We ordered our Land Rover Defender at Harwoods Land Rover Brighton with Max Boothby. The whole experience was five star. From the moment we went into the show room Max was charming, professional extremely knowledgeable about the product and endlessly patient with our many questions.
Max helped us build our perfect vehicle and made the whole experience pleasurable and exciting.
We came across a problem with the build due to a shortage of parts. Max was brilliant at constantly communicating with us and keeping us updated. He phoned us on New Years with the exciting news that the car had made it to the production line and bless him he sounded as excited about as we were!
The entire experience from test drive to build, to the exciting day when we picked up our new car has been fantastic. Max made the whole process really special. Thank you so much to Harwoods Land Rover Brighton but particularly to Max who has made the whole experience really special. Harwoods are lucky to have you him!

We bought over Range Rover from Harwoods Brighton and sold our old one at the same time. Immanuel was fantastic from the very first time we called the showroom regarding the car. He was very professional, knowledgable, and was very efficient. I recently bought a brand new Landrover Discovery Sport Plug In Hybrid from Max Boothby at Harwoods in Brighton. This is the second car that I have bought with Max's help in the last six months and on both occasions he has been a pleasure to deal with. During the process we had a couple of issues (not of Max's making) and he was relaxed, reassuring and helpful as we dealt with them. Good level of service from Eddie Casey in the approved used car sales team. Very helpful and responsive in sorting out work needed to the Discovery before I purchased it. I have found a couple of other things that need to be sorted out after I got it home which, given my experience so far I have every confidence will be dealt with in the same professional manner. All the staff at Hardwoods were helpful and really easy to deal with. Given the situation with Covid, the Harwoods team have got really good processes in place to ensure that the environment is safe (social distancing, access to antibacterial products, etc,).

I was concerned about buying during a lockdown without having seen it in person, but Eddie at Harwood did a great job facilitating the whole process. He was on hand to answer any questions I had, never had to wait long to talk to him on the phone or find out more about the vehicle. He sent a very comprehensive video of the car and once I arrived, the seat and wheel were wrapped up for hygiene purposes and everything was sterilised. Recently just purchased a Jaguar E-Pace from Harwoods in Lewes and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Our sales rep was Daniel Lambert and right from our first appointment to our last ( there was a few due to my demands and 100’s of questions ) we were treated amazingly and nothing was ever too much for Dan to do or look at. The service which we have received from our very first contact with Max Boothby the Sales Executive we were lucky enough to meet could not have been bettered in any way. He was most professional at all times. He is a first class representative for his Company and Land Rover in general. His knowledge levels are superb, and nothing was too much trouble for him. One finds this sort of service all too rarely in today's world.

The purchase itself proved to be a difficult task since there were no Build Slots available for the car we wanted. So Max set off trying to get us another similar car searching all over the country. There was in fact only one available situated in Reading, Berkshire. We wanted a quick turnaround and that is what we got!

The Salesperson was very polite and helpful, and made sure we had the vehicles we were initially interested in available to test drive. However, after putting a deposit on a vehicle, I realised the following day that I had overstretched my finances and explained that I would not be able to proceed with the purchase. They still have not refunded my £1000, which I can ill afford to lose. Despite another dealer in Harwoods group calling them and asking them to refund it. I have also been told by another Landrover Dealership that Harwoods cannot refuse to refund my deposit, but I'm still waiting, I have asked for it back several times but my requests have been ignored! Despite the pleasant experience initially , it has made me wary to have dealings with this branch in the future.

We have used Harwoods several times over the past few years for both Land Rover and Jaguar. Our latest vehicle is a Land Rover Velar R-Dynamic HSE 240D. We first visited Harwoods Lewes on Saturday 18/08/19 to get a quote for a new Velar. Our salesman was Peter Bailey and he showed us the options for both new and used vehicles. He was extremely helpful and sourced an ex management vehicle with only 6k mileage which met the spec of the vehicle we wanted. The vehicle was at their Basingstoke branch and despite the fact that it was the weekend, we were able to test drive the vehicle on the following Monday. Fantastic condition and we were sold. Full 165 point check later and valet and the vehicle was ours with a full 2 year warranty in under 10 days which included a bank holiday weekend. I called Harwoods Lewes on Thursday morning to express my interest in having a look at Discovery Sport. To everyone’s surprise - I actually ended up buying it by Thursday noon itself.

Started looking for a replacement for my 14 year old Bentley continental gt , and started looking at the Rangerover Vogue, what I was after was a vogue se with a light coloured trim ,after visiting a few Landrover dealerships and also some independent dealers I purchased one from Harwoods Lewes, the decision to buy from the Lewes branch was due to ,having made my decision to buy from an approved dealer with a budget of £65000 I visited the Crawley branch where myself and my wife waited 10 minutes whilst staff failed to acknowledge us even chatting to each other at one of the sales desks, we decided to try the Pulbourgh branch where it took around 5 minutes before we were asked if we needed any help, our details were taken and the salesperson apologised for not seeing us sooner.
Several days later we were sent an email regarding a vehicle in stock at the Lewes branch which we went to see on the Sunday morning before Xmas, we were immediately greeted by two lovely ladies on reception who asked if they could help us and we were then greeted by Max who offered us drinks and assistance he was friendly and very informative regarding our requirements and after a few discussions we agreed on a purchase of a preowned Vogue se, i am sure if we had been greeted on our visit to Crawley we would have purchased a vehicle from there due to its proximity to where we live.
Max has dealt with us on a very professional level and has always responded quickly and efficiently with any questions I’ve had.
The car is beautiful to drive and on collection looked to me like a new car, the only issue I’ve had is on the rear window only defrosting on the top half of the glass which the service department are looking into.

