CarShop made things easy for us. We were looked after by Jason and Shina. They were friendly and helpful, and got us through the car industry jargon. We got to part exchange our old car, and drive away in the new one that same afternoon. They gave us the purchase options, helped us understand the extras, let us choose which ones to keep, no hard selling, and gave us time alone in-store to chat things through. Would happily recommend.

I went to the CarShop in Bristol at the end of November and was greeted at the door shown to a seat for a short wait for a salesman. Mark W was great, we had a chat, he found out what I was after and had a few cars brought round for me to see. I tested the BMW pictured and purchased it on PCP a week later. Both Mark and his boss Aldi C who took me through the financials were fantastic. Polite, non pushy, clear and patient. My experience with the CarShop was 5 stars and I'm very satisfied with the whole service, love my 'new' wheels

Wasn’t planning on buying a new car but mine broke down so that day I went in to take a look. Was greeted by someone who took us to the short bald chap who was very funny and helpful.
The pro’s to this place is the staff. They were great. The process is long and drawn out though. Was there 4 hours on the Sunday and another 3 on the Monday when I collected the car. It was painful. When I collected the car it had no mats, a brief wash outside, smothered in a silicone shine inside covering the thick dust and was running on fumes. I was assured it would be cleaned and had fuel.
The car itself is immaculate for a previously owned one.
However after less than two weeks it has a fault with the coolant. Luckily i bought warranty and will be fixed but can’t get a courtesy car for over a month!!
Overall it’s not a bad company, just expect to be there for hours and drive away on fumes 😬

Fantastic experience buying my new car! From the minute I walked in to the site I was greeted with a warm welcome. Sitting down at the PC with Jason was really helpful as we looked through the cars and picked one for me to test drive, he made me feel at ease and answered all of my questions. His manager Alex came over to introduce himself when we walked past the desk too, which made me feel they were grateful for my purchase. My business manager Shina was so knowledgeable, and I felt well informed when opting for a warranty and GAP - better safe than sorry!! Lastly, my handover rep Leona helped me tax my car and took me through all of my documents, with a final cheery wave out of the door. I'll recommend Carshop to all of my friends and family and to anyone reading this, what a refreshing visit to a car dealership!!
Also thanks to Tan who gave me a call to check all was good with the car a couple of days later - I'm loving it!

I’m in the process of getting my driving license done and decided to have a look at the cars that they had in car shop Bristol. Surprisingly, everybody in there was nice on arrival and I was assessed by Melvin, what a nice person!! He talked to me about all the different possibilities of different cars and products that the company had to offer. Today I Finally chose and collected my new car. My experience with CarShop was exemplary. It took a while to find the car I wanted and the manner and patience to which I was dealt with was of a professional and courteous attitude. From the first ‘Good afternoon’ to the keys in my hand was first class. My main point of contact was Daniel, whom was excellent start to finish. Tony ran through everything as quickly as possible and it can take a bit of time as the system was down but other than that everything was good.

Great experience, super-efficient right from reserving the car online to having it delivered to a closer showroom for inspection. When we went in to view the car we were looked after by Kyle who made us feel really welcome, very knowledgeable and friendly, taking us through the car details and what checks had been done on it etc, at no time did we feel we were being pressured into buying 'additional services' or that this was a sales pitch, simply informative. Had the absolute pleasure of being met by Tan on arrival. Pointed in the right direction and allowed to browse at our own pace. Very happy with our experience at CarShop. We only intended to look around initially, but Melvin made it all very straightforward, and found us a number of cars to look at, so we were able to buy what we were looking for quicker than we'd anticipated. We appreciated that we were helped, but that it wasn't high pressure sales. We'd not bought using PCP before, but that was explained clearly to us by both Melvin, and Joshua when we collected the car a few days later, after it was transferred from elsewhere. I think the only thing I'd improve is knowing beforehand how long the collection process would take - 2 hours for us, as the car wasn't taxed, and needed to be taxed at a post office rather than online due to the previous owner buying through Motability.

Could not fault!! Absolutely amazing service over the weekend from Andras, Sitil and Sophie. From start to finish we were taken care of and looked after. I explained the problems I had with my previous car and that I didn’t really understand some of the car lingo each of them took their time to walk me through everything and not once was I made to feel like I didn’t belong. Had a fantastic experience buying my new car with the whole team from Bristol. From Jason at the start who was very patient when I changed my mind several times on the vehicle and Tony who was amazingly understanding with my situation and was on the other end of the phone through the process with constant communication answering all of my questions. Leona who sorted all the tax, insurance etc before taking the car was brilliant. She was helpful, friendly and smiley! I also recieved a lovely call from Connor a couple of days later checking everything was ok and that I was still happy with the car.

