Have been buying electric bikes from Stuart for many years. Always courteous and helpful service, very obliging to remedy any problems, great after sales and maintenance service.
We use our bikes on our extensive farm and put them through a lot of stress and strain. They never let us down and have proven durable and reliable. Thoroughly recommend Electric Bike World.

We bought three Buzz foldable electric bikes from Electric Bike World about twelve months ago for use with our motorhome. The bikes have behaved faultlessly. Small, foldable and relatively light (20 kilos) the bikes have been used extensively with and independent of the motorhome. A pleasure to ride with a generous saddle height adjustment, easy to use gears and a simple LED array showing available battery power and which of the three levels of electric assist has been selected. The battery is stored in a lockable module fitted under the rear carrier and is easy to remove for off bike charging.(approx.3 hrs flat to full). We have adhered strictly to the recommended battery charging regime and the batteries show no perceptible power loss so far. Minor maintenance (oiling chain, adjusting brakes, tyre pressure) is no major chore as the bikes are provided with a comprehensive toolkit.
Dealing with Electric Bike World has proved to be a pleasurable experience. Knowledgeable, professional with integrity and honesty, I can only give five stars and a "Well Recommended".

As a previous electric bike owner I did a lot of research before purchasing the City Sport bike and have no regrets. I was sold on the battery performance and features it offered compared to the competition. One particular feature I find extremely useful is as soon as you start to pedal the motor kicks in, very good when you are trying to start on a hill. My other electric bike needs the crank to go round at least a full turn prior to motor assistance.
Stuart Conway could not be more helpful, I called him several times prior to and after the purchase and he answered all my questions in a friendly professional manner. I really enjoy the City Sport bike, I use it most days just for pleasure. It was a good buying decision, and I am confident that in the unlikely event of any problems in the future they will be rectified by Electric Bike World.

I purchased two E-Bikes in March a Mountain Sport and Alpine Sport for my wife and myself. Both are well built and feel well planted on the road, a bit on the heavy side but no different to any other e-bike in that respect. I use my Mountain Sport for a twice weekly commute to my work place 18 miles each way and have now about covered 500 miles so I think its time to give the bike a proper review.
In a Nutshell its great! Once you ride one you will never want to go back to cycling without E-assistance. I am not a small bloke and with me and fully loaded up with two panniers of work clothing and Laptop it performs effortlessly. The trip to work takes just over an hour from door to door and averages about 16 Miles per hour. I arrive at work having had a great aerobic workout but not "destroyed" by some of the brutal hills I have to ascend on the way. The bike does not do all the work for you (well it can if that is your preference) but it certainly helps to give you that firm confident push up the hills. While cruising the E-assistance helps you maintain a high average speed but tails off above 15-16mph. That's not a problem as once you get going the good gearing on the bike lets you put a little effort in. I have not fully tested the range yet (80 miles claimed) but a commute round-trip of 38miles still has 3/5ths of the charge remaining. After about 20 miles when the motor is working really hard up some of the hills the battery indicator shows as low as 1/5th but once on the level the display shows 3 or 4/5ths. The Alpine Sport is no different and the only negative is a mild rattle from the Alpine Sport's mudguards.
I'm Nearly 60 and suffering mild arthritis in my knees, the bike has allowed me to experience the joy of cycling again and is helping to increase my overall fitness.
If you have any doubts about buying one just try one out, you will wonder why your face hurts so much! In fact its the permanent grin that these bikes give you. They are just Brilliant.

I have bought three electric bikes from Electric Bike World in Southampton (one for me, one for my wife and one to replace mine when it got stolen in Oxford). I bought my first electric bike from another retailer in Oxford but now realise that by comparison, the LifeCycle range and after sales on offer at EBW are far superior. The other retailer's poor quality (bike and customer care) made me look further afield and I have never looked back. I'd rather travel from Oxford to Southampton on the few occasions that I need Stuart and his team's excellent expertise than put up with mediocre service nearer home. The two year warranty adds peace of mind when making a large purchase such as this.
When I had my LifeCycle Mountain Sport stolen in 2016, I asked for exactly the same model to replace it, as there was no way, in my opinion, that it can be improved. I also bought my wife the alpine version at the same time (easing the financial hit with a 0% finance deal that Stuart arranged for me).
I cycle 14 miles to work every day (all weathers - unless it is icy) which takes approximately 50 minutes and it has paid for itself many times over in car / petrol / parking costs. Routine maintenance is done locally (I use a standard bike mechanic for brakes, punctures and minor repairs) and anything major, I pop down to Southampton, where I have always received top class service.

I have nothing but praise for Stuart & Electric Bike World. I bought a folding LifeCycle Traveller (online) in August 2015 & have been very happy with the bike + the support I have had since purchase.
I am based in London and don't have a car, so can't get down to Southampton for any servicing, but Stuart has been at the end of the phone & always responds promptly to emails for the service needs I've had. For example, I had an crash that stuffed up the motor kill switch houses in the brake levers, but I was able to problem solve this as the cause and then fixed it myself with guidance from Stuart. Another time I needed to change the pedals and he posted me the tool I needed to loan to do this, at his own cost.
More recently I needed a replacement front wheel axle lock nut, and again Stuart very generously posted me x2 for free - fantastic post sales support!!
All other bits & pieces I have needed doing (general bike servicing of cables etc) have been mechanical so could be done by a normal bike shop. I just needed to show them how to unplug the motor when taking off the back wheel (there is a little arrow showing you where to line up the plug to reconnect it - easy peasy). But good to know that Stuart was always happy to help if it was ever needed it to reassure the bike shop.
I've been extremely happy with the LifeCycle Traveller as a bike. Even though it is Chinese made the motor is well sealed & has been fine, no electrical problems at all.
The front tektro disc brakes are really good quality (the better quality bikes have a disc brake). Rear brake is a normal pad brake. Ive been able to replace both brake pads myself no problems at all. The brakes are not hydraulic so much easier to maintain.
Having an electric bike has changed my commuting life - no more expensive and overcrowded tube, no more tube strikes, it is much faster and I also get fresh air every day. Even cycling in the rain is fun if you have good wet weather gear (jacket, trousers, under helmet cap & shoes) - these are my favourite days riding as there are less cyclists on the road & very exhilirating.
