Had an overall enjoyable experience buying my car here, Malcolm Sneddon was a pleasure to buy a car from. Bought a car nearly two years ago. Pleasant enough, decent deal and the car was as described. The staff member accompanying me on the test drive couldn't tell me much about the car though. Don't buy the service and MOT package. Recently tried to book one of the MOTs with 2 weeks notice, told they were fully booked for weeks ahead, meaning my car would be illegal for weeks. Not too bad considering it's Christmas, except I've already been sold the package, and paid for the package, so why create conditions where it's impossible for me to use the package? Not even at this branch but anywhere nearby. Offered a space an hour's drive away with a courtesy car, but the booking team weren't willing to cover the insurance cost of a courtesy car, so that's not on since I'd still be out of pocket. In the end I just paid for an MOT elsewhere. Booking team weren't interested in covering this cost either. Otherwise, pleasant staff and decent experience. EDIT: The Arnold Clark response includes the line "We'd always encourage the owner of the vehicle to be aware of the due dates for Servicing and MOT to ensure they are booked and carried out on time". This suggests in a slightly patronising way that I was at fault for leaving it too late for a booking. I'd argue that 2 weeks is plenty of notice. And even then, how would I know your waiting times were abysmal? Advice to management: A car sold with a service and MOT package should automatically have a booking slot available to use. Otherwise it's useless. The data is there, you should see that a car you currently lease to me is due an MOT, so make sure there's space for it. If you can't honour something previously agreed and sold, then arrange another party to provide the service instead of yourselves.

As a female buyer, I was not patronised or given the hard sell (as I have frequently experienced when buying cars in the past) and found the simplicity of the process a real positive. Very difficult days, but they are trying to offer as best a service as humanly possible. The drawback is that the location is a distance from local transport routes, and not being allowed to wait for the vehicle's service to be completed is not good at the moment. An improvement could be considered. The setup of an upper observation area would greatly enhance the customer feeling of confidence in their service.

I browsed online for a car that would suit myself and my family. Found one that we really liked and used the chat option online to have a discussion about viewing the car and taking it a test drive. All was so easy done and arranged within minutes. Through out the whole process we dealt with Andrew Chambers and he was absolutely amazing! Any queries or questions I had he was very approachable and very accommodating. We viewed the car and took it a decent run to get the feel for the car and all paperwork was sorted that day. 2 days later we picked up our car and got a little introduction of how some things in the car work and how to get things set up. We received curtsey phone call a couple of days after picking up our car from Andrew to make sure all was well with the car and was reassured that any problems we were to contact him. Whilst I’m happy with my purchase I was disappointed when no v5c appeared in the post as promised. Had to phone around the houses and eventually sent a v62 form to complete by DVLA. Don’t really understand how it’s gone missing and and why Arnold Clark can’t find a record of it when they say they send to DVLA by email. My first car purchase and probably would not go to this dealer again as found this all really daunting. Really disappointing service on a £12k spend. It’s seems once the after sales survey is sent out you’re on your own.

I received some bad news later in the year which meant I had to give the car up. This was a stressful time for me and my family and I didn't know what to do. Recently had the car serviced and repaired with Seat Service. The service advisers were more than friendly and went out of their way to make sure that the car was ready in time for collection. Advisers kept me updated throughout the process of the repair and explained everything in depth. Car was repaired first time and was also given a complimentary small vac and wash. I bought a Seat Ibiza from this dealership and I couldn't be happier! This dealership had a good range of vehicles and 5he prices aren't too bad either! The salesman Malcolm was a great help and I didn't feel pressured into buying a car when I wasn't ready and couldnt decide on which one I wanted. I was told to come back when I was ready and knew which car I wanted. Unlike the motorstores or other dealerships I didn't feel uncomfortable or pressured into buying something. Updated to say that Arnold Clark honoured the 2 month warranty outwith the 2 month time limit due to the problem being reported within 2 months and eventually fixed the blower control after failing to do so the first time. So it caused a lot of inconvenience but at least they did repair the fault at no cost. I bought a second hand Vauxhall Corsa from Seafield Peugot on 30th November and decided to take it to my usual mechanic as the engine was juddering horribly and the blower control couldn't be moved so demisting the windscreen was impossible. He found even more things wrong with the car and told me it shouldn't have passed its MOT in November. I took the car back to Seafield and it was in the service department for a week. The repairs were made and I collected the car on 15th December. I was very surprised that these issues weren't identified by Arnold Clark before selling it on and am angry that I and my family were unknowingly driving a car which had worn brake discs and pads, faulty coil pack/spark plugs and a crack in the drop link suspension, as well as a faulty blower control. There were no advisories in the MOT so we could potentially have driven it for a year before having it serviced again by which time the 2 month warranty would have expired. The work was done under warranty and I was reimbursed the cost of my mechanic's time but I would have expected a car to undergo a more rigorous inspection before selling it on as a roadworthy vehicle. Shortly afterwards I was sent an email with a customer service satisfaction survey but the link didn't work. I emailed them but was told they couldn't send me another link and to reply to the email with any feedback. I did so but have heard nothing since.

I called to book a test drive and was call back by Scott Boyle and from there on I was looked after by Scott like one of the family (no pushy sales tactic or hard sell). I was sent a personal video of the car which I found very professional. He then arranged at time and date for my test drive (which I was more then happy with) . We then got down to the business of buying the car, he explained all my finance option in a very professional manner so I under stood fully. Scott then made all the numbers work for me and I agreed to purchase the car. I purchased my 1st Car from Daniel Luby last Monday having passed my test the week before. I was a little nervous to say the least as I had obviously never done this before. I had my eye on the car I got for a number of weeks and was pleased to see it still there when I went to visit it in the showroom.
