Tried Bowland Cycles for the first time after moving to the area and hearing Ian’s name mentioned by different people when I ask who’s good in the area. I went for the 5Star service along with a few other repairs/updates needed and I have just returned from a short 6mi test ride and my initial impression is WOW! Gone are the creaks from the bottom bracket and grinding headset bearings! The gear changes are now smooth and precise and this 4yr old Specialized Roubaix rides better than new 😊 Very happy with the whole experience, Ian is a friendly guy, provided lots of detailed information, offered advice and his bike detailing is next level. As a neophyte I fully appreciate the professional approach to servicing my eBay acquired bike. The work was clearly explained so I now understand a lot more about the bits on the bike and their function. The bike was returned in great condition, probably cleaner than it was when originally delivered to its first owner in 2006. Looks great and now rides more smoothly, gear changes are easier and braking more confident. Thanks Ian.
