We recently purchased a car for my daughter from Toyota Cardiff and wanted to share the fantastic customer experience when dealing with Leighton & James in their sales department. We initially purchased the vehicle in December 2019, but due to Covid and lock down restrictions we did not take delivery until December 2020. During this time Leighton kept in regular contact and fully updated, taking into account our own personal requirement to ensure we only took delivery when it best suited our circumstances (Car for Daughter who was unable to take lessons and test centres being closed). We agreed on delivery in early December and everything seemed to go to plan, then when we got home we noticed a slight difference in the specification of the original car bought and the one provided. Once this was communicated James took personal ownership of the issue and parts were ordered to rectify the issue. During this time our family contracted Covid and James kept in regular contact to enable him to book the car into the workshop, when it best suited us. Today the part was fitted and car cleaned - looked like new again!! I have worked in a customer facing role for 30 years and understand that a mistake can be made, I will then give a company/person the opportunity to understand how this happened and how it can be put right. From the outset James and his team acknowledged the error and put a plan in place to rectify it as soon as it could be done. I would have no hesitation in recommending Toyota Cardiff to friends and family, and look forward to dealing with them in the coming years for service & repairs.

I decided to "go green" October 2020, I had test drove a car with another dealer, but was disappointed. I called in Toyota Cardiff, on the off chance, and was met by Cameron King who was really helpful and encouraged to test the new Yaris hybrid, I took it for a drive it was fantastic, a must have. I have now had my new Yaris for about six months - love it, no regrets, happy motoring!! Not very consistent or accurate or particularly helpful. Phoned up for a replace key which included the central locking remote. Was quoted around 28.00plus vat, was a little suspicious so I phoned again reiterating I needed the central locking fob. Yes that was correct they said, so imgine my surprise when I was presented with a price I'd 147plus vat for the remote and it would take 2 weeks but, they couldn't copy the key, not possible they said. Loosing the last key would render the car scrap as the module would need replacing. Now it's possible they are working under toyota coperate instruction but it's not very helpful to thier customers. The key, well my local market watchmaker copied it for 55 pounds and after some searching a locksmith in cumbran created a remote for 60 in 10mins. Contacted the email below but after week later I've had no reply.

Only went in to browse, present Skoda due for a change next year. Bought a new Toyota! Friendly, knowledgeable sales guy but not pushy. Had a test drive while he sorted out returning old car and finances. We didn't have to do anything and got a great deal. Better car for less money, all fast and efficient. Highly recommend. Went in yesterday (4th May) to testdrive a Rav 4 for a couple of hours as my current Motability vehicle is due to be changed. Dealt with Gary who was very friendly, took time to explain the controls to me, then let me get on my way. On returning to the garage I again spoke with Gary who answered all my questions regarding spec etc. Gary wasn't pushy in the slightest, unlike some salesmen I've encountered. Gary seemed genuinely interested in me and my needs from a vehicle, rather than pushing to get a sales figure on the board. My only gripe (but it wasn't enough not to give 5 stars) is the apparent lack of car parking spaces/lack of signage advising where to park. All in all my visit to Motorline Toyota was a very pleasant, calm, relaxing experience. All that's left to do now is decide on a colour and spec for my next Motability vehicle.

I popped into Motorline Toyota Cardiff this morning to have a rear sidelight fitted and a new battery inserted in my spare key fob. There was no hesitation in undertaking the work required. I am just a bit disappointed with service today as it’s usually outstanding but we had to wait an hour for a courtesy car and they knew we needed one and knew we were coming in today and then when we picked it up there was little to no petrol in it and the petrol light was on so we also had to put petrol in it as well This isn’t good customer service in my opinion and discourages you when you want to change the car We are on the Motability scheme and we are both disabled so I think they should be a bit more organised when they arrange these services.

Nice staff lots of cars to look at easy to find indoors has a one way system in place because of the virus. Parking was difficult because of the large volume of cars stored. But this should get easier I was told as stock gets sold etc .The lock down causing the problem .

I bought a Mazda CX 5 from David in Cardiff Motorline in January which developed a fault that Toyota were unable to diagnose, the Covid-19 crisis then took over so some understandable time elapsed with little contact. Motorline agreed for my car to be sent to Mazda in Newport for a diagnosis, once diagnosed the David sanctioned the work to be carried out at Mazda and footed the complete bill without question. Was at a crossroads with Electric but I don't think we are quite there yet though it is inevitable we will all be driving electric in 10 years or so. This was the best deal for me Hybrid as it's both electric and petrol and drives superbly well. Fact that It looks to die for is a bonus Rav4 CH-R. I was dubious about trading in my 8 year old mini convertible and had a look around a few garages before arriving at Motorline Toyota. I had read great reviews on the Toyota Aygo and Yaris and want a car thats reliable with all the mod cons but also economical.
