Reviews of New Manor Farm Shop
V. V.
Very spacey and smily customer service
Fair prices and tasty food
Had a pleasant full brunch .
They have one of the best brownies and the chocolate cake.
Plenty of parking at free of cost.
N. C.
Cute place. Plenty of space. Lovely coffee. However wasn't impressed with the full English. Over cooked bacon and sausage (like eating cardboard) and extremely greasy hash Browns etc.
s. c.
We had a family event to celebrate a life. The event was a wonderful experience and owed much to the food and staff at the new manor Farm. We really could not fault a single thing. The food was excellent especially the wonderful cakes, scones and sausage rolls. The service was faultless too and very much appreciated
C. H.
Stopped in on our way to Weston-super-Mare for breakfast lovely girl who served us so smily and helpful great breakfast perfect start to day
f. f.
Didn't know this place was here. Actually went for food at the cafe next door but sadly they had finished serving. So thought i will give the shop a go and boy was i surprised. All the normal farm shop stuff plus a butcher and cheese and pastry counter. Brilliant deals to be had inside.
S. M.
Very cyclist friendly. Loads of sale parking for bicycles in the courtyard area. Great selection of coffee and cakes. The roads all around are super good for riding, so it’s an ideal destination to ride to if you are nearby. The Mendips and nearby lake are great. The radiators are a blessing for warming your hands and feet! Thank you for a lovely bike friendly cafe! Update in 2022. Still AWESOME!
R. S.
Fabulous! Lovely staff, great range of food, very fresh ingredients. Had ham cheese and pineapple toastie which was delicious. Would definitely recommend
E. W.
Easy access and plenty parking. Friendly busy staff with simple but interesting menu. Toilets in separate building but nice and clean. Thoroughly recommended.
A. P.
Stables tea room, offering fantastic large portions of home made cake. A great place to go now Woodford Lodge has decided to no longer serve customers tea & cake, no wonder it was so empty.
K. B.
Very nice 👌 lovely food and good shop

P. W.
Great place for morning coffee or lunch, lovely cakes, and a nice farm shop
I.
Nice shop good parking great location super friendly staff but not impressed with my purchases this time the pipes crisp for the price almost £3 the bag Of mine was 30-35% full and the cheese was bland , a shame as went down to cheddar gorge after there cheese is also cave aged and there crisp on sale are big and larger portions and still very tasty, it’s still A lovely shop but I felt overpriced and not great value for money trip , but this is only my opinion
j. r.

S. C.

j. r.
A superb plate of sandwiches with a side salad, order taken and served in next to no time by pleasant staff and at a reasonable price. Added to that a farm shop stocked with excellent locally produced products, what more could you ask for? Thoroughly recommended!
M. C.
Lovely place and very good homemade quality food. Quality Local products.
T. C.
Lovely shop with fresh locally grown organic vegetables, fruit and free range meats. Also has deli counter and frozen foods area. Cakes, and locally made crockery, hats, gloves, books ect. A little on the pricey side but very nice
D. R.
Can't fault the cake and coffee but the service is so slow.
I'm sure there were five people working there today, but it still took about half an hour to get served, and then I had to clear my own table.
L. B.
What a great place we find, lovely atmosphere friendly staff. Great cake
P. P.
Always a good choice of quality foods and naughty freshly baked cakes and scones, including vegan. Clean toilets incl disabled access. Has farm shop and free car park nearby.. convenient for Chew Valley Lake, with ice cream van nearby. Plenty of walks to burn off excess 🌝
J. W.
We were in the area seeing family, and needed a massive cote de boeuf for dinner. All very last minute. I called ahead and spoke to Matt, who said no worries. Come on down..
Not only were Matt and his mate really good fun, and a pleasure to buy from - the beef itself is banging. Cooked it on the Joe over coals, and loved every bite of it.
Thanks, see you next time!
R. R.
Excellent Farm Shop. We always stop and shop on our way past.
Couldn't use the tea room as we had our dog with us but has been excellent on past visits.

