I went to Thornbury Car Centre as they had a used BMW at a decent price. Before heading down there I went to a dealership with a more detailed, step-by-step, salesy approach where I felt like I was headed toward a purchase that I wasn't sure I wanted to make but got loads of information about the car. Thornbury was totally different. It's a bit far from Bristol city centre, which I didn't realise, and my Uber stopped in the wrong location. The gents were kind enough to get one of the staff to pick me up (10 mins drive away) as there isn't much by way of public transport. Once I finally arrived, Paul was really relaxed, handed me the keys and let me take my time and have a look at the car without giving me a hard sell. He let me get on with it but was always there in the office to answer any questions that I had and was able to answer anything I wasn't sure of. The test drive was similarly hands off, with a staff member sat in the back, a little guidance given on the local areas and where might be good to drive and I was able to properly test the car at various speeds and be sure I liked the drive and that there were no issues. I went home to have a think and decided to purchase but on the condition that I could do an RAC check in advance and Paul was professional and happy to accomodate the RAC check (I paid for it), assuring me the car would come back clear, which it did. When it came to payment I put down a deposit to hold the car but then had to isolate for 10 days and Paul was fine about the wait. I then came back to pick up the newly MOTd and valeted car and, 4 months and a BMW service later, everything is in good shape. The BMW mechanics even remarked that the car was in really good condition. Advice: I really appreciated the hands-off approach so if you go there and want a more attentive service you'll just need to be clear that you need to be talked through everything and supported in detail as they will leave you to it. I only dealt with Paul, who was fantastic. I can't comment on anyone else as they did not serve me. If you are not driving there, it's difficult to get a cab/Uber in the area so plan in advance and try to go with someone who has a car. Thanks again Paul!

Absolutely fabulous experience at Thornbury Car Centre. Paul was so helpful throughout and the customer service is the best I've received in a long time. The car purchased was immaculate and as described in the advert. Paul stayed late as we were held up travelling, the journey was horrendous but Paul gave us all the time we needed and did not rush us. I would highly recommend Thornbury Car Centre based on my experience today.

Bought a Discovery 4 from them a week or so ago, The airbag light came on soon after collecting the vehicle, a quick call to Paul and he got the ball rolling and bent over backwards to get it sorted, they took it to a Landrover specialist for diagnosis and fix, and provided a courtesy car in the mean time. Well happy. Highly recommended.

Went to look at a car for my daughter. Paul was friendly, and really helpful and I was able to test drive car. I paid £100 to reserve car. Although we decided on a different car from another dealership a few days later. I had no problem in getting the £100 returned. No pressure sales from Paul and would definitely go there again in the future.

Brilliant service at first but the first time I had a problem with the car I rang regarding the warranty and was told they'd get back to me.... They never so I tried calling a week later, it went to answer phone after a while (call screening?) So I left a message and my number, weeks later still nothing! It was for such a small amount of money it makes me wonder what would happen if something expensive went wrong........

I bought a car from Thornbury, didn't find them pushy, the car was ready for a test drive when I arrived, and I could decide at my own leisure. When I did decide to buy it, they were very helpful, not only with the purchase but also with the tax etc...There was a slight problem with the car post sale, but again they were very helpful and sorted it all out. I always think you can tell the quality of the company on how they sort problems, you hope not to have any, but at least you know these guys will sort them if you do. 5 Stars.

We have just bought a Kia from the garage. It had a slight problem with the tyres but it was dealt with immediately. Two brand new tyres were ordered in and fitted the next day as arranged.
