Reviews of The Wellington Farm Shop

Large and upmarket farm shop just off A33 on Berkshire / Hampshire border. Good sized gravel car park with no drainage problems. Shop is huge with a large selection of food goods. Large cafe serving a limited of cooked and bakery products. Try not to get a seat near to the patio in winter months as it's cold when it's open. Although our drinks arrived early, we waited a long time for our food. Centre doesn't take cash and nearly all of staff wearing masks as were customers so it was pretty Covid safe. Probably the best farm shop in southern mid Berkshire.

Visited for brunch on a Saturday morning - we were a largish group, and yet, the food came out quickly (despite the cafe being quite busy). The food was really delicious and pretty decently sized portions. The coffee was also quite nice.
The wait staff were very friendly and helpful, and for families, there are loads of high chairs available.
The actual farm shop is spectacular- I could have easily spent loads of money there. Lots of fresh produce available and higher end non-perishables.

Well stocked shop and butchery. Visited the shop after going to the cafe. 4 star eggs benedict (tasteless hollandaise) but a lovely setting and ambience. I will definitely be going back!

Service great even though I had trouble booking afternoon tea on line and commenting on their site, they phoned me and changed my booking from lunch back to afternoon tea. The food was lovely sandwiches had plenty of filling, scones and cakes lovely too. Very relaxed atmosphere, nothing too much trouble. I will be going back again and recommending it to other people. My friend also enjoyed it.

This place has had a full refurbishment recently. Really nice food but very overpriced. For example a large breakfast is nearly £20. For a cafe that's ridiculous. We sat outside but cut our visit short due to a wasp problem. I think they have tried to solve this with various traps for them but they are literally hundreds of them buzzing around being a pest to guests. Shame because its a really nice setting but overpriced and I would sit indoors to hide from the wasps.

Great Chai latte- delicious breakfast at a reasonable price - love the view great services let me know if you agree

A very well managed outlet that offers a variety of product from other suppliers and producers that are not strictly ‘Farm’ product.
The terraced coffee shop and restaurant are very welcoming and provide efficient service and good selection of items from the menu.
There’s an ample free parking at the site and a wide selection of bedding plants on display. The prices are a bit steeper than what you would pay at a garden centre in Town.

Lovely hot coffee served individually at our table. Cheese and onion marmalade focaccia sandwich delicious. Nice seating outside with views over farmland. Very attentive and welcoming staff. Farm shop a little pricey, but vegetables very good quality, bought a cabbage, by weight! Will be back again to bring a friend. Thanks.

Cake and coffee were really nice. Outside seating was good with a great play park to keep the kids occupied, service was ok.

Love this place for a great breakfast or lunch, food is always quality and a good choice. Farm shop always packed with superb selection of fresh food and wonderful gifts. Highly recommended if your passing or live nearby.

Great food and peaceful seating area indoors and outdoors.Very kind staff and quick service .

Very aesthetically pleasing grocery shop with artisan looking products. Didn't have enough time to check stuff out properly but will probably be back at some point when I'm gift shopping. It's not too far from Reading down the A33 and it's tucked away rather cheekily off a side road.

Always have a great breakfast here on the weekend. And now the family tradition to
Great choice
Easy to book
Great food and service. So much better since the refurb

We stopped off on our bike ride today and had a great coffee! The food and cakes also looked great, so we’ll be back to try some.
They seem to have things well organised at the moment as a member of staff properly wipes down the tables in between customers and there are hand sanitizers at the entrance/exit and till points.
A fair amount of outdoor seating is available, with nice views of the adjacent fields. Lots of parking. Just a shame there’s no bike storage, especially as it seems like a popular spot for other cyclists.
Edit: Visited again yesterday and they've added bike storage!

