L. A.A lovely independent butcher with a fabulous array of meat. This has become my butcher of choice since moving to Highbury. The lady I see in there at the weekends is so kind and helpful, and always full of great ideas for recipes. The Stokes sauces are also not to be missed, over the festive period we were particularly enjoying the Cranberry & Orange sauce with Ruby Port. Overall a wonderful place!
R. F.Rather indifferent service on the afternoon of 13 March, but the selection of meat is very good and the quality is excellent. I'd suggest the bacon is better at Meat NW5 & Highgate Butchers, but the pork shoulder really was very good.
N. B.2nd time that I've bought sausages from Godfreys and have to say that they are the best I've ever had. So much more meaty than anything you can buy from the supermarket. Don't think I can get them from anywhere else anymore. Also very good and efficient service!
M. C.Ordered a Christmas ham for delivery 18/12 but notified of delay to 20/12 by courier. Emailed Godfreys for advice; phone call within 30 mins from Siobhan advising do not consume the ham, replacement being sent Monday for g'teed Tuesday 23/12 delivery. Fantastic service! Extremely impressed.

Put order in via their website which was easy to use, and arranged for a nationwide delivery. Delivery came on time, and the meat was boxed up so well, we have kept the box!! a. w.This is a good butchers. But I have a complaint about scoring pork joints. No matter how nicely we ask the belly and loin moints are scored in wide stripes one centimeter apart and maybe more. To get good crackling the scoring should be fine, about 1/3 to 1/3 centimeter. I am actually writing this review in the hopes they will change their practices.
