This was our first time dealing with Macklin Motors and our first Nissan. Our sales rep Owen was fantastic from beginning to end. Everything went really smoothly, he made the whole experience really easy. Manager Brian was also very attentive and helpful. Collecting the car was seamless and manager Steven was also very attentive and made a point to speak to us and make sure our experience was a positive one. We would recommend Macklin if your looking for a new car. The service was excellent, Owen's knowledge was evident, and the car itself is brilliant.

I recently purchased a new car from this dealership and the service I received from start to finish was excellent, from sorting out the initial test drives (a standard one that lasted a little over an hour and then a 4 day extended one, which gave me a chance to let my family see the car, fit all the child seats and use it for my day to day driving) through to the sale and delivery. We just purchased a Nissan Juke from this branch of Nissan. Our experience of the assistance we received throughout the whole process from initially viewing the car ( seen online) to finally driving away with the Juke few days later was on a whole a very positive experience. The same sale person dealt with the purchase throughout, she was friendly, very knowleable about the Juke and explained the workings in detail. In terms of after sales, the salesperson provided her business contact details (phone and email) and offered her assistance with any difficulties we may have post sale. She responded sharply to mail questions around any queries we had and offered advice in response. The manager introduced himself and asked if we were being looked after okay which was nice. It was a Golden Ticket event day, so we got £250 off our Juke which was always welcome. The showroom is bright and welcoming, very central so easy to find with good links to the motorway. For getting an electric vehicle, this large showroom has the Nissan Leaf and the eNV200 equivalent in small vans: new and nearly new. The Leaf has been available since before there were so many charging points in Scotland in 2011. There's now PCP monthly payments of around £300 a month and interest free loans from Energy Savings Trust, and the vehicles are made in Sunderland.

Would be 4.5* though their was overall 5*.I used them to help get parts for my previous car (Nissan Navara) and was impressed so put same car in for a service. Turned out that the chassis was heavily corroded and would require significant work as not road safe. So we needed a new car, the service team linked up well with the used car sales team and helped us to get a new car sorted late on a Monday evening. The next day picking up the car, I did have to wait for quite a while to get the keys. The delay was with the finance company getting the money through and though there was complimentary coffee, some indication if it was ok to go grab a bite to eat would have been good. Really was the only down side, but not really their fault so though I've put 5* take it as 4.5*

I visited Macklin Motors Nissan on 18th January 2020 with my father as I was trying to source a new car for him. We were approached by Anthony (Tony) Coughlin, who asked if he could assist, and I advised him that we were wishing to narrow down our search from four cars, which included automatic versions of the Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail. Tony was helpful, polite and professional. After a brief chat regarding our requirements, Tony retrieved the keys for a Qashqai. After we had spent some time looking over the car, I asked whether my father could possibly have a test-drive. Tony, willingly arranged this, despite me telling him that we would be unlikely to purchase a car that day. After taking some details down in the showroom, the test-drive began, and Tony was exceptionally patient and knowledgeable. This put my father at ease, as he is hard of hearing. After the test-drive I advised Tony that although the car was fine, and my father enjoyed driving it, the specification was not up to what he was looking for with the budget he had in mind. Tony spent some-time looking online for other vehicles within the Vertu group with the specification which we required, unfortunately there were none that matched our specific requirements. I left Tony with our details, and he would call me the following Monday to advise whether he had found something suitable. Over the weekend, after my father had decided to increase his budget I sourced an Infiniti QX50 from Vertu Specialist Cars Wallsend (now Hyundai Silverlink), which I left a deposit on. I called Tony on the Monday to advise him of this, and although he was disappointed that he had been unable to assist further he was happy that my father had found a car which would satisfy his requirements, and Tony also gave advice regarding the extended warranty plans which Vertu motors offer. I found Tony to be a non-stereotypical car salesperson, no hard-sell, patient and genuinely interested in ensuring that the customers requirements were met. A true credit to Macklin Motors and the Vertu group. I will be recommending Tony to any family/friends who are in the market for a new car. As our family currently own three Infiniti's, we will have no hesitation in using Macklin Motors for servicing etc., once the Infiniti Franchise in Glasgow closes on 31st March. This is due to Infiniti pulling out of Western Europe. I just hope that our experience with Vertu Specialist Cars Wallsend (now Hyundai Silverlink) will be as good, and will report on this later....
