What an awesome experience. I was sceptical about buying a car that I hadn’t seen due to living in Newcastle but your sales executive Chris Langham made sure this was a seamless purchase. Everything was perfect from the quotation for trading in 2 cars to the cost of the new car, the logistical issue where he arranged delivery with 2 guys to take 2 cars back to derby and the overall communication which was fantastic. I have had a few bad experiences with car dealers over the years but I Am pleased to say that Younus Sohail at Stratstone Derby has reversed that trend. I was very sceptical about doing a long distance purchase of my new 435x Gran Coupe as I live over 250 miles away. But Younus was quick to respond to my enquiry ,He was quick to get me a video and pictures of thecar. He has a great knowledge of the BMW range and he is obviously very passionate about BMW in general. We were able to chat about our past cars and he understood what I was looking for in a car. We were able to have a good Teams meeting and went through all the paperwork and I feel I got a good deal . Once the purchase was confirmed he kept me up to date with the progress of the car as again I was wary of travelling for 5 hours and to not find the car ready but it was . Well done to the valeted and detailer for cleaning the car inside and out and applying the paint guard. THe car was immaculate. He also knew I Was in a hurry to start my 5 hour journey back to Scotland and did his best to get me away ASAP. Well done to Younus and I Hope you get the recognition you deserve at Stratstone Derby

Second time in using BMW Stratstone Derby for a purchase (although it’s over 2 hours away from where I live) dealt with Younus both times and cannot fault the service. Called in at Derby BMW today on spec, unfortunately the car we were interested in had gone, but had a look at a few others. Show room was busy so had a short wait. Receptionist was great found us comfy seats, got us drinks and checked back with us. We saw Nathan, one of the managers, he admitted he didn’t spent a lot of time on the showroom floor but was very knowledgable. Great to see the whole team including managers roll their sleeve up when customers are waiting. Nothing was to much trouble and we came away with a few options and a test drive booked. Being let down by my local BMW dealer on an iX3 I ordered in January I was left with the dilemma of trying to source a New electric iX3 at short notice, initially I thought I would have no chance! Alan Prior - 1st Class - Credit where credit is due! Had the pleasure of dealing with Alan Prior of Stratstone Derby last week purchasing a used BMW X3. After having a very recent poor experience with a well known used car "supermarket" I have not been full of excitement starting the process off again with another dealer. However, what a pleasant experience start to finish with Alan. The level of detail over the phone from him from first enquiry was 10/10. We went over a lot on the phone and e-mail to ensure I did not have a wasted journey to the dealership which is a fair distance from my home. There was zero fuss with my part exchange and just pure professionalism throughout the whole transaction, no hard sell. I am a self confessed petrolhead and was nice to engage with a car salesman for once who had a very keen interest in cars rather than the usual reselling of finance products. A mistake was made during manufacturing in the US. We made an initial appointment by telephone, with Stratstone BMW in Derby to set up a test drive in a BMW X1. Wayne took the call and I immediately got the impression that he was not only keen to set this up but also in a way that made it personable as if we were his only customer. Obviously not the case as when we arrived a few days later at the dealership, there were many other customers, however, with limited staff (due to Covid) the team were all doing their best to provide the best level of service. Coupled with a temporary site for operating at, also clearly lead to additional challenges.Although the subsequent demonstration drive of the car was very good, we were left a bit undecided. We returned home to assess our needs regarding a different car and thought about the BMW X3. After another phone call to Wayne, he soon arranged for us to look at an X3. There were a few minor problems in getting the car to the dealership from their preparation centre but Wayne was on the case and kept us appraised of the delay. Although we had planned a test drive this was now not possible as we were out of time and had to return home. A further visit was scheduled for a couple of days later but during this time we had already decided the X3 would be the car for us. When we arrived at the dealership, Wayne was ready for us to go through the order process. Although this is not by any means a short process, we were kept suitably supplied with tea and coffee. Although we did not anticipate the time it takes to order a new car (the actual order process, regulatory, funding and a host of other options available) we felt the experience was very well managed with a fine sense of humour to ease our way through.It is with thanks to Wayne that we have now ordered our new car and look forward with anticipation for delivery in the summer.

