Service from Sanjay was excellent. He was very patient and found us the car we wanted at a good price. On pick up he explained the various aspects of the car and all the gadgets very well and patiently. We felt we could trust him which is essential when buying a vehicle.. Not driven it much to dated but very happy with it so far. It would be great if the salesmen had their own dedicated phone as we had to wait a while on a couple of occasions when they tried to track him down. I had a great experience with buying a used car from Vertu Honda Derby, and this was down to dealing with Sanjay Kareer, he was very informative and helped me through the whole process, without the cringy hard sale techniques. I was very specific on the model and trim and colour of the car I wanted, and as soon as one was available, Sanjay arranged for it to be delivered to my local dealership for me to test drive. It only took a week from finding the car to me collecting it. There was a bit of damage to the rear bumper of the car, but Vertu said this will be fixed, free of charge, and I will be provided with another car, whilst the repair work is carried out. Couldn’t ask for more, thank you Sanjay for making my experience stress free and a pleasure.

We bought our new, used car from Sanjay @Vertu Honda in May 2022. This was one of 3 garages I called with similar examples and as a distance buyer, the relationship I build with the person on the other end of the phone is important. If Sanjay said he'd do something, he did it and he made the process really easy from start to finish. He was able to answer all my questions and those that he needed to check on, he came back to me within the time frame promised. I liked the video walk around, the personalised video guided tour 24 hours before delivery and the overall vibe. There were lots of little things that have culminated in me being a happy customer.

Went to Honda, about a week ago to look at a 66 plate HR-V. The seat height was very comfortable, but it was the wrong colour. Aaron sat with us and found just the car for us at their Bradford branch. After getting it down here and organising a test drive a sale was agreed a week later. I went to view at 2016 Civic sport but also saw a 2017 version. Dan was very helpful and not pushy at all. I went in to test drive a Honda Jazz - I spoke to Sanjay who talked me through everything in the car beforehand (as I had never driven an automatic). Sanjay then went through finance figures, giving me a couple of options. I went home to consider and rang him back within an hour to take the car. I picked it up a few days later and I love it! Leaving the company car scheme, as the government now wants a kidney to run anything that's not fully electric, I fixed a budget to buy a used car. After narrowing my search and to save my marriage, I got to a short list of seven. Calling each dealer in turn, seven became three. I then dropped the third as I had no experience with Audi, and not being able to test drive due to Covid, I decided to play it safe with something I knew. Of the two vehicles the one at Vertu was a year older and done 9k more miles. So why did I buy it? Firstly, the initial conversation with Sanjay Kareer was welcoming, helpful and informative. I had really only two questions, can you deliver and what is your lowest price? Both of which I came away with, but also a video tour and background on the car. Secondly, the cars overall condition was excellent. I link car condition, to careful ownership. Thirdly, the continued commitment from Sanjay. Nothing was too much trouble, making a further detailed video of the exterior to confirm the condition. Deal done, car arrived on a trailer, and it was even better than I expected. I have subsequently had multiple calls from Sanjay to ensure I am happy with the car, and offering help if needed. Vertu Honda overall are very good. Unfortunately I have recently had my usual service and MOT done where I was told the battery needed replacing. I said at the time it had only just been replaced. I provided receipt that the battery was purchased with AA when calling Honda breakdown in Oct 2019 (well within its 5 year warranty). When I was told to follow up with AA they stated that Honda should not have taken the battery out as that voids the warranty. Currently costing an additional £99. Whilst the situation is still unresolved. Honda have been really helpful and supportive, which has reduced the stress of the situation. For that reason I am very thankful. I think AA needs to take ownership for their faulty battery and do the right thing!

Finally picked up my 2019 Honda Civic Type R on Friday from Honda Vertu Derby!! 😁😁 What a fantastic dealership, and the best experience I've had when purchasing a vehicle. My salesman was Aaron Buckley....an extremely polite and well mannered young man...who was funny and engaging and made the whole experience an enjoyable one....from enquiry to an actual purchase. He was a total pro at his job....nothing was too much trouble....and given the fact it's a fairly new job to him....he excelled himself massively! We have just taken delivery of an almost new Honda Civic SE Plus. Its our second one and we love them - a great car with a great spec at a fairly reasonable price (new). This is our fourth Civic and we wouldn't have anything else, great engineering and attention to detail with a fabulous engine. What was different for us was that this is the first time we have used Vertu Honda Derby - we have had a service there which was so good we wanted to buy from them too - and we can say that experience was as good as the car. Richard's attention to detail was as good as the Civic's but more importantly he did it with a very pleasant, none pushy way. Very professional and very friendly, making us feel as though we mattered in the deal. We have taken out a Service Plan because we know we can trust them and in the unlikely event that something goes wrong we believe they will fix it. What's not to like?

The automation is there but very discrete, supportive, while taking the hassle out of driving. I was a little concerned that changing from a Civic to the Jazz would bring a lessened experience, but not at all. The showroom experience with Dan Lewin was just what I wanted it to be. Not pushy, informative and supportive. Buying a car is an expensive experience and Dan appreciated this was also quite stressful. The reception when I went to pick up the car was fantastic and theatrical. Everyone in the dealership was friendly from the cleaner (it was a little late in the day) upward to the Vertu CEO!

