G. T.My gear cable snapped on the way to work and I was really lucky to be within limping distance of this shop. The owner was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and generous of spirit getting straight on with fixing it to get me on the road again minutes after arriving, despite at least 5 bikes arriving for planned works. I applaud and thank you Bike Man, you totally saved the day, and not at an extortionate rate either. Will definitely be coming back!

Have visited thrice over last year for help with my Brompton, that needed a puncture repair, sort out a problem with a creaky noise from the front wheel and getting air filled and finding problem with the Brompton pump. B.I can't rate The Bike Man highly enough. I've had work done on my bikes before and its always been to a high standard and a good price. The staff are really friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to help their customers. I recently began my own bike renovation project and was having difficulty removing some stuck headset cups. I phoned up for advice and they offered for me to bring the frame in and they'd have a go at getting them out for me with a special tool. I took it in and it was all sorted for me and no charge for this at all. Cant thank them enough. Bristol is lucky to have this excellent business.

J. H.Amazing service. I had recently bought a bike on the cycle to work scheme, which I waited months to be delivered. On my first ride the chain came off and would not go back on properly. I took the bike to Matt with no appointment. He identified that it had not been assembled that well and was able to fix it up and get it working smoothly within 10 minutes. I will be going here for all things bike related in the future and would 100% recommend.

The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and will not try and hoodwink you into a service when you only need 1 part fixed. If you turn up with a problem that can be quickly fixed there's a good chance they can sort you out right there and get you on your way again without any fuss. A real cyclist's bike shop. -Nice tunes too!

N.Matt and team have serviced various bikes of mine over the years. Always great service and always to a high standard. Great selection of parts, and what they don't have, they are always happy to order. In the modern world of 'bronze', 'silver' and 'gold' maintenance packages, it's great to have a local bike shop which fixes what's broken and charges you fairly for that, rather than doing unnecessary work. Couldn't recommend them enough.
J. M.So my front wheel fork wore out and spectually came off while I was on a train back to bristol. The person in the shop was so intreguied by this that he did the emergency repair immediately instead of the paper work he was meant to be doing.
It was quickly repaired with a new wheel fork, properly aligned and safety tested by the mechanic, (both things I wouldn't have thought to ask for) and all done in like 25 minutes and he pumped up my tires because they were a little low.
All round excellent experience, will return next time my bike does something strange.

I’m a recent returner to cycling and had a “basic bike maintenance” lesson and a bike service. Was really useful and gave me great confidence should my chain come off and I get a puncture in the middle of nowhere! Obviously very experienced and knowledgeable but couple that with friendly service and this place is a winner!
