In the Wild West that is the London bike trade, Urban Cycology is a bastion of reliability, quality, and transparency. It was frankly a monumental relief to work with the guys here, who had prompt communication and forthright advice. While I tried to both sell and purchase a bike, there was never any pressure and I wound up with the best bike I've ever had. Hope the shop keeps doing well, and I know where to go if I have cycle needs!

Jay and Ash could not have been more helpful when I visited. When I arrived to the viewing, they'd set out a number of bikes that were the right size and at the right price range. They were both happy to discuss the different features of the bikes and allowed me to test ride each of them. They were incredibly generous with their time and able to answer all my questions. Although I hadn't expected to leave with anything, I walked away with a lovely new bike! Their stock was top notch and well priced and, more importantly, I was confident the bike would last for many miles! I found a link to Urban Cycology on Gumtree with a range of road bikes, and within a couple of days I had arranged a visit with Ash. He was incredibly informative and honest, and allowed me to test a variety of bikes. I found a bike I love - and Ash was very professional, giving me a formal receipt and assured me if there were any issues in the next few months that I can come back and he would check it out. Quite frankly, with the great expense of buying a new bikes and the worry in general of buying a bike second hand with the risk it could be stolen - I couldn't recommend Urban Cycology enough. Found these guys on gumtree when looking for a second bike to use for commuting around the city. Good list of bikes online then very prompt communication. Was booked into a one hour time slot to allow for covid regulations and safety measures. Easy location right by Kings Cross Station. Super helpful service, very organised so let me try all the bikes available in my size and not just the one I found online. Ended up going home with a different bike - very happy! Great if you want a good second hand bike in decent condition for a reasonable price. I had a really good experience there. Ash was very professional and patient and he helped me find the right bicycle for me. Being at the very beginning of this journey (cycling), I asked a lot of questions and he answered each and every one of them thoroughly and in a professional manner. Another reason why I like this store is that even if you go there with one bicycle in mind, but you realise that it's not the right size for you, they have other options for you to try out. I thought I would go for the Trek 50cm ( because of the size chart) and I came out with a Specialised 54cm. I took it for a 25km ride yesterday after I bought it and it runs smoothly. Communication was good, at first via gumtree messenger and then I called them direct to arrange a viewing. They are busy with the current interest in cycling during lockdown so it took a couple of attempts to get through but we got there in the end. Their lockup is a 2 minute walk from Kings Cross Station and easy to find. Ash was was very helpful and they had a good selection of second hand bikes all in good condition. Easy sale via card machine with receipt emailed through. Very good service and would highly recommend.

I bought a bike from Ash a few weeks ago. He was professional and polite and discussed my needs and showed me the bikes suitable for me. He let me test ride them to my own satisfaction and we discussed the pros and cons and which one would best suite me. At no time was he pushy to make a sale, which was quite comforting and I could make a decision in my own time. When I settled on a bike, Ash gave it a final check and pumped the tyres to the correct pressure, and even threw in a rear light as it was getting dark. I have been riding the bike for 2 weeks now, and I am really pleased with my purchase. I'm glad I came across Ash as it would have been difficult to make this kind of choice in a bicycle shop where the options to test drive are limited. Ash said he is also happy to buy the bike back if I ever want to sell it, which is a bonus if I want to move on to a different bike. But I don't think I will be selling the bike anytime soon, as it is a Specialized Tricross bike that's been kept in beautiful condition.

Initially loved my bike and thought that Ash had taken due care to make sure it was all set-up properlly. Since found out that he let me test ride it around the busy roads with the front wheel unlocked, and let me take it home this way assuming everything was safe (i'm not a bike person!). This meant i was cycling my bike with the wheel ready to come flying off at any moment. Good bike, bad service in retrospect. I would rate them for being a bike supplier, just make sure you get your bike checked out by someone professional, if you don't know what to look out for yourself.