My husband and I were thrilled with the service we received at Honda Derby. Richard Hamson made the purchase of our new family Honda CR-V quick and easy. We went to view and test drive the car on Sunday and we were picked up from Derby train station by Richard on Tuesday. I was disappointed to find the car had done nearly 900 miles more than what was originally advertised, as mileage was one of our main reasons for purchasing. I wouldn't have minded as much if this had reflected in the price; but it wasn't. The road tax was also to be paid and although only £30; from previous experience when buying from a dealer, they have always thrown the tax in. The log book was also put in my husbands name which was incorrect but had we been asked and it not be assumed, this could have been easily avoided. My last niggle would be the amount of fuel in the CR-V when we drove it away - although half a tank, considering we paid full price by bank transfer I would have expected a full tank of fuel wasn't too much to ask, Richard did try his best to accommodate this but it seems his manager was the sticking point. Overall the service we received was good, and I would recommend Honda, Derby for your next purchase.

The finance deal and savings available were explained well by Vick, as was the urgency for accepting them as the offers were only available for a short time. Unfortunately the fact that the car had to be supplied the following week wasn’t highlighted until I had agreed to the deal and was told my preferred colour was not available in the timescale and, as waiting for one was not an option, I would have to have a colour that was available. This rather mired what is in fact a very reasonable offer that continues my 13 year association with Honda.

Went today with a few issues on my civic and saw James at the derby branch, he couldn't do enough for me, he had to speak to the people who I purchased my car from (motorpoint) to make sure they paid for the work seeing as I'd only had the car for a fortnight, luckily I took out extended warranty And after James spent most of the day emailing and calling them he managed to get them to pay for the work, I've just got to wait for the parts and then get the car in for the work and it's sorted James and his colleague I believe it was Meg also told me I had a service plan on my car with Honda until 2023, something mp failed to tell me or check at all, they didn't have to tell me this and I could've ended up paying more out to get my car serviced but they let me know which was good I'm now looking forward to getting the work done and enjoying my car, but tbh I shouldn't have had to do any of this if mp did their job properly in the first place Thanks to James's efforts I am getting my car fixed and mp are paying for it Definitely recommend using the derby Honda branch, I will definitely go there again. 14/06/2021 update to work on my car Another visit to Honda derby today, the car went in for the warranty work above, another great experience visiting James and his colleagues, First of all I was given a brand new Honda civic courtesy car with only 4 miles on the clock which was good of them, I'd also mentioned to James that I'd got another issue with the car, the undertray that stops all dirt and such going up to the engine had come loose and was scraping on the ground, mainly speed humps, he said he'd get them to look at it along with the warranty work Collected the car at 4:15pm and the car was all complete, they'd also taken the stock silver badge off the new grill and replaced it with my aftermarket black one I had fitted on the old grill, so it kept the black badges all round, so I was pleased with that, James also said they'd sorted the undertray issue and fastened it all up, The care and effort they put into dealing with customers is excellent, they're easy to talk to and they listen to what you have to say unlike other main dealers I have visited, I can't recommend Honda derby enough, they sorted all my problems I had with the car and they where very understanding, 11/10 for Derby Honda, excellent customer service and work.

We've not been without a Honda car since our first Accord in 1990 from Chatsworth, later to become Lookers and Vertu. Two Civics, another Accord and two Jazzs later we have our first Honda from Vertu, a CRV. To say that Honda is our manufacturer of first choice is understating things considerably but this is about our recent purchase experience with Vertu, having moved to Staffordshire where we bought our two previous Hondas. Returning to Chatsworth....Lookers....Vertu was well worth the extra travel distance because it felt familiar, friendly and comfortable. Sanjay Kareer handled our business and there wasn't a moment of concern or discomfort on our part, or of pressure or impatience on his. He was very easy to get on with, friendly but respectful and generous with his time. He also laughed at one or two of our attempts at humour and not many people do that! We got a smile and 'hello' from all of the staff we passed or made eye contact with and that's by no means the norm. We would say that Vertu Honda has got it right from a customer point of view so thank you and don't change anything.

It has been nearly 20 years since I took delivery of a car from a dealer. In the meantime I have been using a 2001 Honda Civic for the last 14 years. That car had been totally reliable and was still in very good condition. but I thought it was time to treat myself to another car. I had decided upon having crossover/SUV for a number of reasons. Due to this reliability of the old Civic a Honda HRV was high on my list to go and see. Sanjay at Vertu was a complete breath of fresh air compared to my experiences "20+ years ago. He listened carefully to what I wanted - a lightly used HRV and took a lot of trouble in researching for one in the Honda network which met my wishes. A test drive was offered and was so good I was able to drive a demonstrator to my home in order for it to pass the deal clincher - it must fit in my garage. Well it did and also proved to be very comfortable and a good drive too. Sanjay found me what I was looking for and the deal was done. Throughout the whole process I found Sanjay to be a very personable and a very helpful guy who was so willing to please. On handover of the keys he then spent at least an hour to explain how everything worked from the many controls available and even the installed sat nav etc. Overall an excellent experience at Vertu at Derby where other people around were very pleasant and created a none pressure atmosphere.