Lovely environment and lovely wholesome food. Efficient service reasonable prices, car parking is easy, nice products. Highly recommended.
J. B.
Amazing food, tranquil setting, great for children. Play area is pretty good too.
K. D.
We should have booked online but the friendly staff found us a table for coffee.
Extensive makeover is very impressive and I am sure that this popular venue will become even more popular.
Look forward to post lockdown visit to test their full menu
K. S.
Lovely place for a weekend brunch - but book ahead to avoid disappointment. The farm shop is great too.
P. A.
Top quality ingredients used for breakfast, cooked beautifully and good fresh coffee. All served by friendly staff in a semi rustic environment. On a nice day you can sit outside, where there are animals for the kids (even big ones like me) to look at and pet if they come close enough.
Also the shop sells top quality produce, the meat looks amazing!
R. B.
Nice setting and good food albeit a bit pricey. Fabulous climbing and playhouses for the smaller children.
M. W.
A return visit since they extended and lost the atmosphere in the cafe/ restaurant. Better this particular week as Christmas decorations up. Breakfast is good but expensive especially the large one at over £18. Photo is the standard.
K. ,.
Expensive but worth a try out...felt my breakfast was lacking wouldn't have the fried version again but the pancakes looked delicious
E. C.
Very relaxing to eat outside on the patio with table service. Recommend the cafetiere of coffee and pastries.
D. P.
Went for brunch today. Food was amazing although a little long to arrive but you know its fresh!
The lady that served me was super helpful and gave me the names of the yaks for us to go and see afterwards. She made it the cherry on top.
B. K.
Our first visit. Enjoyed All day breakfast and hot chocolate with marshmallows . Looked around shop which is quite different to others. Will definitely be going back.
R. C.
Lovely little farm shop with a great cafe. Generous portions - my cake slice was reduced in price due to being the 'last little bit' but still great! The lunch items all looked lovely and packed to bursting. The shop was well laid out with a good mix of fresh and dry / canned goods. Saw a few local brands. Well worth stopping with family or for a quick workday pick me up.
S. C.
I had the full English breakfast with a coffee. Service was polite and quick, the food was high quality, and the black pudding was excellent.
The farm shop even had Rum Butter and Brandy Butter which made perfect Christmas presents for my sister.
P. E.
We went for lunch. The lunch was very nice.
It seemed understaffed. 3 waiting staff for 30+ tables.. They were trying their best and kept smiling, but it meant waiting a while. It also meant we were left with empty plates on the table etc.. it also meant people waited a while to be seated. Which meant the door was kept open. This created a cold draft.
I also found it odd that I was directed to the shop next door for an ice cream for the boys.
The food is good. The place is much nicer since it has been renovated. The shop is also good.
L. B. G.
Lovely shop. Wonderful breakfast in a beautiful setting. One of the beacons for the Platinum Jubilee is on site as well.
A.
Visited for coffee and cake. Coffee was a good strong flavour. I had the caramel shortbread and my partner had carrot cake. The carrot cake was fantastic and nice and moist, the caramel shortbread was also very nice. Loads of seating outside. Play area and animals in pens. Phone signal on my network is limited but WiFi is provided, seemed very hit and miss whether it works or not.
T. P.
Quality food, if a little.pricey.
Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, shaded or sunny.
M. C.
A hidden gem! The newly refurbished cafe here is absolutely superb, with a delicious menu serving good healthy portions of top notch food. Also has a nice & safe kids play area next to the outdoor seating
M. S.
Looks like the place has been extensively refurbished during lockdown... looks like they're still working on bits right now but it's already an improvement. We only visited for afternoon tea but I can confirm the cake was great 👍
E. W.
If you're looking for somewhere for coffee/cake/brunch/lunch/meet up then Wellington farm shop cafe is a place to go! They defo took advantage of lockdown; the whole thing has changed and the cafe is *awesome* now. Fab menu (anywhere that does all day breakie is a winner in my book), loads of space inside and out, comfy seats, staff all seem new and they're super lovely (albeit busy!). And aside from the menu they have a table of fresh homemade cakes that look very tempting! Highly recommended!!!!
d.
Great food , friendly staff always happy to help. Due to the good experience thus can be a busy place - if it is busy it is worth the wait.

Lovely food well presented and tasty friendly welcoming staff

Spacious restaurant with large covered terrace. Cooked food majors on breakfast items (all day) and burgers, with salads and soups. Cakes are from a display table. I thought they were quite nice, but not exceptional. Our group of four thought the quality of food was good and the service was prompt, exceptionally pleasant and efficient. Only tables indoors can be reserved and the place was very busy for Sunday lunch, so I think booking would be advisable.
T. S.
Good quality food and service. You need to book a table if at the weekend.
L. G.
Good location off the A33 outside Reading. Lots of great veg and good butchers selection. An enormous cafe area both indoors and outdoors which gets very busy with brunchers. Food looked great. On my list for when I pass again feeling hungry😊
A. D. A.
Wow, great breakfast and service. Nice beautiful location, plenty of outdoor seating. I have been once and now I will be your regular customer.
Staff - friendly, dress smart, clean and always available.
Food - So far from what I had, I am impressed. Very good.
Place - Beatufifull peaceful location, clean and plenty of parking. Well maintained.
Highly recommended for families with kids as well.
Keep up the good work.