This was our first appointment of our 4 years service and MOT agreement which was made with CarShop Bristol where we bought it. But the work was done at Manchester branch which is near us, It was a very pleasant experience. We were told it would take about 4 hours so, after a free coffee, we went to the nearest town, Ashton - 2 stops on the tram - and enjoyed a walk around and some shopping. When we got back, the car and MOT were ready. We had a bit of a teach-in about some items we didn't understand on the Sat-Nav which was free and very helpful. Altogether, it was a very pleasant experience. We were surprised because we had been concerned that the mechanics have to be experts on so many different manufacturers. Well done CarShop.

I felt super welcomed by Melvin as soon as I walked through the door, he was super helpful, informative and just fab! Really put my first experience at ease, a funny guy that knows his stuff. I had my nan with me, he was making jokes with her and even got her a little hot choccy. Amazing man! He took me out on a test drive and made sure I was super comfortable before making such an important purchase.
Once I had chosen my car I was taken over to Sitil to do all the boring admin, it was such a long process however she made it a much easier, less boring process by being super lovely, informative and funny. It was a relaxed, but professional environment. I didn’t feel pressured into anything and felt they loved their role.

Kyle was extremely pleasant and helpful, listened to my requirements and didn’t pressure me into coming away from some options I had seen prior to visiting the shop. He clearly explained the options of GardX and advance plus MOT and Service cover.
Business manager Alex then took over for the explanations of the warranties and breakdown cover, again he was very polite and friendly and even gave a little extra deal on my part exchange which was very much appreciated.

Came into car shop and found a car I love, not expecting to drive away with one the same day. They were super helpful! A couple months later I was experiencing squealing brakes, booked in for a diagnostic and they told me the brake pads needed a clean a re grease. Told me it would be a 2 hour appointment and I was there 7 hours! A day later they were still squealing, me just thinking it won’t work straight away so waited a couple more days. Rang up and they want it in for a final diagnostic. At this point I’ve already spent 2 days at car shop, I work full time and live an hour away and nobody can pick me up do to work. I’ve asked to be given a courtesy car till the problem if fully sorted but they are refusing! I told them if they can’t get me a courtesy car I will be going somewhere else and sending them the bill but no they are saying the don’t pay for anything outside carshop. Now I’m stuck with what to do!! Everyone at carshop is so friendly but just feel like this is never ending!

Have to say we had a lovely experience buying a car from carshop. We never felt under any pressure to buy any ‘extras’ which, like every car dealer, they tried to sell. The whole team were welcoming, understanding of our needs, and as helpful and polite as they could possibly be. i purchased my car from car shop bristol and it was a great experience. forgetting my driving licence did make it a bit slower however they were very professional and understanding.
sitil made the final closure of the sale very efficient and explained everything thoroughly with no questions left unasked.
my car had to come back to the workshop for some work and was advised it would be a morning appointment and that i could wait as i would not be able to get transport to and from the store.
however the day before i received a call informing me the car would need to stay until late afternoon, i spoke with jenna in customer services and she offered to come and collect the car and return it back to me when the work was done for the inconvenience.
valet also gave the car a lovely clean.

Having bought my last car unseen over the Internet 7 years ago the Carshop at Bristol was jawdropping to say the least, it's massive, brilliantly laid out, and a really nice environment. I had reserved a particular car by phone and driven 1 and a half hours to see it. We walked through the entrance and were promptly greeted by Ben, who then looked after us impeccably for the next 2 hours. We were invited to sit and relax with a cuppa, whilst Ben pulled up the car on the screen and went through the features. He was friendly, easy to talk with, and had a lot of good advice, without being in any way pushy. We then went through to the car which was ready and waiting. It was exactly as described on the Internet and it looked fantastic! We were given time on our own to look around it, so no pressure, and then we went for a test drive. We both drove the car for a good amount of time, and it performed perfectly.

