Sadly Peter may no longer be with us, but his shop lives on. Popped in for a puncture repair, fast service at a great price! I love these old fashioned bricks & mortar family businesses. We should all support them instead of the larger chains/web based suppliers before they disappear.

An excellent place to buy a bike in Locks Heath area. Has been there for years. I bought my Saracen there. Unfortunately it got stolen by somebody local. And the service is second to none.

Excellent local independent bike shop. Got the parts I needed for my Sinclair C5 and came home with a new bike.... Good advice and good range of parts available..even if they don't have it in stock at that store they will get it from one of their other stores..

We have purchased many bikes over the years from the Park Gate shop for us and our children, we have always received friendly helpful service from very patient staff (as our girls refuse blue bikes & change their minds on style 3 times). We have also used them for repairs and again always had good service! We would highly recommend them.

Bought a secondhand bike online that needed some new front and rear gears, along with a couple of other smaller repairs. Booked it in for a repair, no hassle, very polite staff, reasonably priced and the bike works perfectly now. I'll be back there for anything and everything else I need bike-wise, Halfords never again!

I always take my bikes in to Peter Hansford's shop for repairs and servicing. In fact, I live in France but I even bring them back to England when they need anything doing. I first used Peter Hansfords 40 years ago. Then as a teenager, I transformed a basic "Old Mans" bicycle into a trendy bike to match those of my mates. I was provided with all the help and advice and items I needed to make that transformation. 40 years on and the service is just as good. Again, I needed some advice and a new handlebar stem and after listening to my requirements , I was sold the part I needed. The gentleman serving was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You just don't get this type of service with larger bike stores and I will definitely be visiting Peter Hansfords in the future for my cycling needs.
