Such a fantastic experience after several months of searching for the perfect used car. A fair price was given on my part-exchange and the vehicle I bought is as described. Lots of second hand cars to view and no one chasing us for a sale. A car we saw on the website was not on show, so maybe ring up before your visit. Showroom was nice and free drinks: tea, coffee, squash d water was available. Several members of staff were talking to customers. 1 person on reception. No one came to chase us for a sale, which was good, but also bad as we had several questions. We hung around for a whilst, but gave up in the end and left. So again, worth a call before you go if you want to guarantee someone to speak to.

On the day of my car going In the staff were very friendly and helpful and got me on my way in a timely manner with a courtesy car. The next day however upon discovering I had left items in the car that I needed for work (my own fault of course) I attempted to recover these items from the dealership only to be told that the car had already gone out and that I should come back after 5. This means that the car I had was not checked or cleaned between customers and to be honest the staff there couldn't seem to care less.

I recently bought an approved used car from the Coventry branch of Listers Volkswagen. The car was in fantastic quality, had clearly been well maintained and was very good value for money. I contacted the store to ask about finance options and the salesman, Andy, was incredibly helpful and provided clear information without making me feel under pressure to make a decision. Andy was able to answer all my questions from the finance options to questions about the car itself and everything in between, this was much appreciated as it’s my first time buying a car and so I had quite a few questions. I was able to pick the car up at a time that was convenient for me and easy to arrange. When I arrived I was met at the door by Andy and he made every effort to make the experience as pleasant and hassle-free as possible, and did a great job of explaining all the technicalities to me. He was friendly and honest throughout the process which made me feel more confident about buying from him. I was able to test drive and inspect the vehicle at my own pace, there was no feeling of being rushed throughout the process. Once purchasing the car, I was given contact information and made aware that I could contact the dealership with any issues/questions I may have which I appreciate massively as this is not always the case in the retail industry. The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. I am a very cautious car buyer - I’ve had bad experiences. Jonathan Edward was so kind and patient with me and the multiple questions I had about the vehicle. Any reservations I had were addressed and I felt no pressure at any time, either to buy the car or to add any dealership extras. I know that all dealerships prefer finance but even so Jonathan didn’t bat an eyelid when I announced we would not be needing it. There were a couple of imperfections to the bodywork which were rectified to a great standard before we viewed and all the servicing etc had been done prior to viewing and handover. We travelled over 100 miles to view the car and Jonathan made sure it was completely ready so we didn’t have to go up twice. Of course there are dealerships nearer to us but the quality of the car offered was superior and priced reasonably at Listers VW Coventry. I had been looking for many weeks online and some dealerships were offering vehicles that hadn’t had the proper servicing done. One dealership (still a VW approved vehicle) offered that I could pay for the cambelt, which was overdue, to be done before I purchased the car…I don’t think so! Despite the distance I would certainly travel up again to Coventry to purchase our next car and won’t hesitate to recommend this dealership to our family and friends, some of whom live a bit nearer.

I trade in my Ford Ka as part exchange for Volkswagen Passat GTE Advance used approved car . The staff is very helpful, explained to us in details and answered our questions clearly; it took only 4 days to swap the cars and to get all the paper work done . In the unveiling day the GTE was shining like a star, had full petrol tank and the electric battery ready to run 30 miles in electric mode only, but the most important part is that the car had 142 checked points to make sure its safe to drive and make me feel safe driving it. Really helpful, efficient and friendly people on the commercial vehicles sales side. Unfortunately no stock availability for some considerable time. Transporter 6.1 is pretty poorly equipped and expensive compared to its competitors. However it has more cabin space than a vivaro/expert/dispatch and a better ride than a transit custom. For the same money however you can have air ride on the transit, and retrimmed cab. With change for a couple of years fuel.

This was my first time buying a brand new car with PCP finance and I was quite nervous, turns out I didn't need to be! Ryan walked me through everything and helped get the monthly payments down to a price which suited me, I was never pressured into anything and the whole journey was smooth from start to finish. I was originally part exchanging but found that my car needed too much spending on it to repair meaning I had to take this out of the deal, this was no problem at all and Ryan re-did all the paper work without any problem. I was later informed that the customer car park is properly managed which is reassuring. Fantastic experience buying a new VW car at Listers, Coventry. Michael (our salesman) was extremely knowledgeable about the car, very patient with us on our test drives, and importantly extremely pleasant and straightforward to deal with in striking that deal! He even took the trouble post-sale to demonstrate some of the capabilities of the car (eg active cruise control etc). Only negative was the "pressure sell" on buying extra insurance (e.g. gap insurance etc) on day of collection (not by Michael), which we managed to avoid. This did, sadly, take away some of the enjoyment of collecting our new car. However we are thrilled with our new car and it ticked all our boxes. Thanks again to Michael for his very sensible advice and experience.

However, ,because it is an older model parts are not normally held in stock. My wife died some years ago, but I still use the car as a run about, as it has only completed 71 000 miles, and still, runs extremely well. My other vehicles are Jaguars, but for local journeys I use the VW as it is a nuisance to get the jaguars out of the garage..
