While repairing an old derailleur l found both hanging bracket and connecting bolt both damaged,got the bracket on the Internet but not the bolt, Cyclestreet found one for me even though it was obsolete,saved me the price of a new derailleur. Excellent customer experience from start to finish. I have used Cyclestreet a number of times now for servicing. Excellent - 10/10 would recommend. Went to get a mounted bicycle lock which Cycle-street specialises in and was not disappointed. The younger gentleman serving me eventually found the right thing, informed me it was possible for them to fit to my bike, and ordered it into the store to pick up at later date. Unfortunately I have a difficult name, and so it was inputted into the system incorrectly which meant I didn't received my digital receipt. Nevertheless, I correctly got a text to say it had arrived two days later. I went in the next day after work, a gentleman named Jaimie served me, he swiftly and politely changed the email address and forwarded the receipt without problem. Him and his team then kindly proceeded to fit the lock to my bike. Didn't take long and was satisfied with the service and the demonstration, the lock is now keeping my bike safer than it was and I'm very thankful; and grateful. Great shop, great products, great staff, and great service. Thank you guys.

Always good service at a decent turnaround speed. Been told by other bike shops that getting a bottom bracket re-tapped would be a week minimum. Dropped it off at CycleStreet at 1 and was ready for pickup by 3. They also accept the government vouchers and are able to advise on what they can/can't be used for.

Rang on Sat morning looking for an Orbea Gain e bike and spoke to Jon (I think) who said they had one in store in my size (fate). Called down and he went through all the features of the bike and let me go for a test run... which was a bit hairy in 40mph gusts but both me and the bike survived. He came across as very knowledgeable and although they were busy at no point did we feel rushed. We went away for a think and shortly after returned to purchase the bike which we were able to take away an hour later. There was a really good deal on the bike and it came with a value of free accessories which I enjoyed spending, again with sound help and advise from Jon. We had a small issue the first time we went to use it but took it back to store this morning (another bonus of buying local) and it was very quickly rectified. I have just got back from my first 50km test run on it and it was awesome... love it. We had never heard of this store before Sat but have had a fantastic buying experience and would highly recommend them.

Been in recently to buy an e-mtb. John was really good at advising and explaining the reasons of his advice which help understanding more about emtb's. Although I got his advice in regards to suspension size, I went for the one above purely cause stock issues,not cause I ignored it 😊. Happy with them! I recommend them especially if you are a food courrier and that you really rely on your bike to get by as their delay of reparations are reasonable . They are also very understanding about the fact that It needs to be fixed quickly as they know how much a long wait impact our earnings. The only times that you need to wait longer is when you need to order a piece that they don't have in the shop but otherwise, the wait is minimal compare to other bike shops ( I used to wait 1 week for breaks to be fixed or tyres to be fixed costing me to loose hundreds of potential income). Finally , the one running the shop is nice and went even as far as offering me another bike to borrow while my other one waited to be fixed which I declined as I preferred my electric one but it's the gesture that I though was kind. Experience with this shop overall positive, I recommend .

The staff at cycle street were most helpful! After a bad experience at Halfords, and calling around different bike shops in York only to be told they couldn’t book me in for at least another week, Cycle Street booked me in for only two days after I called. They also allowed me to drop my bike off one day early as it was more convenient for me this way, and when I did, they offered to store my helmet for me so I wouldn’t have to walk home with it. They talked me through mudguards of a range of prices, and agreed to try to fix a poorly installed product I purchased and had installed at Halfords. My bike was ready earlier than expected, and they texted me to let me know. Now my brakes are fixed, I have good quality mudguards, and they even fixed the lock mount that Halford’s sold me and messed up. Great experience- I will be back!

I bought a road bike from here and John couldn’t have been more helpful. I have two irritated facet joints in my back and John spent so much time measuring me up for the bike before ordering it. I was under no obligation to buy it when it arrived, but it was perfect and John spent more time when I went to collect it making sure everything was just right and that it was going to be comfortable for me to ride. I've been using cycle street for a fair few years now and have not once been able to fault them. Mark and Jon are always really helpful and have never failed to get my bike fixed in time for my next race (sometimes only with a few hours notice). Cyclestreet contacted the manufacturer discovering that the bike was a bespoke build with several unique features. My go-to for all servicing needs! I regularly get involved in long-distance rides for charity, so I need a reliable, honest and trusting service and repair shop to get me through my rides. These boys do just that. They won’t hike the prices or just add on parts for a quick buck! You can not go wrong buying from CycleSteet. They really care about their reputation and looking after their customers needs. I would recommend anyone looking to buy a new bike to give them a call. I purchased a very specific and expensive brand new cargo bike which they could simply have delivered to me as is, however the brake system, even though hydraulic disk and brand new, were just not up to scratch. This is a manufacturers issue not limited to my bike, Jon was not happy with the performance and wouldn't allow the bike out the door until it was sorted. I would be carrying my kids on this bike so the last thing I would want are spongey brakes. They fitted brand new Shimano Diore hydraulic system at no extra cost to me and still managed to deliver the bike the same day it was promised. I also bought a front pannier rack, which needed quite a few modifications to fit, which they did all free of charge and to a very high standard. Thanks CycleStreet, I will certainly be using you again should I need anything else

Purchased my first full suspension 'All Mountain' bike this week from Jon at CycleStreet. After a few weeks of looking around, reading reviews, many discussions via email and phone and trialling bikes both at Cycle Street and from other shops in the area I decided on the Orbea Rallon X10 which was the current demo bike at Cycle Street. After saving up the readies and arranging a deal on the demo bike I gave Jon a few days notice to get the bike ready and collected it this week. The bike is absolutely spot on, my friends even thought it was new! The first run I did I was grinning from ear to ear. Jon has been extremely helpful with the entire process and as I am new to the full-suspension scene he has taken the time to explain things to me about the bike and it's technology. I also asked if the tyres could be converted to tubeless before I collected which he was happy to do with no extra cost. I have found the whole experience to be very good indeed, I felt like I have been looked after well, had everything explained to me and all my questions answered in a friendly professional manner. I will be using them again in the future!!

Really can't speak highly enough if the guys here. Went in on the Wednesday to enquire about electric bikes. They hold a small but very solid range of #Wisper e bikes and clearly they were very knowledgeable. They'd done their homework and had no issue spending time answering every question I had. I went back on the Thursday and mooched for a good hour going back and forth over my decision to go for a #Wisper 705SE. SO MANY MORE QUESTIONS. Poor fellas. Anyway, I returned on the Friday and purchased the Wisper and, again, just excellent customer service. Not once did I get the feeling that I was an imposition, which I did at several other, unnamed, cycle shops. Additionally I was very much made to feel valued and that any return visit, query or issue I may have would be dealt with in the same way. Absolute class. Called in with drivetrain issues 70k after setting off on a bike tour. They worked on it straight away, were very helpful, friendly and good value for money. They didn't try to talk me into buying anything I didn't need. I was back on the road in about 2 hours and still hadn't had any problems with the drivetrain 2,000k later when I reached Morzine in the Alps.
