M. R.Deelish steak pies, immense pastry, chunkiest biggest hunks of steak I’ve had in a pie in ages - & I eat a lot of pies, often. So I’m a pie connoisseur, these pies are very highly rated. Their pease pudding looks great too, think I’m getting that with some ham next time I go!

C. L.Got a mince plate pie for NYE, it was expensive at £5.40, but it was absolutely delicious. They do steak, chicken, mince and corned beef, I think the price can be justified for the other 3, but corned beef should be a cheaper, hence only 4 stars.

G.Just had the best two pork chops I’ve tasted for a longtime the at butcher really showed great customer service as he recut them after I asked for the rind to be left on fantastic flavour and fantastic quality the local service was far- better than any supermarket choice.. well done Whickham Butchers I will definitely call in again
