Wow, super fast friendly service. Within seconds the owner had my bike was out of the car, booked in for a service and extras sorted. I've been looking for a bicycle company for a while. If you're wondering where to go and want a friendly atmosphere, with very no intimidation whatsoever this is the placed. I don't know why but I was very nervous about going in as a novice cyclist. But the guy who served me, made me instantly feel at ease. I've been to 3 other bike stores in the area and this is the one with the vest service. Why go anywhere else?

Took my ebike here to sort issues I was having with my Bosch motor. The guys there were very helpful and very knowledgeable, they took the time to fully explain what was going on. Repaired my bike in time for my scheduled bike ride and at a very reasonable cost. Service like this is hard to come by these days, can’t recommend them enough. Will be my “go to” bike shop from now on👌

Very friendly, really helped me out and very reasonable price. Living some 200 miles away, I was in Newport for work but also coupled with a track cycling at the Newport velodrome. A last minute change if gear resulted in me needing a new chain and in true fashion I left it to the same day of the racing... Took it in to these guys at around dinnertime and they supplied and fitted my new chain, putting the wheels in and tensioning the chain, with me picking it up after work, ready for the racing on the night. The guys were super helpful, and found myself staying in there a while just talking bikes... Could have easily spent the rest of the afternoon there! I'd certainly recommend, and will certainly be returning the next time I'm in Newport.

Looking for a bicycle, parts, service, guidance or a great chat about things that have either 2 or 3 wheels? You've found the best place to come to! I myself found the South Wales Bicycle Company on a website calling this store the best one in Newport and/or South Wales so I definitely had to check it out. Upon arriving the (presumably) store owner greeted us in a very friendly manner, when I introduced myself and told him what I was looking for he took my upstairs (mountain bikes), gave my some useful pointers and what he thought was important for me to have or keep in mind and about 25 minutes later I drove out of there on a beautiful bike! I honestly recommend this place with a full endorsement and hope you reading this have found your future bicycle shop too.

Simply one of the best bike shops I've ever been in. The two gents spent almost an hour finding me a very specific nut to allow me to go for a ride that night whilst I was in the area. The ride was fantastic in great weather and without the South Wales Bicycle Co I would've missed it! Thanks so much. Some fantastic bikes hung up in the shop if you've got the time to look and appreciate the history. Would give 6 out of 5 if I could!

I could no recommend this bike shop enough. Cycling through Wales on a trip, they helped me out during an emergency. Already fully stacked and booked they saw that this was an emergency and took great care of me.They realised another problem with my bike (brakes and fixed it there and then). The most welcoming and friendly team I have ever seen in a bike shop, I really wish they were my local. Thanks guys!!

Super stars, was told by another company that the bike was un able to be repaired and needed a new crank so though I’d take it to these guys they had a look and said yes no problem. By the time I got home I had a phone call to tell me the bike was done and ready to pick up. Can’t thank them enough.

After a disappointing trip to Halfords to purchase a bike for steve I looked up Newport bike shop and Called them. A very lovely gentleman said they had what we were looking for. Went straight over and purchased bike and helmet. Excellent service and lovely people.

Really great service, were straight forward in telling me that I would be able to do certain things myself and were really reasonable in pricing when I asked them if they'd do it for me anyway to ensure quality. Very happy with the service, the two gentlemen were fantastic and i'll definitely be using them as my bike repair place!

Very helpful. Went in with surprise puncture problem... Tyre too tight on rim for me to sort roadside. They were great.. fixed on the spot and usefully explained why the problem had happened. Good price, friendly advise & knowledgeable.

Lovely guys in the store that obviously know their stuff and have a decent range of stock. I felt each time I went in there could have been an additional member of staff on duty, as the multi-tasking the staff need to do in order to serve all customers doesn't give the dedicated customer experience to each individual. They were let down twice by a supplier when ordering a bike for me.. something that unfortunately reflects on the store, although when the bike turned up it was spot on.

These guys are first class. I changed my bottom bracket and chain set and no matter what I did could not get the gears to shift correctly. I gave South Wales Bicycle Co a call and they said to pop down. They worked on my bike as soon as I arrived and sorted out a few other issues I hadn't noticed at the same time; chain, cables and rear cassette. All this while I waited and for a really good price. Cannot praise these guys highly enough. For any and all cycle spares and repairs go here.

These guys genuinely care about doing a good job on your bike. I wheeled in my brand new road bike from evanscycles which was starting to wobble and fall to bits. They rebuilt it doing everything which Evans should have done. Tightened all the spokes which were terminally loose getting the wheel back in shape. So much better than Evans its ridiculous
