Nice place with welcoming staff. As with all places it is the staff who make it either a great experience or not, and this was great for me. Car was well prepared and all the paperwork was ready when I arrived. I was in and out in about an hour. Definitely recommend this place for being easy to do business with. I am a very picky customer but even with my own high standards I could not fault this place.

On the positive side the dealership is well kept and inviting, kept up to date with time frame regarding the new car being built and shipped. Thankfully I was able to secure one before they ran out of semi-conductors/microchips. Darius is pleasant and knowledgeable when it comes to the sales side of life and the vehicle types, unfortunately software issues to do with the Volvo on call system were unable to be dealt with on the day despite numerous phone calls and walks back and forth to the service team. Vehicle was prepared to a high standard with all accessories fitted as per the build request and supplied fully charged and with plenty of fuel to get me home and back to the dealer when they call me in to sort the software glitch.

I am not local to the area and did not purchase my vehicle from this dealership, however after consulting them when an issue arose with my new car I found them to be helpful, courteous and the communication was excellent. After a disastrous experience trying to buy a new XC40 ( purchased elsewhere), I visited the service department with some trepidation. I had a couple of minor concerns with my 2 month old vehicle and expressed these concerns to Paige. She listened sympathetically and booked the car in for inspection. This inspection was carried out yesterday. The service I received from the service department , both technician and Paige (service advisor), was excellent. I hope the sales department can improve their standards of service to match those of the service department.

Our 09 reg C30 had been off the road for almost 2 years. I contacted the service team at Volvo Derby and arranged for a service and MOT. A number of issues were identified and rectified. This included a leaking windscreen which was repaired free of charge by Volvo. The service team were very helpful, kept us up to date with pregress and were always courteous. We won't hesitate to take our other Volvo there later this year.

I have had several Volvos over the past 10+ years and do over 30,000 miles per year. I have always found the Derby service team excellent. In particular Trevor and Paige. Communication has been good, and they have accommodated a loan car where possible . ( Although you could always do with some more ! ) The quotations for work have been well explained, justified and fairly priced for a main dealer.

My car started with a sticking clutch and after getting messed around by so many other garages Volvo derby went above and beyond from start to finish. They rectified the problem , fully checked the car over and included a detailed video So I could see for myself this included tyres , brakes, suspension and bushes etc. Volvo derby will be first point of call for anything car related . fantastic service ! Again, Trevor was extremely helpful & professional by booking my V60 in for last minute cambelt change. Trevor allowed me to drop my car off the day before as I have a newborn baby & getting across to derby first thing would’ve been nightmare. As always, I was kept up to date with the job progress by a video link with suggested advisories. My V40r went in for a recall and came back with eml check. They agreed to check if it was related to the recall work, informed me it wasn’t but that they have had approval from good will to fix free of charge the egr valve and cooler. Dealt with Paige mainly who was wonderful and friendly throughout. I absolutely love my car, bought 2nd hand 3 years ago and was so worried about what the light would mean. The Derby team have helped amazingly. Much appreciated, thank you. Only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that it is quite difficult to speak to service department because either no one picks up reception number or no one is available when they do pick up.

Due to the COVID pandemic I was unable to test drive or view my choice of car, but the team did everything they could to help my purchase, from a video of the car I wanted, Teams video call to go through my purchase and update emails and calls from Tom. The day I picked up my car was safe and thorough. Great customer service from Tom and made me feel a valued customer. The car itself is a dream!

Extremely pleased with the service I've received from Marshall's Derby on my S90. It was due it's 12 month service just a we were hitting lockdown although under on miles. They got written agreement for me from Volvo that it would not affect the warranty as long as was serviced early on return to reopening. Paul Preece contacted me in advance of their return to pre-book me in and on the arranged day my concerns around Covid-risk were taken away by the efforts they'd gone to in order to ensure a risk-free environment. The service was carried out promptly and with no fuss, a video sent to confirm all good and it was very clean when I collected it.... all just good old-fashioned service. Sensible value too. As the Volvo S90 is a lease car it goes back in Dec and looking to buy a near-new XC40/60 and the sales team are looking for the right spec and colour for me. I am confident that if they find something then it will be right and I'll be an ongoing happy customer. Very happy to recommend them and shout out Paul Preece who is both very efficient but also a very nice and thoughtful fella, keep up the good work Marshalls :-)

Visited Marshalls of Derby looking for an update to my 12 year old XC70. The salesman who greeted us was Tom Read, who proved to be both very pleasant and knowledgeable about the range of cars available. I was shown a V90 Inscription from their Volvo Selekt Range and we came to an agreement on the price. (I was not looking to part exchange my old Volvo). Collected the car the following week, at the time specified and all works having been carried out as promised. I wanted a car with a spare wheel, but when I got the vehicle home, I noticed the car jack was missing, which a quick call to Tom sorted a new one. All in all the service was excellent and I will certainly use Marshalls again when either this car (or my wife's XC90 requires changing and I can't recommend a better person to deal with than Tom.

I bought a car from Arnold Clark, the battery said it was low battery charge from day 1, AC put it on a bit of charge but it stipll kept showing, they told me to go to a Volvo dealer as I don't have the source to sort it out myself. Marshall was very kind, said they'd look into it, so I'm booked in already, and my warranty should still be active.
