Booked my Volvo in for a service, I was greeted nice and quickly and was pointed in the direction of the service desk. I was sent a video by the technician working on my car which was very helpful to see exactly what was getting fixed on my car. Walked in with no appointment and was welcomed by one of the managers as he walked by. He then went and let me see the used cars section and was no effort for him. He left me to look around and went and got a the salesman who made me feel even more relaxed and offered me a test drive. Macklin Motors make buying a car a painless, easy and enjoyable experience. I needed a reliable car for my work and I needed it that day. I bought a 5 year old Dacia Duster with 3 years extended warranty and a 3 year service plan. I did put a sizeable down payment on the car and the remainder on hp. Normally buying a second car on hp takes a couple of days before you can pick it up, but I wanted to take it away that day and Paul made it possible. Everybody at Macklin Motors were friendly, professional and a joy to deal with. I would highly recommend if you're looking to buy a new or second hand reliable car Macklin Motors is the place to go. I walked in the place at 10.30 am and drove out at 2.30 pm 👍😊🚘

Car is there currently for the past two weeks without an update on our car, there are showing two dash lights randomly but macklin motors hasn't been successful to identify the issue for the past half a year. Having had problems with my 13plate Hyundai ix35 I took it to Macklin motors Seafield Edinburgh’ after a day or 2 the service department could not find a fault after they initially thought it was an ecg fault the car was running perfectly once again? The service department obviously had correspondence with the sales department and had informed them I was on the look and had been shopping around for a new car! I received a video call from a young very well spoken member of the sales team (Connor ) who informed me he would be available on Saturday the next day to show me around new and used cars available or if I had any particular car in mind? Well during the video call he kindly showed me the all new Hyundai Tucson in the showroom that just happened to be the car I was most interested in and the very colour (pearl dark knight grey) I as after! Arrived for my appointment the following day’ Saturday and Connor was there to greet myself and husband who had chaperoned me for advice and support in my quest for my new dream car, I must add no pressure whatsoever put on me by Connor and the sales team as he showed us around new and used cars and let us no in depth what was available and waiting times etc regarding the order of a new car. I had my heart set in the showroom model but unfortunately wasn’t for sale ? Connor said I’ll have a word with my manager Callum, another very pleasant young man I must add, no boring sales pitch or pressure again from either Connor or Callum, as they said these cars sell themselves!!! As my husband spoke to Connor regarding new cars I took it apon myself to go directly to Callum in his office and ask politely could I please purchase the showroom Hyundai Tucson and after a few number crunching minutes and calls emails etc he said yes you can have your dream car!! After an offer for my old Hyundai which I may add was very fair he (Callum informed Connor he would keep my old Hyundai and I could drive away my dream car Hyundai Tucson premium in pearl dark knight grey on Tuesday. Absolutely fantastic service from these 2 very well mannered and polite young men; credit to themselves and s massive asset to the company with their pro active video call messages and speedy response to a problem that would have left me in the lurch for who knows how long ? Popped in last week to discuss upgrading from my i20. Dealt with Amy who was very professional, helpful, friendly and in no way pushy. Gave her my budget and despite not having anything appropriate in the showroom at the time that met me needs, found one down in England for me. I was a bit nervous about signing for a car I hadn't seen for myself but Macklin Motors were very understanding and said I didn't need to sign for anything until I had seen the car. They arranged for me to come in and see the car once it had been brought up and had it all ready for me to check that the car hadn't been owned by a smoker! When I went to pick up the car they realised there was a slight crack in the boot but the part was already ordered and I was told they would fix it for me. I appreciated their honesty. The communication I've received has been second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Macklin Motors to friends and family. In fact, I told my best friend of my experience and recommended she go and speak to them for her upgrade. She went up today and bought her first Hyundai - she had an equally as positive experience!