Buying the car was easy and painless. Dan was great at chatting with me about the car that I ended up buying and I never felt pressured or rushed into a decision.
However, the post-buying experience has left a lot to be desired. Firstly, the spare key, service book and SD card for the navigation system were to be sent to me in the post along with a wiper blade that needed replacing. The items came after about 2 weeks (without the wiper blade), which was longer than expected, if not much of an issue. I asked about the wiper blade and they said I would have to buy my own and send them the receipt.
The next issue came 8 days after buying when the tyre pressure warning light came on. I took it to a garage and there was a rim leak due to a poor fit on the tyre. Whilst this wasn’t necessarily Carshop’s fault, all-in-all it took over a month to resolve the issue, with 3 ignored emails. This was after they emailed me to say it needed to be booked in and I replied that day saying I could bring it in the next day - I eventually had to ring to get it booked in as I was starting a new job the next week.
The day of the repair came and, having asked for the car back at 4:30 as I had work that evening, I arrived at 4:30 to be told the valet on the outside was being finished and would be another 5 minutes. I asked them not to valet the inside as I needed to leave ASAP. They proceeded to finish the valet anyway which took another 20 minutes and the customer service rep who was dealing with my case continued taking and making calls to other people after I told him I needed the car back - I understand things need to be done but I had made it very clear I was in a bit of a rush at this point. I eventually got the car back at 5:10 and just about made it to work in time.
Overall, the people are very nice to speak to and deal with, and I am - eventually - very happy with my car. But the organisation and attention to detail has severely lacked since I bought the car.
UPDATE
I called nearly a month ago to try and book a service as part of my pre-paid plan due in September. Was told I would receive a call back but never did. Called again 09/10 and got exactly the same response (despite explaining that hadn’t worked last time) and I would hear by 11/10. Now 16/10, still nothing. If anyone from Carshop sees this I’d be grateful for some help.

From the minute we walked into the door at CarShop the service we received was so friendly and extremely professional.
We were shown to a desk and shortly joined by Matt who was just delightful, chatty and so friendly.
He talked me through the great optional extras and gave me lots of advice about them.
I knew which car I was coming to look at so was shortly taken to the showroom. I was able spend as much time as I wanted inspecting the car, which was exactly like the photos, unlike all the other cars I’d looked at in other garages!
We then met Tony Booth who was extremely experienced and knowledgeable with the financial side of my purchase. He ran through all the optional extras, explaining each one in detail with lots of advice about them.
At no point did we feel rushed or pressured during our time here though.
The whole purchase was so smooth and professional from start to finish and I cannot recommend CarShop highly enough.

Considering I had reserved the car I wanted, paid (£50) to have it transferred to this branch, had a pre-arranged appointment, already provided details of the part ex and was a cash buyer, it still took 4.5 hours from walking in, to driving off with the car!! This includes an hour of hard selling of their advantage plans, MOT Plan, Service Plan, GAP insurance Plan, 1, 2 or 3 three-year warranties and probably some others I have forgotten, none of which I wanted and were all declined, much to the salesman’s disgust. You have to see a different person for each part of the buying process and each one I waited for at least 30mins to see and there was even a 30-minute wait just to bring the car out when I thought all was done. I left exhausted, hungry, with a splitting headache and it was now so late all the night time road closures on my journey had started and added another hour on to my long journey home with my evening plans now ruined. I would understand if they were busy, but this did not seem the case. I will say that everyone I spoke to in the process was very nice and professional.
The car itself seems very good and was good value. There are little things missing that I would not expect buying a car through a dealership, no car mats, lighter missing, no car manual, no puncture repair kit, alloy badge missing. All of which I will be sorting, but just frustrating. You don’t even get nice folder to put all the bits of paperwork in.
There is a problem with the boot, which they have offered to get fixed and they will be arranging at a local garage due to the distance they are away from me. I have yet to be contacted, however if this is sorted quickly, I will increase my rating by 1 star.
Would I use again? Only if they had a specific car I was after as they did this time. Just make sure to not make any other plans that day and take some lunch with you!

At first I dealt with Adrian, he helped in regards of finding the perfect car, with explaining the whole thing easily, detailed and keeping myself and my partner informed with everything happening stage by stage.
Secondly I also want to say Shina, he was great, he helped with all paperwork, explaining the whole agreement and financial help with the costs and also helping setting up other plus sides with the purchase of my car. Every detail there was with paperwork and forms, was explaining very well and not rushed even though it was busy, Shina took his time in detailed explained detailed.
Lastly, Leona helped with the last few steps in regards of tax, showing us the best way to start up and set up, also explaining the vehicle history and previous issues with the car, also getting the car ready and ready to drive out of the dealership. All 3 of these people were great and helpful and have made a customer for life from myself, also every one else we spoke to that worked there was great and friendly with anything we needed.

Edited to add; I wrote the above review when I was there, as I honestly thought the process was nearly done. I didn't expect it to take over 3.5hrs - I had reserved the car I wanted, was part-exing mine and paying cash for the remainder.
Now it's a week later, and I'm still waiting for a call back on an issue I've raised, I'll be full and frank below.
Whilst Melvin & Anthony were both nice chaps & this isn't a reflection on them but moreover the whole CarShop experience.
The car I'd reserved wasn't prepped and ready, was dirty inside and the fuel tank was on zero when I test drove it. I was assured there would be fuel when I drove it away & I wouldn't be sent away on fumes, but I was. So driving my new car away had the shine took off it that I had to anxiously limp to the nearest garage. I would've gone back in but it was 7pm at this point and I have a one month old newborn I had to get back to.
The valet was a rush job, my Husband had to re-do it. No floor mats, which I'm waiting for the call back on (I first chased this 6 days ago).
Overall, not impressed this time around.

