I bought some sausages, diced beef and also mince and I have to say this is much better tasting than my Blackheath local. Superb quality! I shall definitely be making the effort to trapse over the heath in future to shop at Drings instead!

The staff is always friendly and cheerful, and super helpful. Every visit has been a lovely experience ☺️ They‘ll try to get you what you need, and are knowledgeable on cooking techniques too. Feel free to ask for tips and suggestions about preparation. Every week we come to buy a kilo of bones (they do charge, about £2+) for broth, usually on a Saturday when it’s a bit busier. We’ve also tried the oxtail, they were superb quality: large, meaty, flavourful and fresh. Looking forward to trying out other meats, they’ve got a broad selection of cuts of beef, lamb, pork, venison, poultry, and even a rabbit once. Everything looks very fresh. They also have a small selection of sides and sauces, we purchased a tub of their smoked salt flakes which has been great and long-lasting.

We were looking for a proper traditional butchers near us and Drings came up trumps... The location was fine, wasn't hard to find, there's a couple of stations around here, one being Greenwich which uses Southeastern/Thameslink and the other that's slightly further away is Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich (DLR). The place itself was your butchers of yesteryear, what you remember is all here, sadly there aren't many around anymore, at least not around my zone. The person who was working that day was friendly and helped with options and selection which is what you'd expect. If you're looking for ol' school, look no further...

Drings is a lovely butchers with a great selection of quality, well sourced meats. I always come here and especially for something special. Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Royal Hill has a selection of shops that are just about as good as it gets: this is the butchers. The meat here is excellent quality - which to my mind means that it was treated well when it was alive. They have a fantastic selection, including some of the older cuts you don't often find. Not cheap, but then why should it be.

Exceptional quality and exceptional service. We’ve been using Drings regularly for almost 3 months now since moving to Greenwich. Really happy with the quality of their meat, especially the fillet steaks! What prompted me to write this review was my experience today - I happened to mention to Nick that we had bought some Cumberland sausages previously that seemed a bit dry, and he immediately offered to give us some new ones complimentary to give them another go. I lived in New York for many years and it’s been hard generally to find such good service levels back in London - but places like Drings really make the customer experience one to remember!

Discovered Drings from a friend. A friendly local butcher, everything looks really fresh and vibrant. They certainly know their stuff too when asked about certain uncommon produce I was looking for and they actually stocked it. Highly recommended. I will defintely visit again.

Nice alternative to your supermarket options, particularly like the minted lamb. While the selection is good I wouldn’t say the majority are much better than you can find in Waitrose and you do pay a premium.

They have a wide range of products that they produce themselves such as sausages, burgers, and prepared meats; along with complementary items; quail eggs, game, herbs and excellent Spanish Paprika.

Just enjoyed the best ever piece of Turkey. For a family party we ordered 2.5 kilos each of Turkey and a Lamb. Both rolled and boneless making them easier to cook and carve. Both pieces were of the best quality and cooked perfectly Despite that prices still compare to the local supermarket

Some bizarre comments here - their sausages are the best around and I make a special journey to buy them. Watery mince? learn how to cook it ! They are incredibly helpful and will order special cuts or rare breeds if you want - notwithstanding that they always have a great selection in store as well as some pre-prepared items (their lamb Koftas are excellent) if you are in a rush. You wish you had a butchers like this round the corner!