Front of House member of staff was seriously stressed and unable to manage the non reservation queue efficiently. We stood waiting for 10-15 minutes, tables were freeing up as we waited and we counted 10 members of staff on the floor able to clear tables etc. A couple walked out in front of us gave up and left due to the wait. The food and coffee were good and waitress pleasant. I understand the pressure hospitality is under due to the restrictions but this needs better management and some attention.
L. B.
We stopped here for lunch while cycling and the service was incredibly slow, though very friendly. The food very average (and expensive). Milkshake was ridiculously sweet, the cakes looked nice though. Lovely view though.
A. S.
Sad to see the changes. The restaurant is just a big barn with hard floors which makes it so loud when most of the tables are occupied that one can hardly hear one’s companions. The shop seems smaller and with less choice than before too. It seems they’ve gone for the ‘eat out for lunch’ crowd just as the Newlyns farm shop did a few years ago, also to its detriment.
Update June 22...
Food ok, service very slow and to pay within 40 mins of finishing eating you need to go in to the counter to pay. It'll take ages for anyone to come over if you're sat outside.
J.
Expensive but worth a visit excellent lunch and coffee place good staff and diverse selection of goods in its shop

Good quality food and service. You need to book a table if at the weekend.

We visit the farm shop regularly, we wish there were more fruit and vegetables like there used to be but apart from that, it's brilliant. Good quality produce and not overly expensive. The Wellington burgers are amazing!! We visited late afternoon yesterday in need of some lamb cutlets for a new recipe we wanted to try. It required the cutlets to be butterflied and tenderised, despite this being tricky and very time consuming the 3 butchers working did this for us although very sceptical it would work. It did!! The stuffing we used stayed in place and the cutlets didn't break up. The dish was a success. Thank you to all 3 of you. This is why we always return, excellent friendly service and advice on every visit.
S. M.
Lovely place for a catch up with friends with great food and drink
M. W.
We had a wonderful breakfast, fast efficient service and in a lovley setting.
I will definitely be returning !!
A. E.
Delicious breakfast - perfect poached eggs. Friendly staff, even when they are super busy.
K. R.
The cafe provides simple but tasty meals. The burger was top notch. Warm and knowledgeable service in a relaxed setting especially if the weather allows to sit outside.
G. K.
Whilst the cafe appears greatly improved with plenty of seating (especially outside), the farm shop itself appears to have lost its authenticity. As a regular visitor to farm shops it seems most of the stock has been “shipped in” and not local produce as advertised (apart from the butchers). It’s a shame because the food in the cafe, whilst a limited menu, was of good quality and very tasty. Will definitely visit the cafe again (good service too) but I will skip the overpriced, seen-it-all-before farm shop!
A. C.
We called in at the farm shop today when out on a cycle ride. Made use of the new cycle racks, perfectly placed by the outside seating for the cafe. My husband had a delicious sausage sandwich and I had a fruit scone with jam and cream. They have just put a roof over part of the patio area so it's still a good place to eat if it's raining.
We will definitely be back again soon.
P. Y.
Visited the farm shop for the first time this weekend whilst we were camping at Wellington Park.
I was really impressed with the quality of the food at the butchers and great customer service. Very helpful staff.
Highly recommend the Wagu Tbone steaks!
C. G.
Lovely food well presented and tasty friendly welcoming staff

