After buying a used bike and it arriving damaged (the front fork-ends had been bent so the wheel axle couldn't slide in), I was afraid that I had just wasted my money. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner as he need my professional assistance with his problems. So I returned the favour. WOW. IT WAS MUCH MORE THANA REPAIR. It maintaince of man and machine. I have been cycling for nearly 60 years and had my bikes serviced many times. Never before was I told how to, when to what to, use my gears to get the best from them and minimise wear on the components. Adjust my breaks to keep the grip pull the same. To look for wear in my tyres. To understand the detailer so I can do the fine adjustments. Knowing what to do. To keep my cycling performance at an optimum. Once upon a time I cycled 22 miles a day. Back an fro work. Now its a leasurely w once or twice a week but its really inportant to my health and well-being. The little thing I learn on Saturday 9 October are investments in my future cycling. Where to start so 6 months ago I bought a bike it was brand new out of a box for a few weeks it worked fine then about 2 months later I'd given up on it as was having loads of problems with it I decided to take it to halfords to see what they could do to fix it they did their tests and quoted me £128 to fix all the issues I decided to leave it as didn't feel it was worth it for a £200 bike another 2 months went by and I was about to write the bike off and buy another one but I stumbled across Citizen Cycle after a google seach for cheap bike repairs so I decided I would take it down to Khal to have a look to see if it was worth saving Khal took the time to look at the bike and point out all the issues with it there was a lot to be done but Khal insured me he would get it in tip top condition I left feeling well informed and hopeful he could save the bike a few days later I go back to collect the bike and as Khal brought my bike out I was shocked as the bike looked better than it did when I first got it Khal went above and beyond and the ride back home was a dream everything just worked as it should and was so easy and enjoyable I can't thank Khal enough for saving my bike if you need repairs done or any advise I 100% recommend Citizen Cycle be your first stop you will not be disappointed and Khal will charge you an honest price.

Best man for the job. At first I was skeptical when I received a referral to see the repair man in a residential address. We agreed to meet and I went to his repair shop. In September Kaliq changed my ultegra to the SRAM RED AXS electronic groupset, vision intergrated aero carbon stem and bars and Hunt aero wheels with XDR freehub. I've waited to do this review, to give a perspective after some miles on the new set up. Still amazed how good it is. Glad I found Khaliq! I came across Khaliq after having a puncture at work and he was the first local bike company to actually answer the phone to me! Khaliq quickly discovered I had not long purchased the bike and insisted on checking all bolts/brakes were tight and functioning as they should to make sure there were no safety concerns. Nothing was too much trouble! Following this Khaliq has had my second hand bike in for a good once over due to a few slight issues, now the bike looks almost brand new and rides a dream! All at a fraction of the cost from if I went to a large corporate name. Any bike related issues, make Khaliq your bike mechanic. He is very, very passionate about bikes, thinks outside the box and will save you money where he can (He also never rushes in the slightest and you will have a good chinwag whilst you are with him!).

The guy in all honesty is as close to a true genius, not only as a wonderful person but a proffesinal in the Cycling World 🗺 There is nothing this gentleman doesn't know about bikes. This guy deserves a Medal 🥉 and the little amount of money he asked for was unreal due to the 1 of the 2 bikes Khal fixed for me was a Chinese import and Khal literally had to take the whole bike apart and bend the frame as it didn't line up. I Initially had no knowledge and experience about bikes however since I bought a bike and have had all my servicing and work complete by Citizen Cycle Mobile Bike Repair Service things have severely turned for me. The one thing I always do when spending my money on anything is look at the cost and value of the work Im paying for. I had quotations for the work I required which I then compared to other bike shops located within Newport and Cardiff. There was a massive difference in price quotes and I have had GREAT VALUE and QUALITY work from Citizen Cycle Mobile Bike Repair Service. He was honest with the work that was considered necessary and work that is optional or work that may be need to be addressed in the future. Because I have had that type of service I returned multiple ocaasions because I have been able to save money and with those savings I have been able to upgrade my bike! My bike is of a different calibar due to the work I have had complete with combination of savings and upgrades! I highly recommend this service to any bike enthusiasts or new starters. I appreciate old habits die hard and if you are already used to have in your work been completed by a certain location but sometimes it's good to try new things. I definitely recommend to start with a quotation and take it from there as you won't be disappointed. I definitely wasn't and I will never look back to any other bike shop.
