My bike broke this am on my way to work. I just walked in to Velorium Islington this morning and they fixed everything there and then. After a bad start, it is so great to meet people with a helpful attitude. Very supportive team. Thanks again! It really made my day! Fernando

In a city where bike mechanics are generally grumpy and bike shops charge you for every little thing they do it is refreshing to find a shop that is friendly and welcoming in every way. Roger and Lee are the best. Thanks guys!

A great relief to receive such friendly, helpful and genuine service at Velorution on Essex Rd. Being the main dealer for my bike brand (which I stupidly bought online from Rutland) Lee went above and beyond to help me sort out a faulty e-bike and return it when it was discovered a part to fix it had a 13 months wait time (!what!) Rutland were unbelievably disappointing and frustrating to deal with, but the blow was lessened by such a nice team, Roger and Lee have restored my faith in cycle shops!

I had a last minute pre-race bike issue just before my train yesterday, popped into the shop to try my luck, and my bike was fixed within 20 minutes! Amazing and friendly staff, efficient service and reasonable pricing. I wish I had won as promised, but without your help my second place wouldn't have been possible - thank you very much.

One of the best bike shops in the area. Been meaning to post a review for a while as I have popped in a couple of times with minor issues, and the guys have fixed there and then without charge - top service. I go a bit out of my way to come here now.

Had a problem with the enviolo gears on my cargo bike. Lee popped out of the shop and fixed it on the spot - he knew exactly what he was doing and was really fast. Shop was really busy - he did me a big favour! Can't thank these guys enough

I thought I’d post this as yet again I have had fantastic, helpful service at Velorution, Islington. They are so friendly and have always made an effort to sort my bike out yet to an excellent standard. This time it was Lee who helped me, but the whole team there have been amazing. Can’t praise them highly enough.

Roger has done my bike fitting twice now - he is super helpful and knowledgeable, 5 star service!

I can't praise this shop or its staff enough. So friendly, so helpful, and not remotely patronising if you don't know much about bikes! I bought a new bike there on Saturday and the guys could not have been nicer. Highly, highly recommended.

Its good but odd from my point of view but that might be because I was very familiar with the bike business that used to occupy the same shop.
I needed some overshoes but the young, at least to me, man in the shop said I'd gave to go on line to order that as they don't keep road overshoes in stock as its not their market. Maybe I simply didn't look well enough to check if all they had was the standard commuter fodder but that was what I was told.
I did however manage to get my Islington CC jersey, I'm entitled to as a new member. The assistant was good there as he confirmed that they do keep this kit but they only had a few items but fortunately for me they had one jersey, in my size, in stock. Oh, he also informed me that the sizing comes up small which to me means it probably race fit which is what I buy despite never having raced. Being lockdown skinny might have advantages.
That's it, I got one of the two items I wanted and the service was good without being what I expect of either my LBS or Condor Cycles where I get most of my road and singlespeed kit from.

Seriously the best place to get not only a top notch bike but also the best customer service that I have to say I forgot existed these days
Roger and Lee know their stuff and in a nut shell just thoroughly nice guys

Charge my go cycle when I needed help the most. Top lads.
Update - my peddle fell off while crossing Islington. I managed to coast here on one peddle and they saw to my bike immediately and I was off again within 20 mins. Excellent service!

Excellent service from the bearded gentleman that works in the Islington branch. Very keen to help me get the product I needed. Had a genuine enthusiasm for cycling which really shone through. Some top tips about how to improve my biking experience. Will be back again for sure.

This is the first time I have used Velorution and will definitely visit them in future. Really helpful black guy (sorry forgot your name) fixed the problem on my Trike in 10 minutes. Fantastic help big thumbs up.

I cannot rate this store highly enough. Roger went over and above helping me get my 86 year old Dad sorted out with a Kalkhoff electric bike, helmet, pannier and comfy saddle. He is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and endlessly patient as I know nothing about bikes. Bertie is great too. All in all a very positive experience. Thank you.

