Fantastic bike fitting experience. I booked the short saddle fitting session and it was exactly what I was looking for. After checking my physiology and where pressure was being placed in my old position, Phil adjusted to an infinitely better position and we tried out some other saddles which he thought would suit me. The service was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and with no hard sell. I came out very happy and with much greater comfort in the saddle. I would recommend to anyone!

After several years of cycling, I decided to try a bike fit due to having developed a couple of injuries that caused me discomfort and aches after every ride in the last couple of years. The session with Phil was really good, he listened to what my issues and expectations were and was able to test and advice on the changes that I needed to help me, seat, cleats and reach. The following ride after the fit was great, by the end of it and the following days I did not experience any of the issues that had been bothering me. I can't recommend it enough!

I recently purchased a low step Whisper electric bike from this store. The customer service was 2nd to none. The staff are knowledgeable, polite and nothing was too much trouble. They made sure my purchase was right for my current needs. The bike was checked over before I collected it to make sure that it was in full working order. I have no problem in recommending them as the place to go if you are looking for a new bike.

We live in the south but our holiday destination was in the north. I needed panniers urgently and everyone said 10 days delivery. I found Rutland Cycles which was on our holiday route, so I phoned & spoke to Andy at the Nottingham store , he was friendly, pleasant, informative and a joy to speak too. When I collected the panniers from the store it was nice to meet Andy and again another pleasant experience. The night before our departure I found a problem with my Brakes. When I got to the store and asked if someone could have a quick look at my brakes because I was going on a cycling holiday, Wayne said he would have a look even though they were busy. I felt Wayne had gone the extra mile & saved the day for me. If anybody needs anything for their bikes I recommend the store in Nottingham were you will find nice, kind and helpful people. Booked a bike fitting session with Phil after a couple of little niggles whilst riding. Phil took the time to understand my type of riding and made some subtle changes to absolutely nail my position on the bike. No more sore back and extra watts coming out from being in a more comfortable position. Served by Alfie as my son's bike had a puncture and the rear brake wasn't working. Great service, very helpful and the bike was fixed within 20 minutes of entering the store! I'd certainly recommend them. The brake was a small fix and Alfie kindly repaired this FOC, the total cost was just under £11. We will be visiting again I am sure.

Great experience and service. Having ridden to feel for 10 years I decided it was time to have a bike fit. Phil expertly assessed, measured and then adjusted my bike . I look forward to putting the new settings to the test. Wish I'd had a fit years ago. A great guy with loads of expertise and tips to pass on. I'm sure it's going to be a great investment.

Went in for some help as I had ordered the wrong part for my sons bike (on line from elsewhere) and the team were brilliant, explained what I needed to order and what not to. Even though they didn’t have the part we needed, they still shared their expertise and experience, Evan and the team were all brilliant. Took my bike in as the front brake had a problem! Lewis took a look at it diagnosed the problem in the lever, he gave me a rough estimated time frame for how long it would take to get the part in and fitted. Part arrived and they didn’t mess around! Rang the Nottingham store at 3:15 on a Sunday afternoon, Andy answered. Asked if they stocked a replacement spoke for my commuter bike. Popped down at 4:00 with the wheel to confirm the size and with both Andy and Lewis offering excellent service as soon as I walked in the door. They offered to fit the spoke for me, just shy of an hour of them closing, no problem for them Lewis jumped on it straight away. Whilst the wheel dismantled I requested a hub service also. Again jumped on it with no issue. Wheel now 110% perfect. And can't recommend both Lewis and Andy enough. Great professional service and willingness to help at the drop of a hat. Price was competitive and happy to have paid more just for the quality of staff and work ethics. Will defo be heading back for future jobs, I have closer bike service stores but these guys went over and above when Im sure many others will have wanted to get out the door ASAP on a Sunday afternoon to get home. The staff at Rutland Cycling are super helpful and friendly as well. They fixed a couple of stiff chain links on my bicycle that were causing the gears to slip. It took them just a few minutes and they didn't ask for a penny. Excellent service! I'll be going back. Oh, and they are open until 5pm even on a Sunday. Can't argue with that! :)

Very impressed with every interaction I’ve had with the staff at Rutland cycling over the last few weeks. Following a recommendation from someone at my local gym I gave Rutland cycling a call to ask about 3 different bikes. None of the bikes were in the Nottingham branch but the guy I spoke to was really helpful and arranged for 2 of the bikes to be transferred from their warehouse so I could see the bikes and have a proper look at them. After this visit Wayne arranged for a further bike to be transferred which I went to view the week after. I was able to test the bikes out in the car park and get a thorough overview of each bike before deciding on the Cube bike. On my final trip to collect my bike I was served by Andy. Again incredibly helpful everything fully explained without feeling rushed and ensured my bike was perfectly set up for me before I left. I can’t recommend the staff here enough and I’ll now be using this store for all my bike servicing requirements, thank you!

