Been here a few times over the years. Good produce. Usual guys are friendly but today some guy wasn't partuclarly friendly. Cleaned the mincer by 4pm so can't be used, dude was short-tempered. Plenty of other butchers around, so...

Artists with their meat. Gentlemen with their customers. They can prepare special cuts for the holidays and will even tell you the best ways to cook them. Great for the everyday too. A fantastic neighborhood establishment.

Possibly the best butcher. High quality meat, real French garlic (not the tasteless kind from supermarket) and fresh farm eggs. They are very friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for? Hey, google gives them an extra star please.

A great butcher shop staffed by a wonderful group of characters. The meat is fresh, of good quality and cooks up oh so well (depending on your skill, if you can burn water, I'm not sure it'll help you!). Always busy, they'll still take the time to make sure that you get the cut that you want, not one that they have lying around as a leftover (although if you want it, they'll sell it to you). Best butcher around and beats the quality of some of the pricier butchers elsewhere.

We have been going here for years. There was a time when butchers would be on every high street, but unfortunately most of them closed down. Fortunately not Barrett's. A fantastic selection of good quality meat. Friendly service and they deliver locally too.

Local shop, lovely and convenient. Good selection and friendly staff, funnily enough I bumped into local runner Stephen whilst in store and thanks for the recommendation to try the homemade sausages, a bit pricey but worth it for the taste

always a great selection of top quality produce and you can really tell the difference between a chicken from Barrets vs supermarket by a long way. Also has haggis and scotch pies in - canna whack it.