Great farm shop with cafe, playground for little ones, and of course some friendly animals.
R. V.
Great breakfast with an amazing view.
S. G.
This place has recently undergone a huge investment and transformation. The result is an expanded shop with even more local treats and a cafe which is awesome both inside and outside. Still a lovely play area for children and the food is still top notch 😋
A. F.
We love it here. The building is in two halves; the opening section is dedicated to a large and we'll stocked farm shop with a wide range of local produce and items made on site. The butchers is well stocked with a range of good items. The second part is a farm cafe which makes amazing coffee and fantastic food. The costs are high, but you get what you pay for - high quality and unique products. Thoroughly recommend.
M. D.
outstanding food and service with great produce in the shop
B. P.
Lovely farm shop and cafe, with a decent sized car park. The food was great but the service was very slow. We'd go again, but definitely not if we were in a hurry!
N. C.
Had a very nice time with the granddaughter in play park and seeing all the animals also a wonderful choice foos to purchase
S. P.
Popped in for breakfast, lovely food, well presented, and timely service even though they were busy. Farm shop is stocked with all manner of interesting foods.
R. w.
Such a pleasant surprise to go back and see it totally transformed during the lock down into a superb (much bigger) venue.....you can see it's been renovated with care and a quality fit out.....limited but good fresh menu....and the farm shop produce is always fresh quality.
Try to book as we found weekends can very busy.....liking the strict covid rules too - staff were very good keeping everything safe and clean during our visit and very welcoming too......would recommend for a leisurely brunch.
L.
I visit the farm shop with a friend quite often. I have to confess that the fact that quite a few items are not priced is irritating. I am not embarrassed to ask but I am just annoyed that I have to in the first place. When a reduced handwritten ticket says "20% off" yet it doesn't actually say what the actual marked price is, is crazy, and lazy. Please sort your shop pricing out.
J. E.
Disappointing as not a great selection on both meat and cheese counters. Items not priced and pricing list on bread misleading as said sourdough bread £2 but was charged £3.50 when queried price told sliced on top shelf is £2. I asked why items not priced was told only just got shelf labels in. Also only 1 disabled bay which isn't marked out so difficult if you use a wheelchair and someone parks too close.
Shop does look nice though.
N.
Super staff and a great full English breakfast
M. M.
Nice place, good food. Be warned, rocket I bought was mostly bad, same day as purchase, see photo
J. O.
It was phenomenally busy on a Saturday lunchtime and remained so. It took a long time to order and pay but that was more down to dithering customers than staff.
Drinks came quickly. A milkshake was poor. The food was good but leek and potato soup, which inexplicably included spinach, was flavourless - and brought after the main.
Good value overall.
J. S.
Took my parents for lunch there not realising how busy it would be, so no idea what the food is like as we couldn't eat there.
D. B.
This is by far the best coffee shop ...staff are exceptionally friendly, polite and very smart! The food and coffee is superb. they have a lovely little play park and pigs, goats and chickens to see. I have been taking my mum and grandaughter for a long time now..she's nearly 4 and loves sitting on the sofa, shoes off cuddling into the cushions with a toasted tea cake and a view of the chickens outside. They have an amazing stock of food, vegetables and gifts in the shop, a fab butchers and cheese counter. well worth a visit!
G. H.
Fabulous cafe since it was extended. Lovely food and great service. The deli and butcher in the shop are also excellent.
P.
Star rating is based on cafe. The staff were pleasant but service was slow. I guess Sunday lunch time was not the best for a quick coffee.
B. C.
A nice feel show with coffee area. I would say the prices are a bit on the high side.
I bought some meat form here and it was very good, the veg was no so good... I had more bad carrots than gold and the peppers were very soft.
Overall though I was impressed with the mean and home mans savoury’s.
E. R.
This is a lovely place to pass the time food is great .staff are very friendly .shop is a bit expensive
R. K.
Breakfasts are some of the best around. Service was very good. Busy, so book beforehand and get there early. Not cheap, but good value with big, quality portions. Highly recommend!
S. P.
It's okay, not that big a selection of deli items, fairly standard brands as found in other farms shops and alike.
The meat selection and fresh pastry/pie like items are nothing special.
No real fresh bread or pastries/cakes. What cakes they do have a summer fete style and as such not artisan even if they are home made.
I wish the butchers offered aged steak, as im sure people would lap it up, most of us know it tastes way better.
T. Z.
Very small shop with limited choice of vegetables. Main reason to visit this place is the butcher, buy free range chicken eggs and cafe, which is double of the size of the shop. Everything else is the canned food that you can find elsewhere. Nice place to have a coffee or tea and something to eat, but it's not "The farm shop".
G. S.
Great options for shopping and food. Great quality products and the cafe really is lovely. Would like to see a menu change at some point as it can be a bit old after a few visits but what is on offer works really well.
C. B.
Nice selecction of food and other items.. Restaurant looked nice but had only just had breakfast
T. D.
I only had coffee and toast..but the coffee was fab and the toast was very tasty..lush bread used..
R. A.
Good farm shop with quality products
A. L.
Always love to visit this place but sometimes even when not busy, service is slow and staff not applying due diligence.. so management need to be aware that standards are slipping!
T. G.
Smallish shop. Cafe well laid out. Inside and outside seating. Dogs welcome. Fair sized menu.

