Cannot get ebough of this butchers! The pies and bridie are too die for and not a rip off like the rest of Edinburgh aswell as the homemade sausages cannot find fault and love to come in regularly

I like this wee shop. Red, black and white pudding available. Decent sausages and fresh eggs. Good selection of pies, pasties and sausage rolls you don't struggle to find the meat in (am talking to you greggs). Iv got to try some more from them shall update you when I do. Worth mentioning the staff are lovely friendly and helpful and the place is clean clean. Give it a go if you are passing it's so much better than the supermarkets.

Have tried a think all butchers from Leith to LIVER pool, and it can't be matched clean and you can tell what ever he does to any of pies ,it's fresh and am only me t likeing being shut on Sunday but just but day bed for!!! If you like this butchers ,pleas let me know what you think through comments , as said CAN'T FIND ANY BETTER, GGGRRRTTTT....

Smart butchers make a huge fuss of how fantastic their sausages are supposed to be, maybe to justify the steep prices. The reality is very often different. This, quite nondescript, little butcher's shop is different. It sells plain old "pork links", with no further descriptive embellishment, at a very reasonable price. However they taste sublime: meaty, but not course or chewy; moist, but not fatty; and with the perfect texture of casing. What is the secret? Well it seems 85% pure shoulder and belly of pork, a bit of rusk and seasoning. And the meat is all carefully trimmed of nasties such as skin, that the less scrupulous leave on. The bottom line is that they are delicious. We have a bit of a sausage fetish and buy sausages wherever we are all over the UK. These are the best I have tasted, without a shadow of a doubt. And the butcher, who also makes them early in the morning, is a lovely man too!

As we walked in, my wife and I stopped in just to take a look at the fare from a "traditional Scottish butcher." When I mentioned it would be great if he had duck eggs (my wife is allergic to chicken eggs). Tom said, "I'll have some, tomorrow." We were so thrilled picking up half-a-dozen and our hosts at Allison House Hotel prepared them just for my wife. We were so pleased and it added to the wonder of our first visit to Edinburgh.

(Translated) Local butcher. They close quickly, there is not much stock. However, it is definitely worth buying haggis here :) (Original) Lokalny rzeźnik. Szybko zamykają, towaru nie ma zbyt wiele. Jednak na pewno warto kupić tu chociażby haggis :)
