What a great place half way through a charity return trip from Coventry to Oxford and back we had a spoke and a gear cable go. These friendly lads prioritised us and had us on our way in no time even though it was nearly closing time. Had some great bikes for sale too

Had an old bike that broke in the middle of town, took it here. Service was friendly and they were up from with the amount of stuff that would have to be fixed. Didn't end up having the repair but I appreciated then not wasting my time or trying to rip me off

I couldn't recommend these guys enough. The service has always been stellar with these guys. I've been using them for a while now for regular servicing and etc. I was recently in a bike crash and these guys went beyond to help me (free of charge may I add) and laid out all my options on the table, and kindly kept my bike while the insurers were sorting things out for me. Very nice people, top service, great price. Will recommend to family and friends going forward.

great experience here! i fell off my bike for the first time and was super shaken up but they realigned my handle bar and even adjusted my breaks, raised my seat, and raised my handle bar all free of charge. cant thank them enough :)

I have had my bikes regularily fixed here efficiently and with good communication. Their location is ideal- very central in city centre close to where I run my cycle tours from, so this helps lots. The staff are always patient and professional & they have always been willing to lend me their pump and give advice and assist. I bought an electric bike here and I am glad I bought locally from them as whenever I have wanted to get something fixed or to get the bike computer diagnostics checked, they have always offered to date to do that for free too. A phenomenal and professional service from start to finish! Not only did they help me build two bikes, they helped me check both bicycles with a forensic eye for even the minutest fault. You can only really get this level of service and support from genuine mechanics and authentic aficionados of all things bicycle-related. Absolutely satisfied with the service! Very friendly staff and get the job perfectly done! I arrived to fix my gear on my commuting bike as the most urgent fix, but they were happy to fix the other issues as well (breaks, mud guards, bought a new front basket and got it fitted) as they weren't busy that morning, lucky me. Great bike shop in the centre of town, I've only made minor purchases from the shop and the guys have carried out some minor tune up work on one of my bikes, so I can't speak for after purchase care on bikes. They are always willing to take the time to help and offer advice even when it doesn't end in a purchase which I really value. Overall recommended.

After I replaced my rear tire tube at the shop, I got another puncture on the same tube a week later due to old tires - but the second time I dropped in, Neil from the shop helped me replace another new tube on the spot, and while I waited he gave me a voucher for free coffee upstairs, and when I came back down after 10 min everything was done - for free! He went out of his way to help me, and this is the kind of excellent service they provide!

Classic example of an LBS where the staff aren't totally up themselves about bike brands. They'll service anything for a good price and give you good advice about how to take care of it. For those of us who know a bit more they also won't try to compete with you which I appreciate. They'll also do fits and order custom bits for you if you want something they don't have in. Obviously like most bike shops it's not the cheapest but they will work with you.

Bike Zone went above and beyond to help diagnose and correct a tricky problem with my bike. Not only did they complete all the work to the highest standard, and deal with the manufacturer on a warranty issue, they also returned the bike tuned up and in a better general condition than when it went in. They were friendly, consistently helpful, and offered exceptional value. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Oxford for anything cycling.

Just purchased a lock for my ebike from bike zone, they were quick to recommend a gold rated d-lock with a sold secure gold insurance rating. I had no idea what i needed but when one of the guys asked if i was putting my bike on my house hold contents insurance he explained the "sold secure" rating system of locks. I was always worried about locking my ebike up but now feel safe i have the right lock and bike is insured. Great staff. Great shop. Will be back!

Came in with a number of niggly issues with my bike. A staff member helped me immediately, explaining the various issues and different things they could do to improve it. My bike is now a lot nicer to ride, with everything sorted for a mere £12. The icing on they cake is they switched a broken bike light I'd forgotten about at no extra cost. Made my Monday. Thank you very much - you've made this stressed student a little less stressed :)

Brilliant, friendly service. I arrived 2 minutes before closing time with a puncture and knackered tyre. This was on a Friday evening when I needed my bike urgently to get to Eynsham. The staff stayed late to fit my new tube and tyre and see me safely on my way - lifesaver!

I had a bike emergency today when a two inch screw popped my back tyre; Bike Zone was open on a Sunday, the team was pleasant and helpful, and my bike was fixed quickly and much more cheaply than I had feared. Recently had my bike booked in to repair the inner tube and was extremely happy with the service i received. The chap said that tyre itself seemed a bit worn but they'd try fit a new inner tube as i could probably still get more out of the tyre. I arrived at 5.30 to collect my bike and was told they had tried calling me ( i checked my phone, they had) as they had found a split in the sidewall of the tyre and so had to fit a new equivalent tyre as well. I have enough experience with bikes to know that one can't fit a tube to a split tyre as it'll probably go pop again and i'am also grateful that they fitted a tyre without my explicit permission ( i didn't pick up) while still offering to remove the fitted tyre there and then, free of charge, if i objected. Obviously i had no objection ( they showed me the split) and it meant that i had no delays in getting home - the only thing you want to do on a friday evening! They covered all corners to make me happy and should i have any other problems, i will definitely go back again.

I'd put the bike in the highest gear one side and lowest the other side, and the chain was too tight to get out of it. Walton st bikes quoted me £70-80, saying they needed to replace the chain and sprockets. The guy here just dropped the chain for me and moved it onto another gear - sorted as long as I don't use that gear combination again. Didn't charge me a penny.

Amazing amazing service - was in town about 1530 steaming hot Bank Holiday Monday, derailer failed entirely - 6 miles from home, no buses to where ZI live. No sob story needed - just "yep we could fit a new one now for £40" - DEAL - how good is that - VERY HAPPY - thank you, David.

Very good bike shop, I always go there. The lads are all very handy with bikes, and are very helpful. The shop is always full, probably because people know it's a good bike shop - fortunately there are plenty shop employees so that you don't normally need to wait more than a minute or two

Visited this bike store in order to repair my bicycle, as it was the closest to where my bicycle failed. First of all, you are given a rough estimate of how much it is going to cost. Which is excellent as you can decide whether you’d like to proceed with them or not. They then called me to say it might be slightly more expensive, as following a more thorough inspection of my bike, more parts where needed. Fine with that, excellent communication. A couple days later they fixed the bicycle as soon as my parts arrived. I was amazed that they also changed my chain (which was damaged) and still kept everything within budget. Overall great customer service and very fair pricing. Would definitely recommend!
