I first came in contact with Paul 2017. Unlike others, he spent significant time giving good practical advice, allowing me to try various options to suit my need & of course budget. The Silver Back Solar 4 is same bike I still have, ride regularly & recently had serviced by Paul. Paul's friendly high quality practical advice at what I feel is at a reasonable cost. Has again, been validated by his post assessment service & my improved riding experience. And is reason why I will continue to trust & use his services. Thank you Paul 🤗

I have had a couple of minor repairs done and a full service. Paul is very helpful and knowledgeable, with lots of good advice. The work done ensures that cycling remains a pleasure with gears working crisply, no unidentified rattles, creaks or cracks and a smooth ride. This on a bike that is 20 years old. Amazing service. I urgently needed help to make sure my son was safe later that night. In all honesty, I can't speak highly enough of Swish Cycles. Paul's passion, attention to detail and workmanship is second to none. I took my 12 year old road bike which had been neglected for the last couple of years to Paul for a service. The bike is now in the best condition it has been in for at least ten years. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul and will definitely take it back to him next time it needs a service.

I used Paul's services for my bike in the past (below review), I was very happy with him. It was then a nice surprise to find out he was one of the stockist for Frog bikes in Woking, as I was looking at buying one for my daughter's birthday. Again I cannot fault his services. He offers advice without pushing to buy. His communication is perfect, he warned me immediately when the colour we had chosen was out of stock and offered alternatives. The bike was received and built in a day and what more? He actually dropped it off at ours, when I couldn't come to pick it up for a few days. That's what I call the personal touch. Previous review: Paul serviced my poor abandoned Brompton, which had just spent 7 years stuck in a cupboard. He did a brilliant job breathing life back into it, which proved very useful when trying to move around longer distance in the middle of the pandemic (I don't drive). He sent me pictures of the job done, was very friendly from start to finish. I can only recommend!

SwishCycles is slightly unusual in that it is not in a town centre. Instead, Paul the owner, operates his own business on the driveway of his house. And because this is a small independent business, you get to meet and talk with the owner and engineer at the same time. That's Paul. If you're a bike fanatic and you want to discuss bike specifications and configurations, Paul's your man. I'm not a fanatic but I do like to learn and Paul wasn't shy helping me understand the good, the bad and ugly about my road bike. He listened to my riding patterns, how I use the gears, my observations of the bike, and he then discussed and showed me how things could be better. Was he "selling" to me? No... I don't think so. Along with a full service that had the bike stripped down to the frame, he cleaned it up and then put it together with a new gear configuration. When I took it out yesterday for the first time, not only did the bike look new, but it performed far better than the day I first picked it up from Evans. If you're in need of a bike service or tuning, Paul... is your man. Highly recommended.

Excellent communication from Paul throughout. He’s always thorough in his work and will give an honest view on what does/doesn’t need to be done. The videos he send of the work he’s done on the bike aswell as what needs doing is great for people like me who aren’t bike experts. Would definitely recommend Swish cycles.

Paul will only do proper services/repair jobs. He won't be doing half completed jobs on your bike, so you can be sure your bike is safe. That means it likely only makes sense to come with a better branded bike, than with a Halfords own brand for example. As the cost of repair is likely prohibitive for no name branded bikes. So we ended up replacing my sons bike by buying a Frog bike from Paul, which worked brilliantly. I also serviced and repaired my own bike for a bigger cycle trip. Didn't even realise, that my break fluid was leaking and that there is so much wear and tear on a chain, which needs frequent replacing. Paul is always keeping to deadlines, even if it means working or picking up on weekends. His communication is outstanding, so you always know where you stand.

Paul is a wizard at fixing and servicing bikes. My brakes were really smooth after I took it to Paul to get it repaired. This really is an amazing place to get your bike repaired. If you have any problems with your bike Paul will give you the answer immediately. Really quick and reliable too. I would highly recommend you to go to this place to get your bike repaired. Plus it is reasonably priced too.

Paul is an upstanding guy. Genuine, honest and reliable. The bikes are stand up quality. Paul really does go above and beyond to make sure you chose the right bike suited for your needs. My husband rides his bike everywhere, everyday and he couldn’t be happier. The level of service and aftercare Paul provides is like nothing we have ever experienced before. Have a question, he will answer it, need something fixing, he will do it and all for a very very very good price. There is no chance to do would go anywhere else. Paul has been servicing my bikes for a few years now. Always helpful, always goes above and beyond. Most recently serviced my bike before a trip to Belgium. It was honestly a revelation afterwards. Like a new bike and his tyre recommendation in particular was spot on, it felt like the bike was floating! In addition, a small issue I had with a component shortly after (not Paul’s fault) was resolved immediately with a warranty replacement on my behalf. Couldn’t ask for more.

I am delighted to have entrusted my bike to an expert, as I am not a mechanic! Having had 7 punctures in a row last year, I eventually gave up trying to repair them myself and took it in to Paul who fixed it properly for me! This year, I have given up after 2 punctures, as my first attempt failed again, and paul found the tint splinter of glass that was embedded in the tyre that I had managed to miss. I will keep coming back to Paul as and when servicing and repairs are required.
