Staff are pleasant, welcoming, polite and helpful.
I cannot understand why some reviews found the staff to be rude. I suspect this is probably a misunderstanding. Maybe the complainers visited at a very busy time and staff were brusque or didn't stop immediately mid slice and fawn appropriately.
I don't like to be treated like I am a returning best friend. I appreciate good manners and am also prepared to wait until a member of staff becomes available.
I was greeted upon entering with a pleasant hello from several staff members even though some were busy with butchery. Within about 30 seconds one staff member asked if he could help.
Truly a quality butcher's.
Not a supermarket where you expect to pickup your plastic meat package within 10 seconds of entering.
I asked for ox kidney the previous day and they ordered it in and it was ready the next day.
More expensive than cling film wrapped supermarket fodder? Yes.
But there is no comparison with quality.
Butchery done in front of your eyes and to your specifications.
Do they charge similar prices to other quality butcher's ? Yes.
What would you expect.
Lovely, well presented selection of wines with helpful labelling.
Lots of organic items.
Cheeses, cooked and smoked meats. Nibbley things to tempt the eye and the taste buds.
Only my second visit. But, I shall definitely be coming back.
There is no substitute for quality of product and presentation.
Not open on a Monday. A Tradition of truly fresh vendors.
I rarely give 5 stars in my reviews as I try and reserve them for what I consider is "beyond the normal standard".
J. P.More than just a purveyor of fine quality meats! They also have a great selection of cheeses, charcuterie, and wine. They’ve gone up one more notch in my books with their recent addition of gluten free crackers! So happy to have this special spot in our neighbourhood.
A. M.Great butchers, all fresh, great produce. Lovely people, Jessica at the deli and wine, Michael at the butchers and lots of others. Will always help with different cuts, great and varied joints. And of course bacon burgers and sausage so so so much better than super markets.
V. G.We love this butchers. The meat is great and they also have cute little things to go with it. One of my favourite things is that they have semi-ready meals like skewers, chicken schnitzel and burgers that I can just put on the pan. They’ve always been seasoned to perfection.

D. S.NW5 Decent meat albeit over priced. Unfortunately the female manager rude and arrogant. Will go back to Godfrey's in Highbury in future