Most people that take time to leave a review it tends to be a negative review and the attention that I have received I felt the need to share my experience From my initial enquiry which was handled with professionalism led me to test driving a car and the help I received from the the sales professional Alan Prior I dont think he could have done a better job as I decided to buy the car. Buying the car was only the start of the process that was dealt with smoothly and I was kept informed by Alan throughout the process. Unfortunately when arranging to collect the car Alan made me aware that he wouldn't be able to personally carry out the hand over and even apologised but all his colleagues stepped up and I felt completely looked after - In fact Alan had even taken the trouble to call in to work to pass on his best wishes to me and again sent his apologies for not being able to be their for the final handover. I bought some bmw Floating wheel caps online from a main dealer. When the weather went cold one of the bmw caps fell off whilst driving (mechanism remained on the wheel). I then went around my car checking the other 3 and all 3 caps came off in my hand with little to no force. After inspecting them I noticed they were bonded on with some weak silicone and the cold weather must have shrunk the glue and caused the caps to come off. I was advised to take them to my local dealer as they are covered under 2 years warranty. I went to BMW Derby and the customer rep (michael I think) kindly checked my paper work and I showed him the wheel caps (he agreed they have failed and should be replaced) but he said my invoice was unfortunately incomplete (car not linked). So, I went in the next day with the correct invoice and left them with Jessica to pass on. A week later I heard nothing, so I went in once again. Jessica then booked me in for the next day and ordered the replacement caps. I left the car with them and after an hour I got a call saying the technician says theres no way the caps came off themselves and they must have been forced off!, why would I vandalise my own car?? (although they conveniently offered to sell me the new ones that were ordered in). I had been in so many times I just got fed up and collected my car as it was. The photos attached show that the glue is still intact and they were not "ripped off". As a motorsport quality inspector myself, I feel like BMW Derby have let the brand down and I have no trust in their warranty procedures especially after this fiasco with £60 wheel caps! **UPDATE 01/05/2021** Michael Broad arranged for my car to be taken in again and the caps finally sorted. He did a great job and personally made sure the caps were actually replaced this time.

I ended up buying a car from Stratsone BMW Derby as it was the only place I could find what I wanted. this meant that most of the transaction was done via email and phone which is many cases is a true test of a companies ability to help a customer as you cant monopolize a persons time by just sitting in front of them. Emily, the Salesperson who helped throughout the process was polite and easy to deal with, sorting all of my concerns and even changing the number plates for free to speed up the process and getting the prep folk to pull off some of the many M badges for me as part of the handover detail Alex and Rachel the handover team managed to get the car ready in record time and work to my requirements rather than imposing any 'policy' on me. This made it the easiest car changing process i've ever had and one i'd repeat in a heartbeat. in terms of constructive feedback: the phone IVR system is painfully complex! but its worth the faff to speak to a human there. I would like to state how amazing Rob Hamilton at Derby Stratstone has been. We initially had some issues with our X7 resulting in us leaving BMW. I have always bought from main dealers. We made the mistake of going to a 2nd hand 3rd party dealer which almost cost us the lives of myself and my family when an alloy wheel imploded on the road due to loose bolts in the wheel. We are so lucky to be alive. Even though we had given our X7 back, Rob allowed us to keep a courtesy X5 until we find a new vehicle. After our disaster and close call yesterday, Rob has yet again continued to allow us to drive the X5 as we are currently carless. Not only has he gone way and beyond expectation, we will also now be coming back to BMW Stratsone. Service like this doesn't exist anymore and we are extremely grateful. Be careful buying a car from none main dealers. There is so much corruption that it could end up costing your life just to save a few £££ Thank you Rob. World class service.