Lovely outdoor seating area. Reduced menu (went on 22Apr 2021) due to current gov guidelines. However, Lovely food and friendly staff.

Great place for breakfast with the family
There is a small fort/play area which our kids of 5 and 3 loved. They spent over an hour playing. The outdoor tables mean you can watch the while you drink your tea/coffee.
The food is good. The kids loved theirs. Food for adults fine and similar price to other farm cafes in the area.
There are some animals you can go and see (pigs, chickens, sheep and cows) for those who have farmyard obsessed little ones, you might need something more
There can be a bit of a wait to get served. There was only one person on the till when we were there so the queue time was probably 5-10mins. Food came out fairly promptly though

Great little spot. Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. We were very impressed with the breakfast on offer and would definitely recommend visiting. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Always busy and great breakfast lunch menu. Play area outside for younger children. Like the farm shop too
J. W.
Bit pricey but good quality
N. R.
Lovely place to go for a Sunday brunch with friend or family or as a couple! Always buzzing and child friendly. They even have farm animals in the courtyard. Not to mention the amazing local farm produce! Its beautiful. They also have a small selection of flowers.
I. T.
Lovely place.
Ordering system is a shambles......
Waited 20 mins to place an order.
Old system worked more efficiently.
Gadgets have their place but not for ordering
P. M.
Nice farm shop..fantastic looking butchery..but long waits at both tills. So not a very organised place..though it was a Sunday and it was busy...but when you've cycled 16+ miles and your covered in mud you don't really want to wait to long for a hot drink and a slice of cake.
l. B.
Such a lovely place to visit and have food. Amazing menu. Fresh homemade food. Ranging from cold to hot choices, teas, coffees and cakes. Was very busy just for a Friday lunchtime. But service was good and atmosphere was lovely. Definitely going back.
C. F.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch today, the fresh, home made sandwiches were delicious! Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.

