S. P.A Chinese supermarket in Glasgow. Many might find it surprising that there are a few. The customers are mostly local Chinese. The shelves are crammed with Oriental products. I was seeking rice bowls, chopsticks and rice spoons. Purchased 4 bowls, 2 spoons and chopsticks. Price £22. Delighted. And, an excellent present for a dear friend. They took credit cards.
C. d.Such a great experience shopping here today. The gentleman at the cash desk was so lovely. He explained which order to put our dim sum in the steamer to stop getting soggy dumplings! It made our day as we would never have realised. 😊
A.They carry quite complete Asian's vegetables, noodles, seasonings and even snacks. Everything at cheaper price than others.

C. G.Absolutely brilliant service from this store both times I've used it. Delivery is fast and the most well packaged I've ever had. I ordered items that came in glass bottles as well as some ramen and rice bowls and nothing was damaged in transit. The prices are excellent and there's a good range of products. I'll definitely be shopping online here again.

R. S.Best Asian groceries store in Glasgow
H.Matthew's had been on the go for years in Glasgow, and that's because it has a great selection and cheaper prices than many other Asian supermarkets nearby. It is a bit out of the way, as you go into the industrial estate to enter and apparently they have some agreement with the Chinese bakery across the road, I've not tried that though, so can only say it's always busy. Matthew's has a butcher at the back, where you can properly talk to the butcher and get exactly what you are looking for. They have a great selection of oils and sauces, cooking ingredients and condiments to make your fav dishes at home. They have fresh food as you enter with veggies, tofu, kimchi and a frozen isle where you can get some good stuff for hot pot and frozen meat and veggies. There is also an isle of just snacks and sweets, which I always appreciate. I would recommend doing the bulk of your shopping here and supplementing at other more expensive places if there is anything you can't get, but the selection in Matthew's is hard to beat. I've been shopping here for years and it'll always be my go to for Asian food and drink in Glasgow.

G. T.This is a great shop with an excellent range and helpful staff but can you please makes sure prices on the shelves are what you charge at the till ! Cos it happens a lot, the these prices aren't the same (like today on the udon noodles) and it's exhausting to mention this and get it checked when you just want to get through the till and go, thankyou.
Á. P.Matthews is where I regularly part from my hard earned cash. The best place to stock up on Asian groceries, awesome selection and I always find something new and adventurous. Really like the ladies at the till, too!