Went to car shop Bristol branch and was greeted by Dan who was very helpful and kind in showing me a good selection of cars. Afterwards, I was passed over to Aldi to organise the test drive and money side of it. I can’t fault Dan and Aldi for their service as they couldn’t do enough. Unfortunately, my experience was let down by the customer service side who dealt with part-ex and organising the car to be ready to leave. I ended up being there four and a half hours because of this. The car wasn’t put into a English v5 as this car was Northern Irish - meant I couldn’t tax it. I was also told the protective coating they put on the paint would be an additional two hours and it was already nearly 20:00. I emailed them the following day saying the passenger door window switch is soft to the touch and doesn’t open the window, I was then told they would need the car for the day just to diagnose it which I see as unnecessary. Overall, Dan and Aldi were brilliant but the customer service/hand over people were extremely unhelpful.

During the actual buying process I was very pleased with everything. However as soon as money had exchanged hands and I’d bought the car that’s when the service took a nose dive, which is a shame as I was really impressed to start with.
I arrived to collect the car to then be told that they hadn’t changed the log book from stating it was a disability car (also wasn’t told this had previously been a car under the mobility scheme). I was told I could just pop to the post office and get the paperwork sorted. This wasn’t practical and I convinced them to send an employee to do it as this should have been done before hand.
When I went to look at the car I noticed that there were dents and scratches that weren’t there when I had done a virtual viewing. They concluded it must have happened in transport to their store. The sales person didn’t seem too bothered and I had to push for them to fix it
2 weeks later I still hadn’t been contacted by their mobile repair team and I had to chase it up (which became a running theme)
I also noticed that the shelf for the boot, which was shown in the virtual viewing was missing. I was told they couldn’t find it and would order a new one. I had to chase this up 3 times and drive out to personally collect it.
I purchased the car in Feb, it’s now mid June and I’m still waiting for the log book. They have told be they have sent off for it 3 times, it’s taken several chase up emails to get a response and i still don’t have it,
I’ve requested details for their complaints process due to their lack of correspondence and failure to provide any aftercare… yet again I’ve had to send follow up emails requesting a response, still waiting a reply

Good first experience getting a car here. We dealt with Reiss at first, he gave us all the options that met our criteria. We went onto the pitch and chose our car. The vehicle was brought in for us to have a look and also go on a test drive. Very happy with the car. Reiss then introduced us to Alex, with whom we discussed the payment details . We all came to a happy agreement and it was fist pumps and elbows all round. Finally we met Shina to complete our agreement and now we are driving off to enjoy our new car. Not bad but the process is far to drawn out, I was there for over 3 hours another couple over 4 hours, way to long for something as simple as buying a car (especially as I was a cash buyer). I’d expect no more than an hour including test drive, the buying process needs an overhaul. CarShop states no admin but then try’s to layer on this advantage package for £99 which includes stuff you would expect anyway, such as document handover. If you have insurance it does 90% of what the advantage package offers. It’s a admin fee in disguise, get it waived.

Was apprehensive that this would be another wheeler dealer market hall, but we could not have been more wrong! Will was extremely helpful during the entire process - I was looking for an upgrade from my current '09 Hyundai i10, and although there were no i20s/i30s, he managed to find me a gorgeous i10 Play with plenty of extra features and less than 20k miles on the clock. There was a tiny chip in the paint on the front bumper, but I was assured this would be touched up before I returned to collect.
It was great to inspect the car inside rather than out on a rainy forecourt(!), and I was out for a test drive in no time. After that, the process of purchasing the car was so simple - again, Will was extremely helpful in getting the paperwork signed and setting us up for payment. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to drive the car away that day, but I was able to put down a deposit and have an appointment to return this Saturday to complete the full payment and pick up the car.
I understand they have to sell certain products, but I never felt pressured to buy anything - they even threw in a free tank of petrol after I agreed to go ahead with their advanced cover! Could not recommend enough, and would definitely consider purchasing another car from here in the future

I bought a Honda CR-V back in December 2021, I had a couple of issues including a faulty master cylinder, parking sensors and a loss of power with a engine management light on. The master cylinder was replaced under warranty but took a while due to parts issues. The same with the parking sensors that are due to be replaced too. When the issue with the loss of power happened, the car shop technicians had a look but couldn’t confirm the loss of power so they sent it to Bristol Honda where they performed a software update to fix the issue. This was all covered under warranty and have also had two free valets. I couldn’t thank Ash, Paige, Cora and the service team for their excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Bristol carshop!!

