It's taken me 15 years of Nottingham living to find a proper butcher , having been spoiled by previous butcher in Scotland ✅ UPDATE: return visit guaranteed, your guys didn't blink when asked for lamb kidney with fat attached. Other establishments react as if you'd asked for class A drugs..👏

The deli is great with loads of of meats , cheeses gone made quiche and the the steak pie is to delicious the best I’ve ever tasted. Love the bread too. I’m so glad I tried this place during lockdown go every week now , and tell all my friends they go now too and love it.

A great shop...you can get so many fresh things there...and for English standards at really fair prices...my girlfriend lives around the corner and I'm glad she showed me this farm shop when I was there for the first time on holiday - from now on I always go there when I'm with my girlfriend... really fresh and very tasty...

Fresh produce is outstanding. Excellent quality and not over priced, just because its a farm shop. Well worth a visit, we bought a variety of cheese, the assistant (Dawn) was really helpful and very knowledgeable, made a nice change to talk to a person that actually knew the products she was selling.

Lovely food and a much bigger shop than I was expecting. The variety of sausages were very welcome and very tasty. Ill also be returning to explore the cheese counter. Staff were very helpful on each counter on how to cook the food, best accompaniments etc. Another surprise was the bakery. The rolls I bought were very tasty. I shall definitely be returning to get more. There were some local products such as Arnold honey that will make good Christmas presents.

Seems very popular. Fortunately good parking space. Shop sells typical farm shop wares but the bakery was a disappointing area. No sourdough breads, an increasingly popular aspect of any modern bakery. The butchery section was impressive and their pies have a sound reputation. The shop was clean and goods displayed well. Produce is very very good ...my issues are with the staff...so miserable and un friendly ...it feels like you are putting them out ...good be they had a bad day but I have noticed it before ...I wanted some ham sliced thinner and she wouldn't do it for me until she saw some ham ready to be sliced at the back of her and then it felt like it was to much trouble...slammed the ham down on the counter and then spoke to us in a manner you would tell your child off for ...not impressed ...

Not the largest range, but all good quality. Bakery has some tasty cakes, fab pies (meat and veggy) that are way better than the best supermarket ones, great quality meat that actually roasts rather than supermarket waterlogged meat that just steams, and a small range of other tasty items including cooked meats, cheeses and veg. Dont expect to do a full shop here, but for what they have, its all good quality and good value.

Updated this after a few years, unfortunately id have to say despite the new buildings etc there seems to be an atmosphere in the place. Particularly the butchers counter. The 3 older male butchers have a really sh*tty attitude, give off the impression that they shouldn't have to assist on the counter, verbally abrupt or impolite and very reluctant to assist when help is needed on the counter. - I've experienced this, when i've ended up waiting a good 10 mins to be served by the young lad who is on the counter on his own with 3 butchers behind him and able to see the queue but do nothing. Then as soon as ive got to serving, one of the butchers jumped into help the person behind who he knew. Really lost respect for that and i specifically used to go to spring lane to support them as local business, but i have started going to an alternative local butcher which is closer. Noticed since the expansion more products are being stocked, however i don't understand why these are not local products and seem to be hoarded in from else where. It comes across that the older staff seem to have an issue being there, younger members do their job effectively and politely. Ive noticed this decline in standard over time and im surprised its been allowed to get to this point (and its obvious from the reviews on here too). A few mystery customers should be done to identify the staff doing this .

Good selection of pies and cold meat. I can recommend the mustard scotch eggs. Meat looked good but I didn't personally try anything. Thought the vegetables on show were a little predictable and looked a little too scrubbed and uniforms, but that's just a personal thing. Freezers were well stocked with what looked like home produced goods. Overall well worth a visit as prices are competitive.
