We have decided to buy a family car (Landrover Freelander 2) and looked on line what's available. Considering that we decided to buy during unprecedented times of C-19, we thought it will be a very odd and long process. Yate Cars website had a lot to chose from and we have contacted the company. If you want to look at cars that are clean shiny and detailed then this is the garage for you. After looking around other garages and getting so disheartened I found this one on Google and it did not disappoint. Andy made contact after seeing the advert for my car on Autotrader. He didn't waste any time in coming down to look at my Freelander. Andy was very fair and reasonable and great to deal with. Advertised my Freelander 2 through Wizzle and was contacted by Andrew Ponter, from Yates, who drove to Paddock Wood in Kent to view it. Liked the car and offered a competitive price. When informed I still needed the car for a couple of weeks before my new car arrived, he said it was not a problem and would return to collect it at my convenience. Came up from Bristol today, arrived on time, in spite of problems on the M 25, checked the paperwork and paid the money, instantly, to my bank account. Best before-sales and after-sales service I have experienced: here's why I say this..... I visited YCS when looking for an Audi Q5. Even though it was obvious I was just looking and was not going to buy anything I was treated with utmost respect and patience. When I returned many weeks later, to view the car a second time, I was again treated with great professionalism. At every stage, as I explored whether to buy the car or not, I was treated in a most courteous and helpful way without any pressure to buy. I purchased the car and identified a problem immediately. I expected a bit of a battle to get YCS to accept responsibility but was delighted with the way they considered the issues fully and openly with me. YCS fully resolved the issues at no cost to myself. This is first class before-sales and after-sales service. I have bought many second hand cars, this is the best service I have ever received. I bought a car from YCS and never realised at the time that it was a very bad choice on my behalf due to my ongoing medical problems but the staff were really understanding and helpful in reversing the contract when I returned the car which was through no fault of theirs which I thank them for. I did lose a % of my deposit which was understandable and accepted as I did inconvenience them but everyone concerned were most helpful and if I am in the market to buy again I would return there.

Bought car,4th Dec faults found in on board computor, I agree they fixed it, Storage lid on top of dash didnt stay shut, got it fixed, they agreed to pay the garage invoice, but took three weeks to repay. Still have no V5 from Swansea, spoke to Swansea, they've never had the Part 1 back from Yate Car Sales, had to apply for replacement V5. spoke to Yate Car Sale, told there had been a mix up, and documents had only just gone off., Seems they need to upgrade there in house skills Car runs fine, had to have some parts replaced , parts should have been an advisary on October MOT.

Darron and Chris seem to me to be very straightforward, honest blokes. What struck me is that they have come to their conclusions regarding which cars work reliably, and which...less so! Honda is clearly the name of their game. With good reason, no doubt. It used to be that Toyota was the go-to reliable brand; there's a new King in town, it seems? I met them to see a traded-in MG ZT: nice car, but a bit of a "nice to have, but not necessary", I decided. Darron couldn't have been more helpful , open and honest. A refreshing change, from the usual car sales person! Would recommend, especially if you want an SUV and/or a Honda :-0
