Great technical advice and top quality customer service. I bought an AGM battery from HE several years ago, I recently completely discharged the battery and subsequently sought advice from HE. Free of charge they reconditioned the battery and provided a report on its condition saving me the cost of a replacement (circ. £170). HE weren't the cheapest when I bought the battery but their advice and customer service is first rate - very pleased that I bought my battery from them. Good to support a local business.

Good replacement batteries for an APC brand UPS. An auto test indicated that my SLA battery pack in UPS was 'past it's best' and needed replacing. The twin Yuasa cells supplied were perfect for my situation. Found the recommended high price OEM option from APC, but figured, as most SLAs were probably made in China nowadays, that I could find reasonable quality alternatives at a lower price. Searching online I found Hardwarexpress who seemed competitive and offered a brand (Yuasa) I had heard of and used previously. Twin cells arrived reasonably promptly. These were easy to patch together (into one 12v pack) and replace in my APC power unit. DIY job completed in a few minutes. Instructions straightforward and everything works fine.

Needed a pair of batteries for a stairlift found I could get unknown brands without the fireproof case cheaper but once you work out delivery I decided it was worth paying a bit more for the full spec market leading brand as the price at Hardwarexpress was good and delivery was 3 days but actually arrived the next day ( the cheaper ones also had long delivery times as were coming from Spain or Holland ) so very pleased good price and great service.