I ordered a turkey crown for the first time from the Wellington Farm Shop, as we had planned to have Christmas with some of our family in our new home as we recently moved. I normally get the bird from Waitrose or M&S but wanted to have an extra special Christmas this year. Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 restrictions and like so many other people, our plans have completely changed.
I called Wellington Farm shop on 23rd December to see if the crown could be cut into two. I spoke to a lovely man called George who happily told me that this wouldn't be a problem and that it was no trouble.
I collected the turkey crown yesterday and was greeted by George in person, who had done an amazing job of cutting the crown into two parts. I am sure this isn't too difficult with the correct tools and skills, however it was the fact that it was no trouble at all and the customer service I received. One piece is ready to be cooked today, and the other is in the freezer which we hope to share with our family when we come out of lockdown.
Thank you very much George and the team at the Wellington Farm Shop. We haven't tried the turkey yet, but I am sure it will taste amazing. Keep doing what you do, and George, I hope you are recognised for your excellent work, and exemplary customer service! Happy Christmas!
K. T.
Great breakfast and good hot coffee
S. W.
There is no doubt that they sell good quality provisions but they are pricey. The cafe is the most successful part based on people in the cafe and cars in the car park compared to the shop. Some items are poorly labelled or not labelled regarding prices and it can feel crowded round the cheese counter.
M. G.
This is an excellent farm shop.
Great fresh produce.
Brilliant butchery counter.
Cheeses of all types.
Some wine selection from Berry Brothers.
A brilliant cafe. Breakfast is great. Lunch is also pretty good.
A fee chickens and Highland bulls out back with a small play area. Worth a visit.
A. P.
Really nice farm shop and cafe with good food. Very busy so you can reserve if needed. Excellent coffee and the carrot and coriander soup was very tasty. Easy to find and convenient for Basingstoke and Reading.
A. C.
Excellent Farm Shop for natural products and flowers. We had coffee and lunch to take away too! Very nice and Staff are all very welcoming
E. K.
The whole place just got refurbished. Car park is better, cafe space is larger, outside sitting area is better and has more tables. Scones here are great.
M. P.
Super place for morning coffee. Lovely veranda to shade the sun or the rain for that matter. Good coffee and really nice staff. All good. Thanks.
S. F.
Excellent, helpful staff. Wide range of interesting produce. Some of the best steak ever.
T. H.
Good farm shop and a nice restaurant.
M. A.
Top class food, service, presentation and surroundings. Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. The menu was imaginative, well presented and delicious. Children were welcome and were very well provided for. We'll definitely be visiting again very soon!
C. S.
Lovely food. A smashing butcher and cheese counter. High quality food and friendly staff. Coffee shop looks good. Very busy
D. J. W.
Very nice food in the cafe, well presented, tasty. Food in the shop a little more pricey than a supermarket but good quality and a good selection.
Worth a visit, pleasant spot for lunch.
R. E. N.
Wonderful options in this store. Plenty of meat to select from, even many gluten free options, as well as bones for your dog. A great selection of breads, cheeses, gins and wine etc. And if you need a gift for yourself or loved one, then you have an eclectic choice that you wouldn't ordinarily think of to choose from. Very friendly staff and plenty of parking.
L. D.
Especially love their cheese selection, cakes, chocolate brownies, sausages and burgers. And when the cafe is open the lunches are excellent.
R. B.
A shop and a cafe. The shop has a reasonable range of good quality products. The meat and cheese counters look particularly good. The cafe does breakfasts, snacks, coffees etc. It's quite large but can still get pretty busy.
M. B.
Everything from that shop is of outstanding quality. Meat, poultry, deli, vegetables: all of those are amazing. Staff are very helpful too.
And the cafe is great: the atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is always very tasty and fresh. Coffee is very well made there too.
L. O.
Lovely airy Building. Service ws good. We had a Breakfast and drink. Tasting really fresh. Unfortunately my friend got stung by a wasp in the eating area. They did not seem to know what to do. Otherwise was a good experience
P. J.
Very nice cafe with lots of choice. Just had cake and coffee but very enjoyable. Good seating areas inside and out. Nice area for young children to play. Clean and stylish toilets with baby changing facilities.
T. J.
Very good indeed. Wonderful staff, good food, great farm shop
H. H.
The Welllington Farm Shop is really nice and welcoming. However, one small thing, when I ask for an extra hot drink I expect to get a hot drink not a tepid one.
P. H.
Great food and very good service even tho they were very busy. Also Great views from the terrace.
D. R. R.
Great variety of local products (fruits, vegetables, eggs, fresh and cured meats, sweets and cakes...), all fresh and of quality. It has a very cozy cafeteria ideal to enjoy a cup of tea and a delicious piece of cake or have a light lunch. A charming place where you can rediscover the life on the farm!
S. B.
Our third visit. Usually been in for coffees, today was for lunch. PLace was very popular with families on a wet Sunday so packed and noisy with kids (mostly adorable :-) ) My wife went for one of the vegetarian options (a Mushroom and Kale stroganoff) whilst I went for the opposite - Pork and Apple sausages with blackpudding mash (black pudding mash mind!).
Both were very good (my wife raved about the stroganoff). She's not actually vegetarian but when food's this good what's the difference? It was not what I'd call a stroganoff (not a drop of paprika in evidence), but more a mushroom and kale supreme with wild rice, but it was undoubtedly tasty with a good volume and mix of mushrooms and shallots in a creamy sauce.
Mine was three good sized decent sausages (one a bit on the well-done side, but still good). The mash was actually quite heavy on the black-pudding but no worse for that. It had just about enough of a pretty good gravy and a few raw red onion rings about for colour. Enjoyable though definitely quite a heavy option.
Two capuccinos were average (not terrible). There are a number of much younger staff serving (we dealt with three) and all were doing a cracking job - pleasant, personable and efficient - a credit to themselves and the place. There was a mix-up on our order at the till which fortunately we spotted - it was corrected and dealt with well. We had a reasonably long wait for our food, but one of them came to apologise and say it would be another 5 minutes (it was less), but the place was very busy and this is not heat it up style food so no complaints on that score.
T. G.
Smallish shop. Cafe well laid out. Inside and outside seating. Dogs welcome. Fair sized menu.

