Updated review 1 Looks good, wasn't open at the published hours. But stuff happens so I'll visit again. 2 visited again during the week and it was a pleasure to meet Ian and also watch him sell one car and carry out the pick up by the buyer of another. Each person was treated with care, humour and thought. No question to small. All the cars were excellently prepared and described, priced well to my eyes. In fact I tested then bought my 1st Porsche that day as well and haven't regretted it at all. One of the very, very few car dealers that I will definitely be returning to. Heartily recommended.

Ian made my experience of buying a car so wonderful I can't put into words .proper down to earth and honest which one finds very difficult to find these days .I very rarely recommend anyone as sometimes it can have negative repercussions. But in this case I f anyone wants to buy a Porsche motor car Ian is definitely the man I would recommend. The car I went to look at in a view to purchase was in absolutely unbelievable

I bought a 911 996 C4S from Ian in August 20. I had been to visit the car twice before deciding to purchase and like others have said the experience at JR Motor Company is a great one, no hard sell but plenty of information and advice if you need it. Ian was always very helpful and the showroom was great, a real mix of stock, and all in excellent condition. Once I had agreed to purchase my car Ian was really helpful and communicated with me almost every day for a week until I was able to pick the car up (despite him being on holiday at the time!). 4 months on, my car has been great and I have loved every minute of owning it. I did have one issue with it in the first week where the steering column lock had seized (it is a 16 yr old car with 2 previous owners, so had probably only been moved twice in its life) and I could not lock it back in place - I spoke to Ian over the phone and he arranged and paid for it to be fixed at my local specialist centre as I live over an hour away from his dealership. No fuss and all sorted immediately. I would definitely recommend Ian and JR Motor company and look forward to buying again in the future.

If you love Porsche cars, and especially modern 911’s then this specialist is well worth a visit. I’ve known and dealt with Ian over the past four years and he’s become someone that I not only trust to buy cars from, but have called upon for advice on a number of occasions which he is always willing to give, even when it involves potential purchases that are nothing to do with him. This time around I wanted another 911 from Ian and, as ever, he was more than happy to talk me through what he had and try to match up a car to my needs or, as he put it, go and find me another one if he didn’t have something I wanted - and I think that’s the difference with this true Porsche Specialist, there really is no ‘big sell’ or pressure, and nor is there an insistence upon making a quick decision, it’s all very relaxed, informed and geared up to you. It’s unusual in that you end up feeling it’s truly a buyer-led process rather than a sales-led one. For these reasons I really can’t recommend JR Motor Co highly enough, along with the fact there’s always a great selection of cars available for sale and in preparation (give them a call, don’t just go by what’s listed on the website as there’s always a few more good ones in the pipeline or undergoing pre-sales prep). Can say with some certainty that this latest car won’t be my last from Ian and I know when it’s time to sell he will be the first guy I call too.

Ian is a true gentleman and passionate about Porsche. I was lucky enough to buy a rather special 993 C4S from him, and he made sure that everything was just right with the car. I would have no hesitation buying from Ian again as I know he is a man of his word. The end result - a fantastic car and one very happy customer!

Bought my first Porsche from Ian. When i first saw the car it was meticulously detailed and looked brand new for a car of its age, as did all the other cars he had in stock. No hard sales pitch like you get with other dealers as it seems the cars sell themselves in the condition they are in and at the fair prices they are at. Having found the car I'd been looking for for some time on the website I rang Ian to enquire about it. He gave me such confidence in the car and his manner was so open and professional that I was happy to make the 200 mile trip from Devon to Coventry to collect a car I hadn't seen or test driven. I wasn't disappointed when I arrived, the car had been beautifully and carefully prepared and drove like a dream. Ian made everything about the sale smooth and pleasant and I drove my new purchase home with a huge smile on my face. The real test came a few weeks later when a bout of horrific weather revealed some problems (which I am quite certain he wouldn't have been aware of while he had it). I contacted Ian immediately for his advice. He couldn't have been more helpful, and arranged for the car to be dealt with and fully fixed at my nearest porsche dealer. He took all the stress out of it, no fuss and genuinely keen to resolve it ASAP and minimise my pain and grief. A true gentleman. It's always a worry buying from a dealer a long way from home but I can 100% recommend JR motor company, you couldn't ask for better service.

Well worth the journey up from Surrey. All the Porsches for sale were immaculately prepared and very keenly priced. Ian, the owner, was very helpful without being at all pushy, explaining everything I needed to know about what was to be my first Porsche, things I should look out for, what to be concerned about and what not to be. His passion for Porsche is obvious from the stock. Six weeks on and I am very pleased with the car, a 996 convertible. 14 years old but it looks and drives like new. I would definitely recommend and most definitely would buy from him again.

Hi Ian sorry for the late review. So I met Ian over a year ago when I visited his showroom, Ian was great and just let me look around, it was as if we had known each other for years NO pushy salesman talk. Over the year I visited Ian quite a few times and he just was as friendly as the first time never pushing a sale. On my last visit I spotted the car for me and Ian knew that and gave me the keys to test drive the vehicle, at my own pace no rushing down the road and back like some dealers do. The Boxster 987 was purchased as a birthday present. Ian and his team went out of their way to prepare the car to a very high standard that I have not seen for a very long time WELL DONE GUYS. I did have a couple of issues that without a second thought and the usually fobbing off once the car is sold by some dealers. Ian had resolved at PORSCHA WERKS who I must say are Great guys. So to sum up THIS has to be the one of the BEST BUYING EXPERIENCES that we have had for a long time. Why can't All dealers be like this Place. I recently bought a 997.1 C2S from JR Motor Company and it is a genuine quality car! Great customer service and aftercare too. I subsequently had it checked out by a different Porsche specialist and they literally could not find anything to repair! Obviously every car is different and you need to do your due diligence, but I am very happy.