Great service. After going across the road to the new bike shop, I ended up leaving because I was made to feel intimated. I went here, & I was treated with respect & will definitely be going back for a service. Great friendly staff!

All the staff are super friendly and know what they're doing. I came in to have a new pair of pedals installed on my bike, I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Thanks!

Also a big thank you to Lee in the workshop and Ben on the shop floor for the assistance (:

I was in bit of a situation after a car clipped my back wheel and knocked it out of place/ jammed the brakes. However I saw on Google Maps that Velorution Islington was close by. I gave them a ring and walked my bike over. They fixed my bike up in 15 mins free of charge! Great service

Not only did the nice man here let me bring my bike inside while I visited the shoe shop a couple of doors down with my toddlers, he was then super helpful explaining to me all the different kinds of bike lock and their benefits. Definitely recommend!

If you love your bike, you’ll love this shop, because they love bikes.
I’ve tried lots of different bikes shops over the years, and when I discovered Mosquito, I was really pleased. I was disappointed when it closed down, and was worried about it becoming Velorution.
However, I was really happy to see Roger still working there, and after years of saving and researching, I asked for his help to custom build a bike within a budget. His knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding of what I wanted exceeded any expectations. Roger is the man! Dave the mechanic is highly skilled, and the bike they produced for me is beyond what I’d hoped for. Their love of what they do shines through.
Lets be clear - this is a bike shop for people passionate about bikes. It’s products are mid range to very high end performance machines. These guys really know they’re stuff.
I don’t understand the bad reviews on here. The service is the highest standard. If this were a hotel - it’d be 6 stars. This isn’t just the best bike shop in London. It’s the best shop. Period.
I love it.

This is quite an esoteric establishment, a huge cut above the corporate bike store. It is curated by bike people, with passion and charm. Fantastic and eclectic array of quality bicycles, and a fabulous range of electric two wheelers also. I bought my Pashley from here and they take care of it regularly, with verve and aplomb.

I had an exceptional service experience here. This kind of place is an endangered species in our mass-produced economy.
My chain snapped while biking to work. Velorution Islington was the closest shop so I walked there to get it fixed. This is a seriously high-end shop, with most cycles ranging from £1500 to over £5000, so I was surprised when they quoted me £20 total for the cost of the chain plus labor. They soon discovered the reason the chain had snapped was a complicated problem with several defects in the rear wheel mechanics. The first person working on the bike declared it dead, but the manager came over and jerry-rigged a magnificent solution I'm guessing 95% of pros wouldn't have come up with.
My bike rides much better than it did before, and after all this, they still only charged me the original quote! If I'd brought the bike for those repairs to another shop, I'd probably have been charged more even before the chain snapped. Who thought a snapped chain would turn out to be a good thing?

Best cycling shop in London
Bertie and Roger are so friendly and knowledgable
Please visit this shop
So pleased I’ve found my new bike mechanic 💁🏽 with no worry of being ripped off especially as a female cyclist it’s so important to feel comfortable so you can asked questions and not feel silly.
Also lovely helmets and Brompton bags

It was a pleasure to have my bike repaired there. All safety measures are observed, hand sanitiser, masks must be worn and one customer at a time. I would like to give special mention to Lee Carter for his courteous manner and the high standard of the work undertaken. Will definitely recommend this service to my pals - Kind Regards all.

I've been to a few bike shops in North London and Velorution Essex Road is one of the best. Roger and Bertie are knowledgable, helpful and very friendly. A great selection of bikes and products as well. Great bike shop!

First class, helpful and experienced mechanic at the Essex Road shop. A short visit and I had 3 further gears to go home with.
M. L.
Went in to have my cleats adjusted. Really great service. Explained what they were doing as they did it and why there would be a benefit from the changes. Will definitely be going back for a bike fit.

The folk at Velorution had me back on the road within a working week. The price was reasonable for the parts and labour, and they tried to rescue components rather than replace where possible. Would recommend and use again.

The new high end bike shop that replaced mosquito bikes. A great selection of high end road bikes and stylish commuter bikes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always a new interesting bike to look at (and covet)