Great food in the cafe. Quiet during the week but imagine it can be busy at weekends. Took our 6 month old and he was fine there too. Farm shop does some nice meat too.
P. W.
Great for breakfasts (can get very busy at weekends). The shop has great quality fresh meat, veg, cheese, deli etc. Its pricy but if you are looking for locally sourced, organic etc, you have to pay.
J. J.
Tremendous selection of quality products. The Scottish black pudding was delicious.
O. Y.
My friend recently started here and i’ve been coming here since and just wow. As soon as i stepped in, it was breathtaking. The coffee shop is amazing and one of the best i’ve been to in my entire life. Love the americanos too!
A. L.
Always love to visit this place but sometimes even when not busy, service is slow and staff not applying due diligence.. so management need to be aware that standards are slipping!
S. C.
Refurbished look works really well, lovely views over the Hampshire countryside complimented by some good food & drinks.
J. S.
The service is fantastic the food is fantastic. Currently returning and it looks great now, and it's going to get even better. New favourite spot!!!
K. S.
Lovely farm shop, which includes a cafe that does great food. We visited in the summer and they were doing a BBQ outside which worked really well. There are animals outside which are always a great hit with the kids!
D. G.
Just Visiting, this is a good quality produce farmshop that stocks everything from daily essential groceries to craftshop gifts at moderate costs. A cafe is attached, which serves decent coffee and snacks with other menu options available. Worth a visit to support local produce and to look at gifts
F. M.
Wonderful food. Had the black pudding salad. Just gorgeous. Waiters are very polite and professional. Will return, no doubts!
T. W.
Great place to buy good quality local meat, cheese, and other produce. Excellent cafe with great coffees and food. Fantastic breakfast, Book a table on Sunday, because it gets busy.
R. W.
On my first visit they had 40 day dry aged steaks which were fabulous. On my second they didn't which was devastating!
M. M.
Met a pal for coffee & cake not disappointed in the slightest. Very good. Beware of the car park though if you haven't got a 4x4, it's somewhat uneven to say the least.
I. M.
Good produce, great customer service. Obviously social distancing is required. Only one family member allowed in at a time..so have your shopping list ready 😉
C. W.
Lovely shop selling fresh meat, vegetables and other farm produce. Lovely cup of tea and cake served very quickly. Nice play area for children.
C. B.
Nice selecction of food and other items.. Restaurant looked nice but had only just had breakfast
K. B.
I'm loathe to write this review as this has been one of my favourite haunts for a while. If you (the Internet reading public), could please moderate your rate of arrival at this wonderful establishment, I would be truly grateful. x
A. C.
Fabulous little farm shop. Meat counter is a large selection of good quality meats . Staff are lovely xx
P. W.
The cafe is great, home made is the standard words, there is something different every visit,I would say it's slightly dearer than the competition, however it's refreshingly up to date regarding ingredients and always has new good quality items on the menu for you to try, well worth a visit.
M. S.
Great cafe serving lovely food and coffee Recommended for a lazy weekend breakfast
S. B.
Traditional farm shop and cafe; deli, butchers, local produce. This is more one for the meat lovers but there are a few vege options. Theres vege options on the main menu and plant based milks available. There werent any vegan cakes on my visit but they do normally have a homemade vegan cake as well as gluten free options.
B. L.
Well worth a visit, I would advise booking as it is very popular so you may have a little wait otherwise. Food is well priced and portions are of a good size.
E. S.
Brilliant food, friendly service. I think the new layout there looks great, well done to the team responsible.
I. C.
Lovely food as always. Just a pain that it's always so busy! Need more small tables, so you don't have to share and resurface the car park 😊
M. D.
Well presented but expensive relative to quality.
A. K.
Very friendly, great service and the food is really nice in the cafe. The fresh fruit and veg is superb and the butcher's has a great selection of meat.

D. T.
Great food. Lovely surroundings. Friendly staff
K. H.
I've had to change my review sadly. I went today and the food was alright...but more importantly the management were rude and very curt. Obviously I'm not going to say anything to them as you dont want to when people are like that!!
G. P.
Nice stuff, bit pricy but nice atmosphere
J. A.
great food lovely country cafe
D. T.
Interesting, some very good products, but very expensive, but I understand why. That maybe it's redeeming feature because the products look of good quality. Be aware that they source from all over the world, especially during the winter which is understandable.
F. L.
Gorgeous food with amazing countryside view!
Very friendly staff!
t. s.
Popped in for breakfast and will definitely be back! Generous portions of great local produce. The farm shop is also full of irresistable goodies, will be back!

Would be a 5* for the breakfast but let down by the loos which could have done with a bit of a clean. Also, perhaps when food is brought out the staff could take away used plates with them, instead of walking back into the Cafe empty handed.
