r. b.Excellent independent butchers and grocer that stocks a good range of cheeses, condiments, spices and other quality items as well as fresh meat and fish. It's very expensive though, so you may find some everyday items in other local shops for considerably less.
M. o. Y.Great family Butcher with amazing deli selection. I like that the sales assistants refer to you as 'madam' :-) I like a lot of their prepared cuts like the salt mash lamb as well as their lovely chickens for roasting. Best smoked salmon in south London, and they carry a lot of condiments from the continent. I prefer to go there during the week to avoid the weekend rush. Highly recommend!
E. L.Wonderful selection of produce and meats. I was planning a roast for myself and some friends, and the butcher very kindly helped me choose a delicious chicken. They are also doing a great job with the COVID measures. I felt really safe and comfortable knowing that they're taking it seriously. Can't recommend this place enough- thank you!

Z. W.I had a herb fed free range turkey from here this Christmas. It was the best tasting turkey we have had. The sausage meat and pigs in blankets were free range and excellent tasting too. It was excellent value for money though not cheap it was worth every penny. The meat from here is always superb. I shop here for something special and am never disappointed. The staff know their products and will advise you if you need help. There is also an excellent choice of select food products. So glad we have this on our doorstep in Herne Hill. Keep it up folks.

If I have a single minor gripe, it is that some common products are not routinely stocked, e.g. duck/lamb/calves liver.
J. M. P.My go to butchers when I want to treat friends and family to a delicious meal. The beef selection is particularly diverse, including delicious aged cuts. Not cheap, but great value for the flavour.
In addition you will find a handpicked selection of great spices, groceries, delicatessen, local bread and local beers.
A must for anyone in the area.
M. B.Top-quality meat — we’ve roasted their beef, pork, lamb and chicken and all have been super tasty. They also stock great bread, Canopy beer from around the corner, and a unique selection of fancy stuff for your larder. Love that we have this butcher in HH!

I did a butchery course here which I'd highly recommend to any foodie wanting to learn how to handle their produce with the respect of deserves. Fun fact is Jay Rayner loves it too!
A. W.Since the UK left the EU it has become harder to source Rabbit, as a lot of Butchers import their Rabbits from France. Thankfully Dugard and D had some native Rabbit in stock for my Tuscan Rabbit tagliatelle dish