N. W.
A nice vist had tea and cakes in the coffee shop all very nice and then into the farm shop an enjoyable vist
G. M.
Lovely food, although a dign says you can't make alterations to the menu although interestingly you can if you pay extra. For example I could not swap my beans for extra mushrooms so I just asked for no beans. My husband could have extra sausage because he paid extra gor it.
Z. W.
Tables weren't being cleared and cleaned had to put others dirty plates to one side to sit down. Scone was OK but a bit under done. Decoration was nice
N. B.
One of the best relaxes in the area. Excellent food and coffee with a seriously nice farm shop selling all of the items that you would expect and more.
My top brunch visit
b. m.
Never heard of the place until my friend suggested meeting for a coffee. Very easy to find and plenty of parking. Got there with a little time to spare so i had a little walk. Went into the farm shop where they sell a selection of everything. The food selection is very good, some of the food selection is products from the working farm. Everything looked good enough to eat. Went into the restaurant and was made very welcome by the staff on duty. Found a table and sat down, it was self-service. Got 2 coffees and a nice serving of chocolate gateau. Very friendly staff and polite. Very enjoyable experience and would recommend this place to all.
J. B.
Good range of local produce including wines and ciders. Also stocks staples like flour, cheese and excellent meat. Has cards and a few gifts.
S. C.
Nice farm shop and cafe with a good selection of goods
A. L.
Great choice of items and fresh fruit & veg for sale. Had a coffee at the café but feel it was a little overpriced for drinks and cakes
D. M.
Great little farm stall in the countryside. We had delicious scones and hot chocolate. The staff were great and the social distancing measures were also well implemented. Will be coming back when we make another trip out here.
G. S.
Nice sheltered little yard.
Had a nice pot of tea.
D. B.
Fantastic little shop and cafe. The produce, especially the meat, is the best I have tasted. It really is worth a visit. We keep going back so it must be good. And the staff are so nice and helpful. Brilliant, thankyou.
J. K.
Excellent food and service shall go again
M. T.

it's nice but always either too hot or too cold in the cafe! food is lovely though but wear light clothes, and bring a warm jacket.... just in case !
farm shop is nice too, lovely treats and cheeses (plus loads more) including butchers cakes jams etc. parking is free and toilets are nice, always helps !

D. i.
Well worth putting your head in. Good variety of products for sale.
R. R.
Arrived at 13:00 on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy. Only one small table inside available. Plenty of space outside though. Didn't have to wait too long for food. When it did arrive it was very tasty. The Victoria sponge cake was also very nice. Service was good and staff were friendly.
G. H.
Went there on a wet day all the tables had reserved signs on them. We sat at an empty table ignoring the sign but were asked to move. I pointed out that there was no-one at the counter being served or waiting for a table so didn't see why they wanted us to move but they insisted. We weren't going to stand outside in the rain so we left. I doubt that we will be back.
G. S.
There's a tea room, antiques shop and a farm shop. The meat is top quality whenever I'm down I buy some t-bone and ribeye steaks. Haven't found anywhere better. Well worth a mooch about.
I. H.
A great location, a pleasure to visit.
K. H.
What a gorgeous little hidden gem! Went here with some family, had some amazing food, plus there is a fantastic farm shop there, an antiques shop and a beautiful courtyard for my 3yr old to run around in (once he'd finished stuffing his face with icecream)
Perfect stop after a country walk. Will definitely be back.
L. S.
A good range of high quality produce from meat and home made pies to larder goods. Not cheap. Emphasis on local suppliers and producers. I was particularly impressed that you can buy and refill glass milk bottles with fresh, local, full cream or semi skimmed milk. More places should do this.
D. H.
Coffee and Cake and a rest from cycling. Service good, pleasant inside and outside in yard.
J. P.
Lovely cafe and farm ship. But postcode sends you further down the road so watch for the signs!
j. r.
Lovely place. Nice restaurant, outdoor seating, lovely food, great farm shop and not far from the lakes.
J. H.
arrived on a Sunday and ordered 1 cheese and 1 ham ploughmans, service was good, food was cheap at only about £7 per dish and both very good, would recommend! After eating there is a farm shop and a antiques shop both worth a visit.

Housed in old stables and new restaurant block, this has an excellent farm shop and serves very good food. Parsnip soup was spicy and delicious if a little slow to arrive. Shop sells wide variety of local and gourmet food. Also antique shop or site.

D. S.
Nice, but busy farm shop and cafe. Have been about 6 times now. Nice breakfasts, but can be expensive for what you get. Farm shop has good stock of local meat and cheese.
R. H.
Bit disappointed with the breakfast, for £9 you couldn't swap for things you didn't like it was a case of take it or leave it, wouldn't have been so bad but they did do scrambled eggs!.
H. F.
