C. R.I had a fantastic week with Rob on the bike frame building course. Rob has seemingly infinite patience and good humour and I was made to feel lost welcome. I can't recommend Bicycles by Design enough and if I wanted an ebike or a tandem and/or another custom bike I'd start there

A. W.Just picked up my Thorn tourer from Bicycles by Design for some minor work and a safety check prior to a cycle tour. As ever the team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all aspects of cycle maintenance. My first visit was last year when they expertly fixed a bent derailleur hanger when the original frame builder said it was beyond repair. Pete, Rob and his great team come highly recommended!
B. W.I went to Bicycles by Design for help with a bicyle restoration/refurbishment project, and I'm incredibly pleased with the final result and the customer service from BBD.
My main contact at BBD has been Rob; he is supremely knowledgeable and was willing to help me realise the restoration/refurbishment whilst keeping to a smaller budget than I am sure he is used to dealing with.
A fair amount of work was required, including a full respray (Rob coordinated this with Argos cycles in Bristol, and the results were impeccable), which took a couple of months.
Whilst the work was ongoing, I emigrated from the UK; Rob and his team were incredibly helpful in packaging the bike and coordinating it's shipment to me abroad.
I would thoroughly recommend BBD, and Rob in particular.

Rob did me a Pro-fit and I ordered my VN Zion 29er at a very competitive price.
Peter and Dave also looked after me and spent a lot of time fine tuning my bike to fit perfect. I was getting back and neck pain from my previous bike on long distance rides. I am planning a LEJOG ride next year and wanted bike set up properly. These guys know there stuff, I have no pain at all when riding now. Highly recommend there bike shop to anyone looking to buy a quality bike or for a bike fit. Thanks Guys A+++
