I am on my second car with Wessex Garages and I am really happy with the service I always get. The last time I was in to order my new car, I was looked after by Jacob who was fantastic. He was polite, professional and really personable. I was well informed and he made everything really easy for me. They also managed to get my car to me much sooner than expected which was great. No faults at all. He is a credit to the team.

Smooth experience from start to finish. Began with a quick online chat with Wesley McBarnett. Popped in for a chat to check my options. Wes is very helpful, easy to talk to and doesn’t pressure sale. He has natural customer service skills and makes the journey personable. Communication was fantastic, with regular updates on progress of car, even if I did miss quite a few of the calls there was always another call/a voicemail or an email with an update. Pleasure to do business with you, if car sales doesn’t work out I’d quite happily employee you.

It's time for us to buy a car, we found Wessex Garages, Bristol online with a nice selection of cars to buy, we found the perfect car and rang to make an appointment to view it. We visited the showroom and was greeted by Robert Ordog our sales consultant, he was very friendly and courteous. Robert took us on a test drive, all questions were answered, he even went out of his way to visit us at our home to ensure one part of the paperwork process was signed ready for our expected collection date, and the paperwork process was spot on. Helpful & friendly staff, nice showroom and selection of cars. There was a slightly awkward moment when the sales rep I had met earlier seemed to forget that I had booked a follow up appointment when I showed up a week later. The dealership itself must have been understaffed as calling them was a painful process. I was disappointed to not receive floor mats as part of the used & approved package & other dealerships have ensured the tank has been full when you leave. I'm very pleased to report that Wesley completely restored our faith in the profession. Replacing your trusty but aging car can be a stressful experience, especially when taking the leap (of faith) into a fully electric model! It's a steep learning curve.......putting aside making the right car choice.....public charging infrastructure, home charging, driving in the EU, etc. etc. Choosing a Kia was the obvious choice, with brand loyalty already there, having owned a Carens (from new) for 8 years and my partner Sue on her 4th Kia in 30 years.......we've seen the brand evolve into a trusty and reliable make. Wesley eased my anxieties about the big change, plus setting up the Kia Charge account (for public charging) and made the process of trading in, the new purchase, plus offering and explaining the options of GAP Insurance and Puncture / Alloy Wheel Protection a pleasurable experience. A week later I was driving my e-Niro off the forecourt and through the streets of Bristol. I'll look forward to (perhaps another 8 years) of driving my Niro.
Since writing this review, it's disappointing to report that Wessex Garages have renaged on part of the sales contract and agreement. The contract included the supply of rubber mats for the car, which, only after a fair degree of chasing, Wessex Garages informed me that they could no longer obtain but made an alternative offer of my procurement of the mats independently with reimbursement by Wessex. I went ahead and ordered some from Halfords but Wessex have now refused to reimburse me. It's such a shame to end what was an otherwise pleasurable process with disappointment.......the story will continue!

Just took my beloved Kia Picanto for a service and MOT here. In all honesty, it was in a shameful state - it hadn't been MOTed and cleaned for about 18 months, it even had moss growing on it. Just completed purchase of nearly-new car at Wessex Kia Bristol. Our salesman Mo has been great, always polite and helpful, through what turned out to be a protracted process (fault for this lay with Kia HQ rather than Bristol). Just bought our Sportage from Kia Bristol, we had been looking at other makes but my mother-inlaw told us about the service she had received from Mo when buying her Picanto so we thought we would try for ourselves. I bought my Kia Sportage a year ago when it was 6 months old. The salesman (sorry forgotten your name, might be Ben ?), anyway he was extremely helpful and knowledgable without being in any way pushy. He asked me what my intentions were re the car insomuch as its use, mileage and how long I would keep it. He then talked me through all the options re servicing and together we agreed on the best service plan to suit my needs. Part exchange for my old car was reasonable though not outstanding. I signed on the dotted line and collected the car couple of days later after it had been serviced and valeted. It was all ready when I arrived and they arranged their short term insurance which allowed me to drive my car to them and the new Kia home. I have just had it serviced. If the customer service I had so far received could have been bettered then it was. The car was collected from my house exactly at the pre arranged time. The driver was friendly and polite and and gave me a time that it would be returned. I later received a phone call from the technician (mechanic) that was servicing my car to give me an update and to discuss issues that were not desperate but needed bringing to my attention. There was no 'hard sell' (wipers). Other dealers I find want to talk you into having extra work done but this was not the case with Wessex Bristol. The vehicle was returned to me, on time, by the same driver that collected it. He reversed it into my drive and parked it exactly where he had collected it from. A small point but I'm sure others would have just left it on the drive any how but he reversed it in because thats "how he had collected it". We had a friendly chat about cars in general whilst he showed me around my, now spotless car. I can't fault Wessex at all and believe me I would if I needed to (you should see the feedback I left on the local Vauxhall site). Hopefully I will be able to report on a similar experience next year.

Firstly, the salesman, Mark Robinson, could not have been more helpful. He had been with the company for less than a week, but endeavoured to answer all our queries and ensured that the few minor faults were addressed before we picked up the vehicle. Five stars for him!
Having never purchased a Kia before, we went directly to the KIA UK website to find out as much information beforehand. We were impressed by their 7 year Warranty and in particular their substantial free package of additional extras for their 'specifically selected' used cars which were advertised as ' KIA APPROVED '. (less than 18 months old and under 18000 miles). Having decided on the model we wanted, we were directed to their dealers' websites with this model in stock. The only one advertised as Kia Approved, within reasonable travelling distance was in Bristol. We were impressed with the car and decided to buy. However, when we asked for the package of free extras, we were told that the car did not qualify for these. The reason being....... This car was advertised as KIA FRANCHISE APPROVED and not KIA APPROVED. . Most people, I'm certain, would agree that to simply insert the word 'franchise' between 'Kia' and 'Approved', would appear to be a deliberate ploy to mislead the customer. They should at least make sure that this is clearly stated and explained on their website. I believe that this may even be in breach of the Trade Description Act. When I pointed this out to the Sales Manager, he agreed that it was misleading, but was adamant that he could do nothing about it For this reason we give the Bristol Branch 1 Star.
With regard to the car itself, (the Sportage 4) it is absolutely superb. The build quality, features, 7 year Warranty and price, in my opinion, cannot be matched by any similar SUVs For these reasons I give Kia 5 Stars!

Today we had a great buying experience at Wessex Kia Bristol. We knew before going exactly what car we were looking for, it was a Kia Sportage.
Upon arrival we found a nice selection of these, as usual with car buying you go with a pre concived idea of what you want.
Some where too expensive but had the right spec, and the cheaper ones were not to our needs.
Then the salesman introduced himself to us and believe it or not his name was Henry Ford, it was a surreal moment , he was named after probably the most famous American car maker of all time.
Having got over that moment, Henry got to work and within 10 mins, had found exactly the right car we wanted and what's more within our exacting price range.
Within an hour the deal was done, and we will be collecting our new car shortly. I must say that I thought that our salesman Henry was Bright and cheerful , and had extensive knowledge of the cars he was selling and that it was a pleasure to do business.

It's a main dealer. Reluctant to give discounts on list price unless pushed. Keen to sell commission earning add-ons that are better value if purchased elsewhere. Use CarWow wisely before visiting.
Having said that, the salesmen are friendly but seem to lack the autonomy to make deals without referring to a manager. Sales manager keen to pressurise you into buying add ons that earn commission. This is morally dubious.
If visiting then take note that it's essentially a huge greenhouse that gets hot and uncomfortable at times.
