I recently purchased a car from Macklin in Glasgow. Rachel who dealt with us, was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and professional. The hand over day was quick, no hanging around ,with everything ready for us to go. I would definitely recommend Macklin motors to anyone even thinking about buying a car. Not once did I feel pressured which is refreshing these days.

Macklin motors ford Glasgow went above and beyond for me , traveled through from fife to have a test drive in a very reasonable priced car then decided to buy . As I was travelling from fife they managed to get the car ready for me that day within a few hours so I didn't have to make another trip . There customer service was 10 out of 10 for me . All staff I dealt with were well mannered and very polite. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy a car

My car was in getting a couple of thing's checked. As I thought the back seat was loose due to another company's repair and also the new dashboard that other company is making a lot of noise and movement. I can't thank Colin enough for the service I received today the guy who sent the video inspection was very clearly spoken and told me everything in detail the young woman on the front desk was very polite and helpful and the young woman I spoke to on the telephone was very helpful to. What a difference dealing with you today compared to other company that has just fobbed me off and told so many lies. Just returned from Macklin, Kennishead Road, Glasgow after first visit for recall check. Disappointing to note oily footprints over my new carpets in the driver well. Filthy mess. Certainly not what was expected. This is my nearest Ford dealer, hope this is not an example of future service. November 21. Had another reason to visit this outlet with vehicle (Transit Custom Nugget) under warranty. I noticed what looked like oil dripping into the passenger footwell. The van was 6 months old and had less than 2000 miles on the clock. I wanted to know whether it was safe to drive. Again the first question I was asked at reception instead of 'How can we help you' was 'Where did you buy the van'. I explained my concern about the oil in the footwell and the reply was 'Well we can give you an appointment for a check up in 2 or 3 weeks time' but that will just be to assess if any work needs done and then if so it would be another month or longer to book in for any repair. I asked if anyone could at least look at the footwell and tell me if the vehicle was safe to drive. A gentleman eventually appeared dipped his finger in the oil and said yes it looks like oil but we cannot book you in for a few weeks and so on. I asked if he could recommend anyone else in Glasgow who might be able to help and he suggested Peoples garage in Falkirk about 17 miles away. I asked is the van safe to drive and he replied well its closer than where you bought the van (Ford Agent in Dundee. The only dealer in Scotland stocking the model). It became apparent that Macklin had no interest whatsoever in offering me a service. I just wish they had been honest enough to say 'Why don't you go away and don't bother us'. My experience of Ford Dealers so far other than the one I bought the van from has been less than positive. I have taken until now to post this review having come to terms with what was a really bad experience. Buying a £60k + vehicle from Ford I expected a lot more.

The whole transaction was dealt with via the Internet and phone calls. A personalised video was prepared for me of the car, with the salesperson even matching her nail polish to the car’s colour. I selected this garage via the bookmygarage website site due to its proximity, price and being a franchised garage. I booked an MOT and full service. I selected a time slot first thing in the morning and dropped it off. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and there were numerous social distancing measures in place on my arrival; hand sanitiser, gloves, screens, doors propped open. I then received a phone call at lunchtime saying my car was ready. Car had been washed. Recommended

Colonic irrigation or buying a second hand car – the last 2 things on earth I want to do. But needs must, so my colon had to wait and I entered the sharp-suited, fork-tongued world of the used car showroom. Forty years of this has made me cynical! However, this time I found myself talking to a certain young man at Macklin Motors, Derek McNulty. He treated me like a human being and not like a victim. He was polite, respectful, informative, telling me about extras I could have but accepting it simply when I declined. No hard sell! In fact he delivered on every level. This was probably the best experience of buying a car I have ever had. This was almost pleasant. If this is the way Macklin Motors do their work, count me in. I wonder if they do colonic irrigation as an extra. Well done!

Have used ford twice now for the galaxy. The motor is cavernous and what you need for a large family. The galaxy 2l 190 bhp titanium X is quality and very fast ....0-60 =7.7sec.Build quality is just what you’d expect of a ford..rubbish but it’s a £40 K car. Service is great and staff are too but you should expect an expensive car not to fall apart mechanically and electrically just through wear and tear(under 40k miles in 4 years)from new in December 2016.Ive been in for sat nav issues a few times,seat belt mounts a few times and generally all the electronics which is basically everything on a modern car a couple of times. Due to change cars soon and I can’t see past the galaxy again or the Mercedes Vito. Time will tell

Totally satisfied with our recent purchase of a two-year-old car at Macklin, Kennishead, thanks to the good guidance of Mr Malik in sales. We had a rough idea of what we were looking for, but Mr Malik got us interested in a Jeep Renegade automatic, which we'd never have considered before.
