Martyn has serviced my bike several times now, always a fabulous and faultless job, with plenty of sound advice too. Most recently he did a superb job on a nearly new Bianchi, which had been rode less than 10 times, Martyn did a better job than the retailer making sure everything was set correctly. Whilst I was working a night shift at the Christie, someone tried to steal my bike and knocked all the gears out of line whilst trying to remove the back wheel, rendering the bike unrideable. Martin was an absolute hero, stopping his other work to have it fixed within 15 minutes, meaning I could get home and get to sleep. He was so kind and professional and I am so grateful. I’ve had two bikes serviced by Martyn recently and the level of skill and customer service is the best I’ve ever experienced vs any bike shop I’ve been to. If you don't completely read reviews, then you should definitely use Martyn, because he's brilliant. Now for the actual review. If you're anything like me then you won't let any old person loose on your bike, so you'll have no concerns letting Martyn work on it. He knows his stuff, keeps you fully updated on what he's doing (with photos!), and you get the feeling he treats every bike like they're his own. On top of all that he's a genuinely top bloke. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and he'll definitely be keeping my business.

Having previously had my Defy in for a service I chose to work with Martyn on a build for my new bike. Martin was well informed about the options I had and patient with my endless questions. Really helped me navigate the millions of options and come to a plan I was happy with. The build on the bike is first class. Done with a real passion and to the highest standard. Can't recommend Martyn enough, the work that he did on my bike was as good (if not better) than any shop I've taken it to, and much better value for money. I found the process of getting and keeping in touch very easy, all done through messenger or text and, though I live close enough not to have needed it, I understand he has a pickup service as well, which is fantastic. If you've been in a situation where you somehow have to transport a busted bike to a far-off repair centre (as I have been in the past), you'll know the value of getting it collected. He's also a really nice guy, with a real passion for his job. In the future I'll using Martyn for any bike work rather than one of the shops - I'd much rather support a small business, and I think he's much quicker and better value than they can be as well.

Saw Martyn last week to repair the derailleur system and for a general wheel/break service on my old Dawes road bike. The whole process was a lot easier than with a bike shop I had previously used. He was able to give me a quote a couple weeks before just by looking at pictures I sent of my bike. A really sound guy who is also obviously a great mechanic. He also charged me half the price a bike shop I had seen had quoted me. I got the impression that Martyn wanted to make the repair as affordable as possible to help me get back on the road. He got the job done in one morning which was way quicker than I expected (a few hundred years quicker than it would've taken me!). Thanks for all your help!

Martyn has just done a full rebuild of my Cervelo road bike and it has never felt better to ride. It went in for a derailleur repair but he spotted a crack in the frame. Without me having to do anything he got the frame to a Carbon specialist who fixed it better than new. Martyn returned the bike built back up - with nice touches like high quality bar tape. It was pretty expensive overall but his hourly rate is very reasonable for his level of expertise. Basically, it’s a combination of 100% no hassle and 100% trusted workmanship that makes this a 5 star review. The fact that he is a really nice guy and loves a bike chat is an added bonus.

I initially found the Service Course Manchester whilst browsing Facebook and booked Martyn to carry out some long overdue work on my time trial bike. Booking was easy all online and he quickly responded to confirm the particulars of the job. He attended the appointment at my home promptly and work was carried out to a very professional standard. Since then I’ve booked Martyn to do jobs on my many bikes (today my turbo bike for Zwifting now running smooth as silk) I cannot fault his advice, professionalism and detail on every job. I have referred him to my friends in my cycling club and other contacts further afield all with positive feedback. Personally I wouldn’t go to anybody else to service my bikes, Martyn is highly recommended I’d give him 10 stars if I could. His hourly rates are reasonable, parts at cost, service at your door or his workshop in South Manchester at your preference.

Well with the whole madness with bikes due to pandemic I decided to buy a frame and build the bike I wanted. I got into touch with Martyn after seeing his Facebook page.