My wife and I travelled 150 miles to Harwoods (from Northamptonshire) to view a LR approved Freelander, because it looked good on the website. On arrival the first impression of Harwoods was a bit scary. All these super expensive beautifully displayed vehicles, most of which we could only dream of ever owning.
We were greeted on entry by Joshua Crush, a sales executive who was a very engaging young gentleman. The car was excellent and the way it was presented and how it performed on an extensive road trial made it an easy decision to purchase. The Manager even found time to have a chat with us which was nice of him. All in all, despite our feelings on arrival, we were made to feel that we were just as important to Harwoods as a customer purchasing a top of the range vehicle. A nice feeling.
We stayed over night in the area and returned home the following day. Three days later made the long haul back down to complete the purchase.
Harwoods sales executive Joshua Crush is a top draw young man. He even put our new purchase in the showroom for the hand over, which gleamed away alongside all the new cars and looked fantastic. Joshua had us open the boot and there was a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. What a lovely touch. In addition he had even programmed into the satnav the address of the overnight stay in Newhaven a our home address.
Harwoods, you need to hold on to Joshua he is a one off and is surely an asset to you fine company.

5 year old VW served faithfully & reached in excess of 120K miles. However, last year it became faulty requiring expensive work, then broke down on me in June. New car time.
Research & taste placed 2 cars on my list.
1st was a Lexus RX450, practical yet somewhat boring (subjective).
I settled upon a Jaguar F-Pace & began research into which marque, type & size engine, based on how, when & where i’d be driving.
It’s necessary to say Autotrader is a brilliant app when it comes to car choice.
I’d decided colour & spec, so turned my attention to finding a well-reputed dealer that wasn’t too far & more importantly, had good real-world online reviews upon which I could decide to engage.
Harwoods Jaguar Brighton seemed to fit the bill & on making my initial enquiry, I was promptly contacted by Oliver Middleton; sales exec. We arranged to meet on a mutually convenient date & he advised me what was required in order to test drive.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a pleasant, well turned out receptionist who lead me to a seat & offered refreshment. Nice touch. A printed welcome board at the reception had my name incorrectly spelled. A minor admin point, or was this a small indication of this businesses attention to detail? Time would tell.
Oliver was pleasant & accommodating. At no point during our interaction did I feel I didn’t belong in a Jaguar dealership. He explained all financing options as well as the myriad benefits of making a vehicle acquisition via Harwoods Brighton.
Test drive was as expected, a rather pleasant, exhilarating experience. I left feeling I’d made the right choice in both car & vendor.
Arranged to return to thrash out a deal a week later. Long story short, I drove away with the vehicle of my choice with a deal all parties felt was fair. Nothing seemed too much trouble when it came to ensuring I, the customer, was comfortable with all aspects of the deal, from financing through to extra benefits that would be afforded me. With a good rapport built up over 2 visits, these were not insubstantial.
Of particular note & importance to me was the fact that Oliver clarified all aspects of the deal to my satisfaction ensuring I was sighted on the relevance of all documents & procedures to prevent any delivery delays.
I was introduced to both Will (finance exec); who was thorough in his explanations as well as to the dealerships sales manager, Matt Finnis who; took time to come & speak to me. Matt was also accommodating when it came to thrashing out a deal for which I am grateful.
Prior to attending the second time, I’d prepared some questions which required answers or solving. Deal-breakers? possibly not, but the way they were dealt with was certainly a strong determining factor in my decision to drop what is not an insubstantial amount of money on the car. Also of note from earlier, was the fact my name had also been correctly spelled on the welcome board that awaited me this time. Redemption.
Oliver ensured the software for the InControl Touch Pro (ICTP) infotainment system was fully updated, along with full service & MOT being completed.
He assisted in setting up all online accounts required to ensure I would continue to benefit from all options on offer.
Further, all controls & dash instrumentation was demonstrated to my satisfaction.
Keys were handed over with a handshake. If I had a gripe…it would be regarding NOT being allowed to keep the Rod Stewart CD the previous owner had left behind. CLEARLY this was her gift to any subsequent owner…Not happy (I jest).
Oliver, thanks for making my experience a pleasant one. As I said when we sealed the deal, whilst I know it’s your ‘job’; you do it with a genuine smile & a degree of professionalism that is not just a credit to the Harwoods firm, but more importantly, to you, the appreciation of which, is more than you may fully understand.

Went to look at the Jaguar iPace. The salesman didn't know very much about it other than it's speed, charge time and range, and didn't sell it very well. For more details, he just read from the options on the website, which I'd already browsed before I arrived. The test drive was uninformative and the sales guy got lost with the car's menus and couldn't find various features. So after, I was entirely convinced that Tesla was the way to go. What concerned me the most about the experience was that I don't think there would be any good aftercare with the iPace if there was a problem. Jaguar are not really geared up for electric sales, and not very interested in pushing it. If I'd wanted an F-Pace, I'd probably have had an entirely different experience.
