Had an ebike made a couple of years ago. The communication was great and I can say that the build has stood the test of time (going strong even to this day). I appreciate that the kit I had didn't go perfectly with my bike, but Jack had the patience to make it work and I have been very happy with the result. Would highly recommend!

Contacted Jack for service of two bikes in the middle of summer. Despite his busy schedule he promptly arranged a date for the services. Jack is very knowledgeable and extremely professional, offering advice on top of the bike services. After service was brilliant too, I have emailed Jack for further advice regarding the bikes and he has been more than happy to offer this up. An honest and hard working guy offering a great service to those in the local area, highly recommended.

I found Jack following several recommendations on the local Next Door web site. I needed the gears setting up properly and a few things checking over. He responded quickly to my message and popped over our house at a mutually convenient time, a couple of days later. On arrival in his van, he set up with mobile workshop on our drive - all quite impressive and very professional. He was happy for me to watch and chat while he worked; on completion, I asked him to look at my wife's bike too, just to make sure everything was in order. He did some fine tuning, it was obvious he knows his subject very well. My wife and I have been out for a few rides since the work was done and the gears are working really well now - no chain coming off. We're both really pleased with the work and happy to recommend him to others. All in all - I would definitely use Jack again for his knowledge, professionalism, customer service, value for money and for being a thoroughly nice chap.

Lost Yak is a local business, run by Jack who is very knowledgeable regarding bikes. He offers servicing and repairs which are very reasonable priced and includes pick up and delivery service, which in itself is invaluable. I found Lost Yak on a Google search, I’m very glad I did. Jack serviced my bike, which also needed a few parts; the service was quick and efficient. Jack was recommended to me by buddy, Matt Stephens, after he had repaired a mountain bike for Charlie, Matt’s son. I have a 15 year old Specialized mountain bike that was in need of a new inner tube, two replacement tyres, some gear love and new cables, and a good deal of attention from a professional bike mechanic - like Jack! Thankfully, thanks to Jack, and an hour and a half of his enthusiasm and mechanical skills, on Tuesday, I now have my trusted old cycling companion back and in great shape to start the next 15 years of adventures! I contacted Jack @ LostYak, after he was recommended by a fellow cyclist. We have a range of bikes varying from road to MTB, with spec from high to lower end. We opted for a Gold & Silver service for two main bikes together with various upgrades, and also repairs on the older one. Jack was incredibly helpful and professional throughout, explaining the options where necessary and sourcing parts at competitive prices. All repairs, service and upgrades were of the highest standard. His passion for biking and extensive personal experience are evident. The benefit of all this taking place at your own home is invaluable, particularly in the current climate. It is also far more convenient than transporting bikes to a shop and then potentially having to leave them and make a second return journey to collect. We have already referred Jack to several friends, who have also been extremely happy with his work. In summary the service provided by Jack @ LostYak is friendly, trustworthy and of the highest standard, whether you have the latest top end bike, or an old wreck that’s been sitting in the shed for years! Jack at Lost Yak was recommended to me by a friend who cycles way more than me. I had a problem with a Kona bike which had been in store and was a bit unloved. Jack came to the house with his mobile workshop and in a very short space of time had sorted out the gears, cables and brakes and the strange noise I could hear when riding the bike. Lost Yak are knowledgeable and the customer service you get is 5 star. The prices are discussed in advance and I would not hesitate in recommending to bike owners in Shropshire. As an added bonus Jack understood that during Covid and lockdown it is important to social distance and everything he did made that process easy the bike was fully disinfected before he worked and then as he handed it back. Jack has looked after 4 of our bikes from routine servicing to replacing broken spokes, wheel rebuilds, gearset upgrades, full brake replacement to suspension tweaks. He knows his way around bikes, gives you sound advice and only replaces the components that need to be.
