First visit today. I will be back. Sausages were great. People in there are really friendly and helpful. The lady even diced the chicken breast for me. It's more expensive than the supermarket but the quality of the meat is a different level.

Picked up some kebabs and burgers for a lockdown barbecue. Absolutely delicious. Always impressed by their meat. A little more expensive then your supermarket but definitely worth it for taste and flavour.

Without a doubt, one of the best butchers in South East London. This place is all about provenance of the meat, and then the hanging of it (Specifically the beef). Grass fed cows, not grain fed. The selection of bread is fantastic too, proper sourdough. This butchers is not pretentious, I tend to steer clear of the places that look too clinical, this is a proper old fashioned butchers that sells meat from the best animals at a reasonable price. They will give you good advice on cooking too, or specific cuts etc. Support this butcher if you're in the area, its worth it.

I'm a regular at Sparkes. One of my favourite shops in London, quality meat, well sourced, knowledgable and friendly service. I'm a sucker for their rare breed rump steak - though the more unusual value cuts they have (like flat-iron, feather) are well worth trying too.

one of the best meat in london without a doubt. has been long running, and the farms who deliver are good farms who understand how to care for their animals. they hold a licence to sell organic food and do so and every item i have ever bought from them has always been great. thought it might be worth a mention :)

GG Sparkes is a family run business, 4 generations to date. Guy the owner cares passionately about his work, UK Farmers, good Husbandry & Provenance. He helped to pioneer & was integral to sourcing & supplying Organic Meat here in the Uk, but now concentrates on Rare breeds & Free-range produce, & if Traditional meats which are needed in this current climate then again carefully sourced. Only recently, in the last 8 months or so have GG Sparkes had access to email, social media sites, & still working on a Website (when time)! so they must have been doing something right to have survived this long without 'needed social media/communication methods' Guy still thinks Carrier Pigeon is fine! Guys famous saying it 'You pay for what's not in it' which is hard to find these days! Delicious produce, Hung Meat, Great variety The Master Butcher for sure.
