What a fantastic experience! After searching for the right car for some time I found Matt Johnson Prestige. Unfortunately 400 miles away from my home, but it was the right car. I spoke to Matt after making an email enquiry and after discussing the car I put down a deposit. Matt is a real enthusiast and totally pressure free. I was somewhat daunted about buying a car without seeing it first, however accurate descriptions and a very honest attitude gave me the confidence I needed. Within a week my car was delivered by a superb driver called Nigel. The car is excellent. I would not hesitate to buy from Matt and the team again, they play fair, there's no pressure, its a great experience.

I purchased a Ferrari F430 from Matt after looking for a long time for the right one. The car was exactly as described and in beautiful condition. Dealing with Matt was a pleasure and all went smoothly. As I wanted to pick the car up on a Saturday morning Matt even arranged and paid for Friday night accommodation in the local very nice hotel. After a fun 1st month of ownership, the car unfortunately developed a gearbox fault and had to be recovered to the local Ferrari dealership. Ferrari diagnosed the fault and carried out the necessary quite expensive repairs. Matt dealt with my warranty claim for this very professionally and without any quibble. Matt paid the Ferrari dealer for the repairs directly and I now have my car back to enjoy again. I would not hesitate to buy again from Matt Johnson Prestige and would not hesitate in recommending the business to anyone considering a purchase.

I will try to keep this short: I’ve dealt with every kind of sellers, private, small garages, big names, exotic car dealers and so on. I came across Matt Johnson Prestige on Autotrader by pure coincidence. I was looking for a specific make and model and there were only 6 cars listed for the whole UK at the time. My part exchange was not even close to his quality and selection of cars. Never the less I sent him a message. 20 or so minutes later I got the phone call from Matt himself. Long story short…less than a week later I am driving the very same car I found on the web. The service I’ve received from the first phone call to the moment I’ve picked the car after traveling 220 miles (car unseen on flesh till pick up) was nothing short of incredible. The car was even better than described by him on the phone over numerous conversations. Matt is a man on his word, and I mean that. If he makes a promise he will do everything to keep it. No games, no excuses. You know the saying: “To go an extra mile” this is not valid for Matt….he will go around the world if he needs to, driven only by the desire to make his customers happy. Exemplary trustworthy service from a first class team. I had been searching for a rare 911 for a period of time and was unable to locate the car I wanted. I saw that Matt had the exact model that I was after but I initially discounted the car as Matt's showroom was circa five and half hours from me, who would buy a car without seeing it in the flesh? Sure, everyone's nice and polite when they want your business but essentially, the truth lies in the end product and finding these factors in any dealership is more difficult than you might imagine. So difficult that I drove just over 4.5 hours to Matt Johnson Prestige and found the right vehicle for me. I don't usually enjoy the experience of buying a new car and find it quite stressful, especially when you only get to see the car online. Nonetheless Matt Johnson Prestige were a pleasure to deal with, demonstrating traditional values and good old fashioned customer service which is rare these days. How novel. A used car salesman you can trust and actually does what he says he will do. I recently purchased a 20 year old Porsche off Matt totally blind. To say I was pleased with it when it arrived would be an understatement. His attention to detail is fantastic. Luke dealt with me from my initial phone call, to getting a VERY detailed video of the car within the hour, taking my deposit and the following day he arranged finance for me. Over the years I’ve dealt with many dealerships and independent sellers such as Matt. Without question he blows all of them clean out of the water! His knowledge,personal presentation and customer service is second to none. It’s a breath of fresh air to have dealt with a person who has such high standards in every aspect.His business he has built up is a real credit to him,you don’t get to that level from cutting corners but only by pure hard work and dedication. Onto the Car I purchased which is a 2013 BMW e92 335d. It is absolutely immaculate and was presented in a true showroom condition. Being an aircraft fitter I have the ability to see flaws/imperfections in something that most people would never see, most of the time buying used cars I can pull them to pieces with problems. It was amazing to see just how good a condition my new car is. I’ve seen cars that are brand new that aren’t anywhere near the standard of what I’ve been supplied by Matt . Well if we could give Matt Johnson a thousand stars we would, my wife and I have been lucky enough to have owned and enjoyed some amazing cars over the years, from Turbo 911s to Ferraris. It became better and more special after our first deal with Matt in August 2018. It was a long journey, especially in a Ferrari, but it was worth every single mile and became the beginning of a friendship with Matt. I came across an advert in the autotrader for a car that I had in mind. From my initial contact with Luke at Matt Johnson it has been an excellent experience. This was my first time in buying a prestige motor car from a non main dealer and not seeing the purchase in person. The whole experience was exemplary. I complicated the deal by the way it was going to be financed, however this was no issue to MJ, to be informed that the dealer was happy for me to finance in any way that I wished was heartening there was no sales pressure on the part of MJ. The pictures of the car on delivery did not due it justice, it was delivered at my home on an agreed date. My review is strictly independent as I am not connected in any way (until the purchase of my car) with MJ. Quite honestly this is how business should be done, being informed as to what was going on, no hard sell, with excellent communication at all times - Luke even managed to inform me when he was ill and that kind of customer service is one that I will not forget. The range of cars is exceptional, the service is first rate and having now purchased a few vehicles from Matt I can honestly say that he goes above and beyond in every sense of the word. I think it’s true to say that you can truly see a persons or companies true colours when there is an issue that needs to be addressed. “IF CARLSBERG MADE CAR DEALERS” In November ‘19, I bought a lovely little BMW Z4. I had been looking for some time and came across the car on Autotrader, for sale at Matt Johnson Prestige cars in Barrow in Furness.. I phoned immediately and secured the car there and then, collecting it the following weekend. Right spec, right colour, right price, all good. After a few days, I noticed one or two issues with the car, so called Matt to discuss what to do. He was mortified that he had sold me a car that wasn’t to the usual high standard. As I live a good two and a half hours away, Matt suggested that I got the car checked locally to me first. After this check, the car was found to have some problems that concerned me!!😰 so Matt offered to collect the car and investigate. I managed to return the car to Barrow in Furness, for Matt Johnson Prestige to investigate. I was very kindly chauffeured in a Porsche Panamera, back home. (Nice😍) This BMW was to be a weekend car, so no huge rush to return it. There was no quibbling at all from Matt and he insisted in replacing all the issues with new BMW genuine parts. (For the main problem, I would have been happy with a reconditioned part, as I didn’t by a ’new’ car) This repair ‘would’ have cost me a lot of money, but obviously it was warrantied. Nothing was a problem for them. The parts were replaced and the car fixed 100%, without any problems or any uneasy conversations with the dealer and it was delivered back to my front door, together with receipts for all the parts fitted. Car dealers get a bad rap generally, but I have to say, the service that I received from this dealer was probably the best service I have had buying a car and beyond what I expected. Well you are in for a surprise here with Matt Johnson. Honesty, integrity and coupled with excellent customer service. Let me explain why. I saw a Volvo XC90 online in his dealership and liked what I saw. It had what I wanted but it was 176 miles away. I have in the passed gone up and down the country on the basis of a superb description only to find the car was a wreck. So I was not interested in doing that all again. However, I called them up on the off chance and we had a good open and frank chat. Certainly not like car dealers I have dealt with before. So I took a chance and paid the deposit without even seeing the car. Yes normally that would be a foolish thing to do, but not here. The Volvo was described as exceptional and when it arrived this morning, yes they delivered as well, it was and is exceptional. I cannot fault it. My overall experience was excellent. The car delivered is excellent. Would I recommend them to you? Wholeheartedly yes.
