Keep coming back to the workshop here because the mechanics are quick and extremely helpful. Had steer tube cut, hydraulic brakes bled and rear derailleur repaired. Much better than some other bike mechanics I've used and I will continue to use Evans Preston in the future! I've recommended the workshop to friends and family members wanting to service their bikes, and they've all walked away saying the same as me! Definitely 5 stars.

Service at Evans Cycles Preston store recently was excellent. Telephone enquiries answered promptly. Helpful advice in store, a test ride arranged on our first visit and ordered the bike I wanted in store. The 2018 model bike I ordered arrived damaged and there was not another one available so I was offered the 2019 model for the same price. On collection a staff member helped me choose a helmet and took my bike out to the car for me. I would definitely recommend this store to other people.

Got a new bike with some inherent faults, manufacturing faults I hasten to add. The guys in the store, even though it was extremely busy dropped everything and sorted them out in front of my eyes. Excellent service received this afternoon. I had been messing about with the rear mech on an old mountain bike for months. Whatever I did it would skip on one gear or another. A few minutes after I had brought the bike in the workshop staff diagnosed a bent hanger. A common fault no doubt but my mind had been on other possible causes. Once the hanger was bent back again I was on my way. Good chat and explanation. Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Went in to get my Carrerra Hellcat 29 inch mechanical disc brake converted to hydraulic and to say that job was to standard is an understatement they did a smashing job the bike is as fast as ever and the braking performance is just astonishing highly recommend only done in 3 days.

This shop is ideal for any bicycle lovers. Staff treat you well and are always very supportive and friendly. I spoke to one staff member and he explained me everything about road bicycles. I don't have huge knowledge in bicycles but the staff explained me everything I needed to know and answered to all of my questions. Thus, without a doubt this is a good place to enquire about bicycles, to purchase one and even to fix one. If you have a bicycle or planning to purchase one, head to this shop and you will get all the help you need.

Been to this place today 15/5/18 for a new bike helmet. The guy I was chatting to had long hair, Never got the guys Name🤣. Very helpful and went through things with me before making the purchase. The stock of bike gear is unbelievable from top of the range e bike's and every other kind of bike to spanners.

I attended a Fix it class a few weeks ago and it was excellent. Josh was extremely knowledgeable and patient, talking us through what we needed to know and tailoring the class to our needs. He gave us more of his time than the advertised hour and helped with specific problems with mine and the other attendee's bike. I also received a goody bag worth at least the £15 the course cost. I was sceptical about going but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

I love this place! Knowledgeable, helpful, patient and friendly staff, good quality components. Got to know them when I went through a spate of multiple punctures near UCLan. They happened to be the closest shop I could drag my bike to! I'm so glad!! I prefer to be left alone when browsing as well, (I do often get asked, but not intrusively) so this store suits me down to the ground. You can always ask for help! They now advertise "Fix It" courses on the website. Given my experience at the end, I would highly recommend! When I did need a new bike I needed something very specific, and I tried going to them first. However for what I needed their usually fantastic knowledge didn't quite stretch that far. I ended up going to Paul Hewitt Cycles for a touring bike built to my measurements. Given how specific my needs were I am still giving 5 stars. Evans is like a "John Lewis" of bikes. If you need a good "suit" they do very well for almost every occasion, but if you need something a little out the ordinary then you need a "Tailor". So I ended up completely rebuilding my ailing bike bit by bit and would take it in to get a suitable part. I'd ask (lots of) questions and so a couple of the mechanic staff got to know me quite well! They did always advise that I needed a new bike really, which I did but didn't have the budget for at the time. Plus I did have a lot of fun and learnt a ton from what I did to my "old faithful". Parts were usually cheaper on the net, but the advice and quality assurance is worth it.
