Excellent bicycle repair shop. I took my bike in, with a problem with the headset and the gears. A different bicycle shop had quoted £18 for the gears, and £18 to look at the headset. Chris diagnosed the headset problem within 30 seconds of my being in the shop. I collected the bike later that day, and Chris had fixed the headset problem, adjusted the gears and tweaked the mudguard too, all for £6. I don't see any reason to go anywhere else, this is a proper bike shop.

Amazing service. My bicycle broke down on the way to the university. Chris had it fixed up in minutes and identified the cause of the problem. It's right in town so it's super easy to access. Super friendly and tons of experience.

Chris is 1 of the most helpful and friendly people I know, just whatever you do don't take him a 70s folding old ladies shopping bike as he'll be wanting to throw it in the river! Lol 😆

Went to see Chris a few weeks ago to get the spokes on my road bike repaired. Took the bike to him in the afternoon and was ready first thing the next morning. Excellent service and great price! Plus Chris was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Was recommended this place by a friend and what a great place. Rocked up this morning with two flat tyres and a buckled wheel met Chris easy to talk to kind of guy in a funky retro shop.Dropped off the wheels two hours later picked them up all done fixed and straight reasonably priced,friendly service more important he’s a little independent shop with passion about what he does.Once again cheers Chris 👍

Very nice guy. Took sons bike in today 2 flat tyres and issue with gears. The gentlemen was very honest and upfront. Gave us a quote which was very reasonable for the work to be done. Within an hour all done he had to something extra on the gears no extra charge. Great service really nice guy highly recommended. Thank you for a great service.

Went in on the off chance as was passing. Chris replaced my inner tube, fixed my saddle and also sorted out the gears and handlebar on my lads bike too. All of that for not much money and he even threw in some quality jokes and one liners for free. His friend Trevor was a nice chap too. Would I recommend this place? DEFINITELY!

Having purchased my bike from Halfords sometime ago I was getting a bit disillusioned with their service. Great guys and customer service down there but my bike never seemed to be as good as it could be. Struggled with the gears on the bike for a few days, could not repair. Halfords we closed. Within an hour of speaking to Chris (close to 5pm!) he came around (Covid compliant) collected the bike and had it back with me in less that two hours! All fixed and ready to go. He even adjusted the breaks for me! Cannot recommend strongly enough will defo use again - thanks mate! PS, noting the 1 star review left by Altan Apak, can i advise likely Chris was closed at the time of your call because he was coming to collect my bike which he repaired promptly as described above.

Long overdue review (was busy using the bike). Incredible service, a huge passion and a natural host. Hard to believe, that a bicycle shop can provide such great emotions, but Chris did just that. I had an annoying ebike project that just seemed to be stuck, but Chris managed to make everything work - despite the fact that it wasn't a thing that he advertises of doing. Thanks again, Chris! Chris the owner was superb. His passion for biking is evident and he was so quick on fixing my wife’s buggered back wheel hub and bearings. And then said “if the indexing is out when you refit the wheel, bring the bike down and I’ll index it for free”. Now, how’s that for service? *****

Simply excellent. Took my bike in for a service and Chris said not to go for the more expensive service. Could have made more money from my ignorance but was honest instead. That's worth five stars on its own, but I have an old bike frame which I wanted to go to a good home. Instead of taking it and selling it himself, Chris offered to pass the money back to me. Seriously, you can't put a number of stars on service like this.

After trying unsuccessfully to service my gears, took it to someone who knows what they are doing! Quick, efficient and good price for a whole bike check. And might be coincidence but average speed was quicker next time out!

This is the first time I had been to this bike shop and I took my TT bike in as I had a problem with some internal cable routing that was going to be a very annoying job. The service was exceptional The job was done on time and the bike was in perfect working order. Chris even toed my brake pads and adjusted all my mechs to ensure the bike was working perfectly upon the return which I thought showed exceptional service and attention to detail. Great shop and I would highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant customer service and all round nice chap!! Recently purchased set of lights from Chris, unfortunately front light not charging properly [no fault of velo Haus] . Once informed he hand delivered a replacement the same day. Where ever possible use your local bike shop, as its this kind of attention to detail that makes all the difference. Chris is the oracle of bicycles. He managed to sort out my tyres and bike that was proving to be awkward. The bike runs better now compared to when I got it new and his prices are very reasonable. If you have a bicycle issue, get in touch with Chris first.

If you want a “cheapie” fix this isn’t the shop for you. If you want a proper job done that’s still going to be quick and also a good price; but more importantly is what you actually need doing then you’re at the right place. Not seen Chris give up on a job even when everywhere else already did. Works on all types of bikes, with passion. Something sadly lacking everywhere else.

Chris is one of those “gems” that Northampton town centre is lucky to have, enourmously knowledgable about his craft and a bike nut!! Not Your Average Bike Shop. The big franchise, Classic, " leave your bike with us and will be ready next week sometime.... in the future....!!! NOT VELO HAUS. Great depth of knowledge and superb turn around, same day depending on work load, a relaxed atmoshere that is becoming rare and unique compared to the bigger outlets.
