My experience with Gary the Velo Mech was the opposite of dealing with any of the larger bike repair places. He was attentive, caring, efficient, value for money and just a nice guy. I've used him twice recently to repair two different bikes and both have come off feeling and riding like new. I'd strongly recommend him to anyone needing work done on their bikes.

Was cycling the coast to coast last weekend and Gary managed to squeeze me in a couple of days before to check on everything and swap out a couple of little bits. He did a great job and picked it up a day later. Very reasonably priced. Bike ran smooth for the C2C, much better than before. Highly recommended for any servicing and I’m sure much more! Cheers

i'm touring the length of the country and got stuck in some rain and mud yesterday. i gave gary a ring and asked whether i could borrow some cleaning supplies and chain lube. he let me use his stand and all of his equipment, then gave me a hand tuning up the gears and breaks. he is very knowledgeable and incredibly generous!! can't recommend this place enough.