So, I’ve visited Macklin Hyundai branch to enquire about my Peugeot’s service schedule. The experience was almost perfect. The young gentelman I spoke to answered all my questions I had, he even kindly phoned Macklin West branch to find an answer related to servicing invervals and suggested I service my Peugeot there what made a perfect sense. His colleague however, sitting next to him, was visibly and clearly annoyed that I dared to come and seek an advice, kept starring at me throughout my visit, and, shortly before I left, made, out of space, a rude comment when I tried to find an answer to my last question ( suggesting I should speak to „service”). He was speaking to anoter client and I am not realy sure why he felt it was OK to jump, unasked, into my conversation with another adviser. This kind of attitude was quite intimidating. I hoped for some kind of decent attitude from well estabilished business before spending £200 odd pounds for a service but this attitude can and will put potential customers off.

Big thanks for the warm and friendly welcome from Paul who dealt with all Motability enquiries. He showed me around the highly acclaimed Hyundai Tucson model, I went ahead and indeed the SE Connect model, unfortunately after got home and showed a family member the car I had ordered, I noticed it wasn't the model I had seen in one of the videos on FB. I had to regrettably phone Paul back up, and after discussing it with him further, I had to cancel y order, I apologised to Paul for me having to cancel the card had ordered only 2 days previously. Don't be put off by giving them a visit at their Seafield showroom, where you will find many great looking cars/SUVS, you'll be greeted by warm and friendly members of staff.

After visiting one car sales room to another over several days desperately disappointed with the cars within my budget and the lack of good customer service, I eventually listened to my nephew and went along to Macklin motors. I was amazed at the no nonsense attitude. They found me a nice car within my budget,took me for a test drive, sorted out the small dents as promised and even delivered my new car to my door. The service was outstanding. Everything was so easy and the sales rep explained everything in detail but without all the unnecessary bumf. The after sales was great and the car has been everything they promised. The only reason I didn't give them a five star was because they don't budge on the price but did throw in a warrant worth £199. Would strongly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a used car.

Just got my new Tucson from here, The level of service is second to none, The car we ordered was at sea at the time of ordering it, And expected to get it 20-30 days later, Our old car broke down during the wait for it to arrive in the UK, So in a matter of urgency to get back mobile the dealership bent over backwards to help get us the car quickly as possible. And did it in 10 days of day of ordering. Amazing! Sorted out plates and paperwork was stress free and options and everything was thoroughly explained, The tour of the car on day of pick up, they went over everything with us and ensured us of all the cars features before we set off. The staff and sales person we dealt with were super friendly and very welcoming, and made the very potentially stressful process of ordering and purchasing the car a very pleasant experience. With the addition of prioritizing my order i am very impressed with the level of customer care and service we got from this dealership. I cannot recommend them enough 5 stars from me. In addition to the sales review, The Tucson we got is superb. very nice family car. Has great safety features and lots of gadgets to use and make life easier on those long drives. With only being the SE Trim level it still has great features and accessories which most would find ample and simple to use even if not so tech savy. Such as hands free calling and voice activated dialing and assistant. lane keep assist, and parking assist sensors make driving this large car a breeze. even auto engine stop start system, Most of these features are only available on higher trim levels with other car models, its refreshing to see such items on a lower trim level as standard. especially for the cost efficient buyer. We are extremely happy with the car.

Absolutely amazing place, clean and slick design all around the store the showroom features a lot of great Hyundai cars and done BMWs but mostly Hyundai, all the cars are available to view from outside and inside and if a car is locked you just need to ask for the keys and they will happily get it for you, everyone is really friendly and they are not the type who would sell everything just to make money they really care about what your needs are and what your budget is. First visit back after lockdown, I was dropping the car off for a service. The showroom is divided with tape on the floor to direct you to the correct area, the signage and markings were perfectly adequate and not overbearing. Customers were allowed to wait inside but no facilities were available. This I think is a little silly, it's very easy to give the toilet a spray every hour or so, the risk of transmission from the virus via a clean toilet, which can easily have anyone using it to have cleaned their hands before and after is extremely low. The service was complete within a hour or so, with a complimentary video sent. Unfortunately due to restrictions the car wasn't cleaned, though I believe the mechanic had to disinfect certain surfaces before and after the service. Overall it was a good experience, no real issues and quick and professional service. 4/5 🖖