So after looking at the reviews about carshop Bristol I was a a bit apprehensive as the negative feedback were about hard sales for warranty etc once you had purchased a car. My experience was quite painless. Tim Nott my business manager was quite professional and given my experience with the automotive industry he was very respectful. The warranties available along with the service packages look reasonable so this is something I will get back to them about.
Once Tim finished his presentation of the options for this he pasted me on to his colleague Paul who finished the paperwork regarding my part exchange and sorted my driveway insurance with ease.
I've given 5 stars 🌟 because to be fair if you purchase a car of any value then you want to look after it and it's a necessary evil to service your car not a luxury. Plus spending your hard earned money on a car is the second biggest purchase made in your life so why wouldn't you want to look after it.

Bought my car from Carshop Bristol a few months ago. Friendly staff and overall a positive experience. In particular, I want to say a big big thank you to Ash in customer service. The car needed to go in for some work to be done, shortly after I purchased it (which was agreed in the sale). During this time I was given a loan car. From the start, Ash was so efficient, understanding and informative. This was clear to see when things didn't go to plan (completely out of carshop's control). Ash was always quick to update me on the situation and would resolve any queries I had. Solutions were always provided as soon as possible, extending the loan car period so that I could still travel to work. Due to work I couldn't answer calls much, but Ash was always prompt with his emails and replies! The car was collected and Ash had kindly organised a full tank of fuel to be put in my car which was a lovely gesture. I cannot fault anything with the service Ash has provided for me.. he is a real asset to your team!!

So I recently bought a lovely little mx5 from carshop Bristol. I did have a few issues with the business manager assigned to my account.
Thankfully I spoke to the head of business Ross Tonks, he was very helpful and dealt with the issues very well. He has been in contact several times and really wanted to make sure I was happy. He made sure the business manager I was assigned was changed.

Had a fantastic experience at the Filton CarShop branch. Paige was really friendly, happy to answer all my questions and remained patient with me whilst I was deciding on whether or not to make the purchase. She also promised to find out whether my car had a spare key and if it did it would be posted to me which it was 2 days later - great!! The only downside of my experience was the finance run through with a different staff member took an extremely long time (2 and a half hours!!) when we were told it would only take 45 minutes. Just be cautious of the extra payments they will entice you to make (such as for GAP insurance and extended warranty) because I feel I was taken advantage of for being a young driver new to financing a car. It wasn't until after I had left that I realised these were not necessities I had to purchase and the way they were explained to me was not in a way that made it sound like they were optional. I understand this is part of the job but I would've appreciated some more transparency around this.
However, overall a great experience and I would definitely purchase from CarShop again!

I visited Car Shop a few times during my car search and was helped by Steve. He was lovely and very helpful. Although I didn't end up buying a car from them, Steve really helped me to work out what car I wanted as I was able to test drive a couple of cars that were on my shortlist. The only reason I didn't end up buying from them is that I found a very similar car that was a year newer and much closer to me (7 minute drive rather than at least 45 minutes).

After lots of nagging from my partner, he managed to persuade me that our car needed to go and we needed to upgrade. We went to Bristol Car Shop and was dealt with by a little bald man, who went by the name Jason. Jason completely agreed with my partner regarding needing a upgrade - strange that, what with him being a sales man. The upside is Jason asked what were my requirements, as well as my partner's need. By showing fab listening skills, he found us a new car.....A MERCEDES! I was concerned at first as I thought it would cost too much and the finance would be astronomical. Jason and his colleagues put a fantastic package together and finally I had no reason or excuse not to go for the car. Jason was that good!!
Our experience has been amazing and the company ensured we felt safe and protected with regards to Covid. Even to the extent that Jason said he would love to shake our hands at the end of the sale, as he had enjoyed serving us, but was rightfully not allowed. To be honest, I feel my partner and Jason had started a little bromance.

I was able to test drive the first car on the day and then the other one brought to the this branch. I was then contacted that the car had arrived within expected time, was then able to test drive. Paige was welcoming on arrival and brilliant at helping go through all the options available, setting up the test drive and explaining about all the extras. She was also able to talk to her manager about a price match and was able to give this to us. Then during the payment section, Aldi was great at going through everything and explaining things in enough depth without feeling pressured into any extras. All our questions were able to be answered. The overall experience was brilliant and Paige was really helpful throughout. I would recommend this as a great place to look for a car.
