The butcher was really helpful explaining the different meats they had for a barbecue. The meat quality is always good from here. And this time, they forgot to put one of the meats in my shopping bag but then duly tracked us down into the shop across the road to hand it to us so we weren't without it! I thought that was great service.

Fabulous butchers. My regular butcher closed down so had to find somewhere new. Excellent service, choice of meat and other goods, pies, scotch eggs etc all look very tempting!

Top quality meat here. Probably a bit more expensive than supermarket but you get what you pay for. Pies and Cornish pasties lovely. I go every few weeks to stock up and have always found the staff friendly

A carnivore s dream of a shop.Well stocked eye catching displays. All the meat looked fantastic. Bought some chicken breast fillets and pork spare rib chops-both delicious. Good value for money and polite friendly staff. I'll be back!

I can understand the comments that mention grumpy service but I think it is more a sense of frustration when they struggled to provide the quality of service that they pride themselves on during coronavirus. A tad unprofessional, maybe, but nobody needs to take it personally. It's a business. See it as testimony to their passion for fantastic produce.

Once again I feel it appropriate to commend this branch of Coates the butchers. Every time we visit, not only are we greeted cheerfully by all the staff, in particular Andy and Tanya, we are offered a hot drink and there are chairs and table outside, if we wish to sit down in between shopping stops on the Bramcote Lane. I have never come across such helpful and amazing service. I used to think John Lewis was good but this is excellent. There is a genuine community spirit and your staff obviously work really well together as a highly organised team. You come away from the shop far more cheerful than when you went in, that is for sure. I just hope this email is read by the people who own this shop - Commendable organisation with wonderful, high quality food. There is a huge choice of top of the range meat, preserves, cakes etc.