I had a 3 hr bike fit with Phil a week ago. Going into it I had no idea how he was going to fill 3hrs but I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the approach. Lots of focus on collecting data to measure my body and bike, then analysing it before making recommendations on the best changes to make. My new seat is a complete revelation. So much more comfortable. I never though bike riding could actually be a comfortable experience. Great to see via the video how the changes he has made has changed my ride position. Been out on a couple of rides since the fitting and pleased to say the changes have felt good. Great service. Met Phil for a bike-fit having returned to the sport after too many years and a less tolerant body with various aches and pains. Brilliant bloke who listened and used his professional knowledge to assess areas of my position making suggested changes. Importantly explaining how the cycling body is affected by the many adjustments that can be made to the bike. Phil’s knowledge of the body, joints, muscles etc combined with different bike geometry really makes a difference. I’m an old former British record holder with years of bike riding experience from the past and yet my visit to Phil and the bike-fit still helped me immensely and I would not hesitate to recommend Phil and his work to anyone. I have a six-speed Brompton bike which recently developed a fault with the chain-pusher, so I could only use three speeds. I tried to remove the chain-pusher but the bolt was seized in place and the edges had rounded. I visited Rutland Cycling without an appointment, and after ten minutes of effort Chris was able to remove the bolt, assisted by the brute force of a hammer. There was no cost for this work. Thanks for the bike fit, it was really helpful and gained some valuable information from Phil. Straight after the fit I went out for a bike ride and took my usual route which I had done already the day before and I averaged 17.7mph over 13miles. After the bike fit I averaged 19mph over 13 miles on the same route, just to mention I haven’t ever hit the 19mph average ever on this route so this was an amazing achievement, clearly the positioning has helped me straight away! definitely feeling the benefits early on after the bike fit, as I didn’t expect I would notice the differences as soon as I got on the bike. Had a bike fit with Phil in the Nottingham store and would strongly recommend it for any level of cyclist. I Was very impressed at the knowledge and understanding of Phil and the use of the technology to maximise the comfort on the bike. I was suffering with pain in various areas after reasonably short rides of up to 50miles but last week managed my first century with none of the pains I took into the bike fit with me. Although this review is not for this shop, I purchased online, and felt my experience should be shared. Bought a new bike from Rutland Cycling on Monday 12th and it arrived Fri 16th. I have to admit, I was initially unsure having read some Google reviews, but after a call to discuss sizing of a bike I was interested in I was impressed by the advice and decided to buy the bike I wanted from Rutland cycling. The ease of transactions especially since these guys are mainly working from home was seemless with the added bonus of a blue light card discount applied. Emails and updates from customer services, namely Michelle were brilliant, phone calls were answered in good time and the bike arrived in perfect condition. Very happy with the purchase and I would definitely make future purchase from this company.

We only went to have a look at a set of lights I had seen online. Approached the store and it looked spacious and quiet inside, which always makes that feeling of dread run through my head "We're going to get pestered by the staff"! We walked in and just got a friendly "Morning", then we were just left to look and what we wanted to. A few minutes later as we walked around we passed another staff member who again just gave a friendly "Hiya, how are you doing" So it was a perfect experience, had a friendly welcome, but didn't have somebody on our shoulder every time we looked at something. Then when we were done, we were served promptly. Not a serious cyclist by any stretch, but now whenever we need anything Rutland Cycles is definitely our preferred choice.

At first I thought of posting a bad review as I found Laurie (manager) extremely patronising impatient and rude. I explained I was knew to cycling however he continued to speak to me over the phone as if I was a child. FORTUNATELY for Rutland Cycling my further engagements were led by Phil, and then Jacob in store. Phil was understanding, concise and unlike Laurie (who provided problems not solutions), gave me advice and guidance after an extremely inconvenient stock issue regarding my chosen bike. His communication was flawless and put me at ease especially as I was arranging the bike during a work trip. Once I arrive in store Jacob was excellent. Truly a master of his craft and his honest and sincere direction led to me purchasing further items. Polite and diligent customer service mean he is an asset to the company. To Laurie, you are in a customer facing role where people are parting with lots of money, think about the way you talk to customers as although I believe it’s unintentional, you could really put people off. Purchased a child seat for my bike, the seat and price were very good and I’m pleased with the item, however I ordered it on the Wednesday with next day Deivery due to be delivered on the Friday so we could take the kids out for a ride over the weekend before the weather turned. Despite selecting and paying for next day (24hr) deliver, it didn’t arrive until the following Tuesday. After I complained to the company they refunded the postage costs but it was rather disappointing that next day delivery took almost a week as they didn’t even pack the item till the Saturday or drop it off with DPD till the Monday.

However, a bike enthusiast came to help me put it together, and couldn't believe the price I had bought my Specialized 23" hybrid for. In his knowledgeable judgement, a £6-700 bike bought for £320 in their sale. Just the job for an entry level cyclist...

Bought a Whyte Portobello from Rutland Cycling this week I’ve been waiting for this bike for 6 months . Big shout-out to Wayne. Wayne could have quite easily dismissed me over the phone when I made an enquiry but he didn’t. He asked me to “Hang on a minute” and went for a rummage. Digging deep he found the small part that I wanted. But that wasn’t the end of it! As I was unable to collect, Wayne, off his own back, agreed to post them to me in his own time. NOW THAT’S SERVICE. Absolutely fantastic! Took them up on their offer of free checks for NHS staff. Front brake wasn't functioning properly and Bosch ebike motor was displaying error. Dropped off at 9.45am and had a call at 11.30am to say check complete and able to collect. Both issues resolved and ebike now runs like a dream. Also very impressed with knowledge and approachability of the staff.

I researched eGravel bikes for several months. I decided that the Cannondale Topstone Neo 2 was the best for me. But I did not want to spend £5.5K on a bike without a test ride. Local suppliers could not assist. Rutland Cycles to the rescue. Laurie Stobbs, Rutland Nottingham - provided answers to all my (very) detailed questions and concerns - taking time to ensure that he understood my needs and ensuring my satisfaction. I would not have bought the bike without Laurie's endeavours, which I believe should be properly acknowledged. The Cannondale is very good (it should be for the price).