AVOID, was the first thing I had in my mind when I read the reviews about this place first time. But a friend of mine said that he spent £90k on a BMW here and had a great experience. So I thought, I’ll visit the place and see what happens. I was met by Lauren, she arranged viewing and a test drive, which even with this COVID situation went very well. Lauren gave me plenty of time to look around the car, no stress on how long the test drive was going to take. All good so far. The car did need additional work doing to bring it to standard (if I bought the same car privately I could not get anything done). The waiting time, communication with Lauren and updates were great. The car was sorted, paperwork all in order and now I’m a happy owner of my new-second hand BMW. The car came with a good price, one year warranty, and a great grin on my face. I hope the follow up support will be good (will keep you informed). All in all, the BMW Stratstone Derby has a great representative in Lauren, no nonsense, practical and with honest approach. I had been looking for a certain model of used BMW for a while and found this company via AutoTrader. I went on their website and called them. Immediately I received a very good customer service and they offered to reserve the car for a test drive and place a small refundable deposit that can go towards buying, if I liked it. Soon after I received a call from Chris at the showroom who took the time to introduce himself and before I arrived assured me that the car would be ready to drive. On arrival I was greeted by a wonderful member of staff, Lauren, who made me and my family feel very welcome offering us free coffee and tea, biscuits too!, She then took me for a test drive. I have had several test drives in the past but she made an extra effort to properly explain all the features in vehicle and not knowing the area took me on varied style of roads to experience the vehicle performance and handling. On return I met with Chris who again was very welcoming and he was very professional and had a positive manner in explaining the financial options and took extra care to ensure he met my budget. The entire car buying process can often be stressful and I have had sales teams in the past trying to confuse me with options and add features without explaining what they are. Chris was completely different and I walked away from agreeing on the purchase saying to my family that was actually really enjoyable and easy. Chris and Alexandria kept me informed throughout the entire process and great communication from them. When it finally came to collecting the car I had a very friendly member of staff Rachel, who again made us feel very welcome and made the collection process smooth and effortless. I can’t recommend Stratstone Derby enough and considering the days I visited were busy weekends, full of customers, all the staff ran a very efficient and excellent service. We had been searching for a BMW X5 M50D with the spec we wanted for months and came across one from BMW Stratstone Derby via Autotrader. I immediately rang them and asked to be able to come for a look/test drive. Living in york and due to work commitments over the summer months we were unable to get to Derby for 2 weeks to be able to view the car. They accommodated this for us and held the car until we were able to get to the showroom. I dealt with Alex via email before our appointment who was extremely friendly and gave me all the information i needed. We were planning on driving the car away the same day (subject to all being well) and were sent all the necessary paperwork before our appointment so the car was ready for us to drive away that day. Once we got there we were met by Alex, who is lovely, and she discussed what would happen and who we would be dealing with. Josh and Zack who dealt with us on the day were great, very friendly, funny and explained everything in great detail. We loved the car and wanted to purchase it there and then and they made it a very easy, pleasant and smooth transaction! I can't recommend them both enough, very professional and nice guys! As my car was being booked in for its first service she explained all about the 'Traffic Light' health check that would be carried out prior to the scheduled service. I'll start with the only criticism I have of the dealership which possibly could be my fault. I was charged £495 for a paint protection process which I cannot recall agreeing to. However, in retrospect I am not too bothered as I bought a very low mileage I3 which I absolutely love and at a really good price and it might backfire on Stratstones ! I had every intention of buying the new I3 in 2019 and might not if this car looks as good as new next March ; ) I dealt with Chris Whitmore who couldn't have been more helpful as were his two lady colleagues whose names I cannot recall ( they will know who they are ). I was fetched from the station and treated in the most excellent way, bearing in mind I was spending a lot less than I suspect the average client does. Thank you all.

An absolutely pleasure from start to finish. Clear pictures and a detailed description along with an honest APR quoted on Autotrader. Called and dealt with Beth Codd. She was by far one of the most approachable and friendly member of sales personnel I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in the industry. We made the journey to Derby and saw the vehicle parked outside ready for a test drive. The car was washed and exactly as described. On the test drive Beth made us both feel at ease giving helpful pointers as to what tech she thought would be of most use to us. Upon collection the vehicle was valeted to the highest standard and Beth had indeed herself given it the final once over to make sure it was correct. Ordered and collected a new car from Stratstone and the experience was first class from start to finish. I needed to buy one from stock and they were very flexible in finding an appropriate vehicle and offering a great deal. I dealt with Wayne who was exceptionally courteous and friendly at all times, despite being incredibly busy. I was a little cautious about dealing with Stratstone after reading the reviews however, salesman Steve Brewster and the team have been nothing but professional and accommodating. Steve is easy to deal with. Honest and straightforward.. A sale is of course what he is after but he is willing to negotiate to get it.. without all the umms and arhhhs. The rest of the team have been very helpful getting me in for services and tyre changers at short notice. I will be back. If your a bit concerned like I was, go and speak to Steve.. BMW service is great. Some of the salesman have a air about them which I find a put off but the service desk is great. Bottom line is you are at a BMW branch which is always good. Parking is very tight though. Its better to park across the road.
