Reviews of Citroën

This is the place to go for Citroen, MG and Peugeot in Colchester
I have dealt with Tolleys since 2012, and I really cannot fault them at all. We have purchased three cars from them and never had a problem. The service plans are on point and the dealership is great.
The service staff are always happy to help.
An amazing place to buy a new or used vehicle.

Friendly staff on service reception. I went in to have my locking wheel nuts changed, as lost the key. That was done very quickly.
However, earlier that week the internal cockpit fan had died, and so I asked for an estimated price on repairing that. I was informed that it would be £108 just to look at the car, and find what the issue was. I was given various most common issues with this problem, including resistor faulty, fan motor or wiring harness.
Any of these possible issues started at around £300, and increased to up to £700.
I left feeling very disheartened, and waited for a few weeks, until my local garage workshop opened up again after the lockdown.
Surprisingly, it was the resistor, and it cost me the princely sum of £133 in total. No charge for "having a look". I know that main dealers bang on about genuine parts, but my car is a DS4, on a 64 plate. Any parts are good enough on a car this old.
I guess the best advice is steer clear of main dealer workshops unless your car is under manufacturer's warranty.
And even if it is, in my experience, they try very hard not to fix the problem, and fob you off with excuses.
So, if your car is more than 3 years old, stay away from the main dealer, unless you have a money tree in your garden!
