I cannot rate this place highly enough. I turned up on a Sunday morning looking for undressed checken wings and wihtin 15 minutes I had enough to feed my whole office - even though they don't actually sell plain,. undressed wings. They were even trimmed so i didn't have to do it myself! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help me. The selection in the frideges was extensive and the prices were much better than your local supermarket or butcher could offier. I will definatiely be shopping here for all of my meat in future. Very impressed indeed.

Went in this store with interpretation and pleased I did so. Plenty of choice of meat items not so commonly found in supermarkets nowadays. Deals a plenty and keen prices. I left with a full trolley. There are so many options to choose from... love the variety of freshly seasoned ready prepared meals, meats & sides... love the fact you can mix & match in small, medium & large packs, so whether you are shopping for 1 or a family of 4 or more, it's all there... fresh fruit & veg, cheese, cooked meats, eggs frozen veg & even a frozen section of anything that could take your fancy... There is one negative... it is blooming FREEZING in there 😁 so wrap up 😘

Brilliant place, great value nice lean cuts of meat. Good choice of marinades too. Just be mindful some products have already been frozen such as coated shredded chicken or chicken balls. These can't be refrozen so check the labels, check the dates and don't buy too much that you can't eat in time.

Very good but they advertise that if you spend £50 you get a fiver off.. spent £59 & was then told it doesn't count if you buy 2 or more 5KG chicken. You are only saving £1.96 on 2 packs of Chicken. Always did it in the past, no need to hide it in small print but the meat is good none the less.

Meat quality good,downside is the use by dates are not very long. Was not to happy with the supposed £5 off when you spend over £50. Huge sign outside displays the offer till your told at the till Chicken dont count as it’s already reduced. That’s the reason people buy because of the prices. “False advertising “It’s not mentioned on their large outside banner. Maybe the need to put this on their banner so as customers know this before they reach the till having already spent over the £50. ....?

The Meat Mart have taken over this business in the latter end of 2018 and it shows. The meat is superb quality with an excellent stock of fresh sundries to accompany. They have excellent deals on every week and is a must go place to go for bbq supplies.

Regular shopper at this market and its a great place to buy fresh meat and especially a big range of chicken dishes. There's also a large range of ready meals and freshly prepared susages. There is a small selection of frozen food - that has all the basics - and even has a small range of biscuits. The staff are helpful and friendly and there are real bargains to be had, especially if you buy larger quantities of the products on display. The market is on the small side and doesn't have a loo, but there's a large free car park and it's only 2 minutes away from A580 East Lancashire Road (Astley/Tyldesley exit).
